Limitless The Strongest Revenant-Chapter 947: He’s still alive right? [2/2]
"Let's dance!"
At my roar, all my avatars moved. Wednesday took to the skies, Saturday vanished from sight. Monday and Tuesday charged forward, undaunted. Sunday and Friday got on one knee and took aim.
Thursday then invoked all his abilities in rapid succession.
"[Arsenal]! 100 FT5s! [Rooted]! [SHOCK AND AWE]!"
I already held two FT5s on both arms. The left one was unwieldy, but I didn't need to aim anyway. In our haste to use large-caliber weapons, Exa and I skipped testing the 95mm rockets against the Demonkin.
"FIRE IN THE HOLE!" Thursday shouted at the top of his voice!
The sudden launch of over 100 rockets filled the surroundings with smoke. All I needed to punch through Number 1's skin and defenses was 3.61 megajoules of kinetic energy. While that was hard for small arms. It was a piece of cake for anti-armor rockets.
While the AGM-114 Hellfire missile packed 19.84 lbs. of explosive freedom, it needed a weapons platform to fire it. In contrast, the 95mm HEAT rockets had at most 13.23 lbs. but could be fired by a single soldier.
A 95mm had an even stronger punch than the 70mm Hydra 70. Unfortunately, like the Hydra 70, it was unguided. This meant you needed to aim the thing, and the target had to stay in place. As it was much slower than the Hydra 70, anything but a tank was an unlikely target.
But if your goal was to distract? Then it was more than enough. The giant swarm of missiles all flew towards the demonkin. And as I pounded the fear of modern arms into its skull, it knew better.
Rather than try to tank the missile salvo, I leapt away. It also extended its arms and created a barrier around itself. The 95mm began to rain down and devastate the surroundings. Throwing up dust, smoke, and debris in the air.
[It is wary now. Friday, then Sunday fire!]
"[Annihilate]!" "Firing yellow 7mm Remington Magnum!"
At [Maestro's] advice, two of my avatars pulled the triggers of their guns. The loud roar of the M107 resounded along with the gunshot of my BLR 81. Two powerful rounds made their way to our punching bag.

Friday's sure kill round quickly made its way and ripped through the shields of the Demonkin. Although it didn't have a face, I sensed its panic when its defensive skill failed in one blow.
"Guahhh!"
The [Annihilate] round then buried itself into the shoulder of the Demonkin. It seemed a bit shallow, but the attack fulfilled its purpose. Which was to make way for the 2nd attack.
"W-What?"
Hidden in the slipstream of Friday's 50 Cal was a glowing 7mm {Bestow} round. The 2nd bullet followed the path of the [Annihilate] round and hit our opponent's shoulder. Number 1 couldn't dodge.
"Ughhh…"
Immediately we saw the effects; it didn't have eyes, but if it did, they would be drooping. Losing all tension, the large fiend made shaky steps as it tried to fight the drowsiness. Not that I would let it.
[Vanguard, we will now try the approach of the Vithriss. Remove the malice with Fakers, then fire Sacreds! Go now!]
As I watched Juno's unit attack Number 3, I noticed that they used Faker's and Sacred's alternatively. I didn't know the right order. But their use of both types of energies severely weakened the Demonkin's defenses.
If we only had to fight Fiends and Corpses, I wouldn't have needed {Fabricate}. It was cheaper to just use this combo than to arm everyone with large-caliber weapons.
Breaking out of the smoke, Monday and Tuesday finally arrived. With the Blueridge shield, I bashed the demonkin away. Off balance, I then aimed the M32 MGL at its stomach and fired.
"40mm Sacred. Fire in the hole!"
40mm grenades flew and detonated on its torso. The shock didn't break its skin but was enough to send our opponent to the ground in a loud crash. Not letting it rest, I piloted Tuesday and leapt onto the demonkin's chest and drew back the spear in my hand.
I then brought it down with both arms. Using my full weight, I drove the Faker spear deeper into its chest. Violet blood gushed out of the wound. But I didn't stop; I drew four more and used them all to skewer the hearts of this motherfucker.
"Bleargh!"
As Number 1 began to awaken, I quickly leapt off him. Using Monday, I raised the grenade launcher in my arms and fired 40mm Sacreds! A flurry of detonations followed. The demonkin got knocked around as if he were drunk.
[Saturday!]
"[Shadow]!"
Coming out of concealment, I stabbed my Raging Hunter into the demon's mouth and pulled the trigger. .500 S&W Magnum Sacreds blasted the mouth of the demonkin. The upper half of the demonkin was erased by the brilliant stars I fired.
"Here's something to remember me by."
I then stabbed a Faker Dagger into the insides of the neck of the demonkin. I didn't know if he was still conscious, but I wanted to butcher him as badly as possible. Tied to the end of the dagger were two circular {Blight} grenades. With my job complete, I quickly retreated.
[Alright, let's try our first combination attack! Monday!]
I raised my arm and invoked my skill, "[Inspire]! [Wall]! [Proxy], target Wednesday!"
[Sunday!]
"[2nd Wind]!"
[Wednesday!]
Feeling the wind in my ears, I used Wednesday's body to dive from up in the sky. At 13,000 feet, my body began to speed up rapidly. I stretched my right leg and tucked my body in as I fell.
"[BURST]! [BURST]! [BURST]!"
Invoking [Sky Sentinel's] skill, I increased my speed to the absolute limit. The wind currents began to press on my body as I raced downward. Gravity joined in and drove me even faster. It was a miracle; my suit didn't burn up from the speed.
"HAHAHA! LET'S DO THIS! LIMMMMITTTTTLESSSS!!!!!!!"
My surroundings turned into a blur as I broke the sound barrier. The wind smashed into my body, causing my body to heat up. But as I was in [Proxy], the one that would bear the damage for this attack would be Monday.
In a flash, I descended close enough to see the ground. The Demonkin was still headless and had a knife stabbed down the stump of its neck. Although I could hurt it with modern arms, part of me still wanted to see if I could hurt it with just my body.
'And because ending an enemy with a flying kick is fucking cool.'
"KIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Screaming at the top of my lungs, I roared as my momentum drove me even faster than a speeding bullet. The moment my foot slammed into Number 1, I felt his flesh give way. Like jelly, it couldn't resist my blow and disintegrated.
Without anything to stop me, I blew a hole in the large demon with nothing more than my foot. The ripples of the impact traveled to the rest of Number 1's body, detonating it like a balloon.
Next thing I knew, I crashed to the ground and began skidding on the hard surface. It didn't hurt, but the friction caused my shoes to start melting. My clothes also ripped apart from the shockwaves of the impact.
Eventually, I slowed down enough that I finally regained control. Although there was almost 2 feet of earth that got dug up in front of me.
"HAHA! That was fucking awesome!" I cheered! When I turned around, I saw that there was nothing left of Number 1. Not even his blood splatter remained.
Feeling that I went overboard, I worriedly called out to Exa.
"Exa, he's still alive, right? Please tell me he is."
[My lord, he is alive.]
"YES! Really?"
[No.]
"Fuck..."
