Lingering Passion: Mr. Sutton Wants to be Your Male Lead!-Chapter 180: Oozing Flirtation
When Stella Grant was carried off the windowsill by Silas Sutton, she kicked and struggled at him.
Silas Sutton wasn’t angry; instead, he laughed and carried her into the bathroom, attending to her with diligence.
After showering, they both sat at the table for breakfast.
The buns and soy milk Stella had bought that morning were already cold, but since it was summer, the temperature of the food wasn’t a big deal.
After breakfast, Stella casually grabbed a napkin to wipe her mouth and looked at Silas, asking, "When are you going back?"
Silas sipped his soy milk through a straw, which didn’t quite match his normally dominant aura, "You’re kicking me out right after we just got together?"
Stella’s lips twitched slightly, as if she was annoyed, "I have things to do, no time to keep you company." 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Silas curled his thin lips into a smile, "Do I need you to keep me company?"
Stella said, "But you can’t stay here forever. All the neighbors around here are old acquaintances, and if they see you, they might tell my mom."
Stella tried to reason with emotion; Silas sat up straight, leaned back, one hand on the table, and squinted at her.
Silas didn’t say anything, but Stella understood the meaning in his eyes.
The two of them were now officially a couple, openly and legitimately.
Stella was at a loss; the anger from seeing Lily Harrison that morning dissipated completely, leaving only endless regrets about her own clouded judgment.
After the meal, Silas drove Stella to the hospital.
When the car arrived at the hospital’s inpatient parking lot, Stella quickly unbuckled her seatbelt, fearing that he might shockingly suggest visiting Lynn Adler.
Silas saw through her little thoughts but didn’t expose her.
As Stella opened her mouth to say goodbye to him, Silas tapped lightly on the steering wheel with his fingers and said, "In the next six months, you won’t date anyone else, right?"
Stella was startled for a moment and replied, "No, I won’t."
Silas, "Yeah, I won’t either, and there won’t be any scandals."
Silas said it as if it were a promise, but Stella couldn’t respond.
She wasn’t naive enough to think that their six-month relationship would be like a normal one.
A few minutes later, Stella got out of the car and headed into the inpatient department.
Silas watched her back, pulled out his phone, and dialed Ben Lawson’s number.
When the call connected and Ben said a simple ’Hello,’ Silas’s voice was low and deep, "Hey, Mr. Lawson, have you ever been in love?"
Ben Lawson was about to discuss some business with Silas but was rendered speechless by the nonsensical tone from miles away.
Ben Lawson snorted, "Never dated, but I’m a groom every night."
Silas said, "Yeah, you’ve got it good, don’t date, it’s too tiring."
Upon hearing this, Ben Lawson frowned on the other end, "Did you hit the clubs in the graveyard last night and get possessed?"
Silas didn’t respond to that, just sighed deeply, "I really envy you, living twenty-eight years without ever dating."
Ben Lawson was frustrated.
Is this supposed to be envious?
Silas continued, "I never thought so before, but now I feel it. Dating is really tiring; not only does it tire your mind as you have to think about how to please your girlfriend every day, but it’s also physically exhausting. I slept at dawn last night, and this morning..."
Silas was truly outrageous.
Even on the other end, Ben Lawson couldn’t tolerate his antics any longer. Not waiting for Silas to finish, Ben sneered, gritting his teeth, "So you’re in a relationship, huh?"
Silas feigned surprise, "How did you know?"
Ben, considering their childhood friendship, didn’t want to snap at him, but eventually couldn’t hold back after all, "You’re so ridiculous and dumb right now."
