Chapter 193: Chapter 193: Who Set the Trap

As Silas Sutton finished speaking, Orion Xavier came up from behind with a bodyguard.

The two flanked Kenneth Grant from left and right, holding down his hand that was about to sign.

Realizing their intention, Kenneth Grant’s eyes turned red with anger, "How dare you guys!!"

Facing Kenneth Grant’s furious face, Orion Xavier chuckled nonchalantly, "Uncle, you already have a new family outside, so why bother? At your age, do you really want to be sued for bigamy?"

Orion’s mention of bigamy hit Kenneth Grant right where it hurt.

Kenneth’s restrained hand struggled briefly, his face dark, "I don’t need you to, I’ll sign it myself."

Orion Xavier said, "Well, that’s great."

After speaking, Orion gave a look to the bodyguard holding Kenneth Grant.

The bodyguard understood and stepped back a bit.

Kenneth Grant looked at the pen in his hand, his jaw clenched, and after a few seconds, he slowly and deliberately signed his name where it was needed.

After signing, Kenneth Grant turned to look at Lynn Adler.

Lynn did not look back at him; she was already turned away by Ms. Dunn.

Coming out of the civil affairs bureau, Lynn let out a long sigh of relief on the steps, looked up at the sky, and said, "Nice weather today."

Ms. Dunn understood she wasn’t talking about the weather and echoed, "From today onwards, the weather will be nice every day."

On the way back to the hospital, Kenneth Grant didn’t get in the car.

On the road, Lynn gazed out the car window for a while, then turned and asked Silas Sutton, "That Orion just now, who is he?"

Seeing that the matter was exposed, Silas didn’t hide it anymore, catching Lynn’s eyes in the rearview mirror with a serious demeanor, "Auntie, after what happened yesterday, Stella and I were both uneasy, so we thought to have someone watch over you."

Lynn understood and simply said, "Alright."

Silas added, "If you don’t like having many people in the ward, just let them stay in the hallway."

Lynn smiled faintly, "It’s fine."

After saying this, Lynn took Stella Grant’s hand and squeezed it, patting the back of her hand gently, "Sutton is very considerate of you."

Stella’s lips curled slightly, somewhat absent-mindedly, "Hmm."

When the car arrived at the hospital and they got out, Orion Xavier and the bodyguard came running over from another car to support Lynn.

Lynn glanced at Orion, using the same trick she used on Forrest Keller, "This kid is quite good-looking, does he have a girlfriend?"

Orion, being slicker than Forrest Keller, lied effortlessly, "Yes, we’ve been together for many years, the relationship is very strong."

Lynn believed him, "Really?"

Orion said, "When I have time, I’ll bring her over for you to see."

Seeing Orion’s insincere demeanor, Silas kicked him on the butt.

Orion stumbled forward, silenced by the warning, and obediently closed his mouth.

A few minutes later, the group took the elevator back to the ward.

After settling Lynn down, Stella was about to go downstairs to buy something. Just as she and Silas stepped out of the ward, they ran into the girl who had called after her in the elevator yesterday.

Stella was momentarily startled when she saw her.

Then remembered her name: Michelle Coleman?

Clearly, this girl was waiting for her.

Stella spoke in a calm voice, "What’s up?"

Michelle nervously clutched her own clothing, timidly asking, "Miss Grant, have you forgiven my parents and my brother?"

Stella didn’t want to get entangled with her, and confessed truthfully, "It’s not about forgiveness; I just hope our families never have any connections again."

Hearing Stella’s words, Michelle’s eyes immediately filled with tears.

After a moment, Michelle didn’t say anything else to Stella but turned to face Silas, bowing deeply just like she did to Stella the day before.

Seeing this, Silas raised an eyebrow, puzzled, "?"

Michelle sweetly said, "President Sutton, I’m sorry. Because of my brother’s matter, we brought you such trouble yesterday. I apologize on behalf of my parents and my brother."

Silas initially didn’t recognize who this girl was, but comprehended the situation in a second upon hearing her words.

After Michelle spoke, she pursed her lips and looked up at Silas, her demeanor seemed innocent yet her gaze was flirtatious, attempting to seduce him.

A man like Silas, who has experienced countless encounters, easily saw through her tactics. He sneered inwardly but didn’t show it on his face, "It’s alright."

With that, Silas put an arm around Stella’s shoulder, patting it, "Didn’t you say you wanted to buy something?"

If even a man like Silas could see through the seduction, Stella would naturally see it as well.

But Stella wasn’t sure of Silas’s thoughts, her red lips moved, "Hmm."

After a while, the two of them got on the elevator.

Michelle stood outside the elevator, watching them until the doors closed, then pulled out her phone and sent a message: I’ve got him, fifty thousand, not a penny less.
