Lingering Passion: Mr. Sutton Wants to be Your Male Lead!-Chapter 212: Investing Is a Sure Win
What does it mean?
It means the breeding of ambiguity, it means a special invitation.
After Silas Sutton spoke, Stella Grant looked at him without saying a word.
After a moment, Stella Grant’s red lips moved, "Love makes one lose their senses."
Silas Sutton: "That depends on who it is for."
The implication being, only for you.
After a moment of stalemate, Silas Sutton went into the bathroom, and Stella Grant returned to the bedroom.
Stella Grant had just walked to the bedside and sat down, not yet having time to dry her wet hair, when the phone on the nightstand vibrated twice.
Stella Grant glanced sideways, and a message popped up on the screen: No wonder Manager Grant refused to cooperate with me, turns out there’s a bigger ambition.
The number was still encrypted, Stella Grant’s eyes were calm, and suddenly the image of Miles Sutton flashed in her mind.
When Silas Sutton returned from his shower, Stella Grant tossed her phone to him.
Silas Sutton took it, looked down, opened it, and raised his eyebrows with a sneer, "This is the extent of his capabilities."
Stella Grant, "Is it Miles Sutton?"
Silas Sutton didn’t answer, pressed the phone screen off, leaned over to put the phone on the nightstand, glanced at Stella’s still wet hair, and answered evasively, "Shall I help you?"
Silas Sutton didn’t directly answer the question, and Stella Grant didn’t pursue it further.
After all, this is a private matter of The Sutton Family, and she shouldn’t delve too deeply.
Stella Grant got up to blow-dry her hair in the bathroom, "No need, I’ll do it myself."
A moment later, the sound of the hairdryer blowing hair echoed in the bathroom.
While Stella Grant was drying her hair, Silas Sutton walked over to the window and lit a cigarette. Halfway through, he picked up the phone and sent a WeChat message: Second Master Winslow, lately Miles Sutton has been too idle.
Sean Winslow replied instantly: Got it.
Silas Sutton: His health isn’t good, don’t kill him.
Sean Winslow: I never bully the old, weak, or sick.
Once Silas Sutton finished sending messages, Stella Grant also finished blow-drying her hair.
Silas Sutton listened to the sound and closed his phone into his pocket, strides to the door. As Stella Grant entered, he pulled her into an embrace.
Before Stella Grant could resist, he lifted her and carried her to the bed, laying her down and leaning over.
Silas Sutton’s large hand brushed over Stella Grant’s waist, causing her to instinctively arch her back, "We have to get up early tomorrow." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Silas Sutton laughed deeply, "Yes, so we must act quickly, don’t waste time."
Stella Grant: "Silas Sutton."
Silas Sutton buried his head in her neckline, his voice low and enticing, "Stella Grant, once we return to Veridia we’ll make our relationship public, okay?"
Stella Grant’s body quivered, biting her lip, saying nothing.
Silas Sutton wasn’t in a hurry, his hands and lips worked together. Between breaths, he spoke lowly, "Even if it’s only for half a year, we’re still a legitimate couple, aren’t we?"
Stella Grant was teased until the corners of her eyes turned red, "Silas Sutton, what benefits do you gain from making this public?"
Silas Sutton smirked, "I’ll be in a good mood."
Stella Grant: "I don’t want to."
After all, they’ll break up in half a year, she didn’t want it to become a big deal.
Upon hearing this, Silas Sutton bit into her soft flesh, speaking each word deliberately, "I knew it, you never really saw me as your boyfriend, all this talk of half a year is just placating me."
Stella Grant’s hand on his shoulder tightened, unable to refute.
Helplessness consumed her heart, and her body.
The night was long.
At dawn, Stella Grant kneeled half on the bed, her long hair cascading down her shoulders.
Silas Sutton lowered his head, kissed her slender back gently, his deep eyes filled with tenderness.
The next day.
After a night of torment, Stella Grant slept all the way from Brynnfield back to Veridia.
When the car arrived in Veridia, Stella Grant was the first to pull out her phone and call Lynn Adler to report her safety.
Over the phone, Lynn Adler sounded cheerful, the mother and daughter chatted a bit, Lynn Adler coughed lightly and brought up Silas Sutton, "Sutton, that boy, I think he’s pretty good, what do you think?"
Lynn Adler’s words were full of probing, Stella Grant wasn’t foolish to not notice, "Hmm."
Lynn Adler: "Don’t let past trauma make you fearful, not every man is like Flynn Shepherd."
Stella Grant: "Mom, I know."
Lynn Adler worried that speaking too much would annoy Stella Grant, leading to the opposite effect, she changed the topic and chatted a bit more before hanging up the phone.
After the call ended, Stella Grant turned to look at Silas Sutton beside her.
He had a tall stature and long legs, broad shoulders and a narrow waist, combined with his looks and background, he indeed had "capital."
While Stella Grant was looking, Silas Sutton suddenly looked over at her, his lips curved slightly, "Manager Grant, want a husband? Not a losing investment."
