Livestream: Unlimited Experience!-Chapter 63: A Plan For The Future
After collecting the exam papers under the noisy students, the professor left the classroom.
Seeing that, still deep in their sorrows, the students stood up and also left the classroom.
Jay also stood up, slung his bag on his shoulders, and was about to leave.
But when he noticed that Akira beside him still hasn’t get up, he stopped and asked,
"Aren’t you going out?"
Their next exam will also be conducted in this same room. However, that will be for later at 10 AM.
Until then, it is their free time, that’s why a lot of students went out.
Akira shook her head, "No, I don’t wanna get up."
Jay thought for a bit before sitting back down.
His action attracted Akira’s attention.
"Hmm? I thought you’re going out?"
"Well, how could I leave my friend here when she obviously looks depressed."
Jay shrugged.
Then gazing at her, he asked, "What happened? You can’t be sad because of what I said earlier, we always joke like that."
"So, it should be something else..."
Tapping his finger on the desk, Jay thought about it for a few seconds before he suddenly paused.
Slowly turning his head to Akira, Jay said, "Could it be, did you apply to another entertainment company again?"
Akira finally raises her head and meets Jay’s eyes.
Seeing her sullen eyes, it was more than enough of a confirmation for Jay.
Jay let out a helpless sigh and went silent.
To be honest, Jay understands Akira. Her continuous desire to pursue her dreams is something that he also has in the past.
For him, he was lucky and got something as miraculous as the Cube.
Thanks to it, he managed to realize his dream of becoming a popular streamer.
But Akira doesn’t have that same luck.
All she can do is try and try again. Apply to entertainment companies until someone notices her.
However, the result of her endeavor could be seen on the look of her face at the moment.
Sighing once again, Jay thought of a way how he can be of help to Akira.
He remembered Kathryn that he met last week. She’s a talent scout and should be able to help in some ways.
’Maybe I should give her a call and ask?’
But just as the thought appeared, Jay shook his head and extinguished the idea.
’I should try to avoid asking for favors.’
As someone who stood at his own feet at a young age, Jay knows the implications behind favors.
Maybe not now, but someday, you’ll have to pay back favors that you owe others.
That’s why for the current Jay, he’s not ready to owe others a favor.
With that idea crossed out, Jay thought hard about what he could do.
Jay and Akira are the only two people in the room. Making the atmosphere around them very quiet and peaceful.
Suddenly, Jay remembered something about Akira.
Turning to her, he asked, "You’re a writer, right? Do you still write nowadays?"
Back in their first year, Akira introduced herself as an aspiring actress in the future. At the same time, she said that her hobby is writing stories.
Being close to her, Jay had the chance to read her work and knew that they are great in quality.
He even told her that her writing doesn’t fall behind even to some top online writers that he follows!
However, Akira doesn’t seem to believe that she possesses great writing skills and didn’t take his compliments seriously.
In her words, "Writing is just a hobby, how could I compare to those people who take it seriously."
With her pursuit being an actress and standing on the mainstream media someday, Akira poured all attention in that direction.
Because of that, Akira never really took writing seriously and did it only to pass the time.
...
Despite being confused by the sudden question, Akira still answered, "Yeah. That’s the only way I can pass the time anyway."
Hearing the positive response, Jay smiled.
"Good, good."
Nodding twice, Jay looked at Akira seriously and said,
"How about we try to develop you in that direction?"
Unsurprisingly, Akira sighed and said, "Writing is just a hobby. I’m not even good at it, how can I develop in that direction?"
"I already told you about that before, right?"
However, Jay just maintained his smile,
"Relax, you have to believe in me and yourself, okay?"
"Also, we won’t exactly just head into the direction of being a writer. I thought of something."
Saying that, Jay moved closer to Akira and whispered something in her ears.
The next moment, light came back to Akira’s eyes and she turned her head to Jay.
"Really? Is that really possible?"
In her voice, there’s the audible doubt. But at the same time, there is also a hint of expectation from it.
With a confident smile on his face, Jay patted her on the shoulder.
"Don’t worry, just trust me."
Akira nodded, "Alright, alright. I’ll write something immediately and give it to you."
After saying that, Akira ignored Jay and started doing something on her phone with a serious look on her face.
Jay smiled after seeing her like that.
Time passed by in silence and soon it was 10 AM.
All the students are back in the room and the professor arrived as well.
Just like that, the second exam for the day started.
With it being an exam week, all students inside the campus have a solemn vibe around them.
Some of them are in a rush, walking while reading a book in hand, eating while reviewing, you can even hear some people muttering something under their breaths from time to time.
Under that kind of atmosphere, even the laziest students were fired up.
And just like that, the first day of the exam week has ended.
5 PM.
Jay walked out of the campus in a leisurely manner alone.
Today, besides the two exams in the morning, he also had another two in the afternoon.
Because of that, he felt a little mentally drained after using his brain for the whole day.
