Lord of Mysterious Wizard-Chapter 1003 - 836: Anchor of Destiny and Sally
The raider fleet descending on the Origin Star through the Obelisk Passage, with its cold and arrogant so-called "oracle," brought more fear and anger to the Federation than the previous two crises, the "Bright Blood Road" and the "Radiation Experiment Body."
Official agencies and numerous extraordinary organizations, as well as a large number of Transcendents, have already prepared to intervene in this inexplicably terrifying confrontation.
Though, judging by the strength of both sides, the outcome of intervention wouldn’t be favorable; whether "Black Mud" or "Master Tang," the power they wield clearly surpasses this era.
And those who should truly intervene, even stop the Black Mud.
Like the largest extraordinary organization, the "Bright Church," or other organizations capable of summoning "Divine Descent," have remained silent.
Watching the warships grow in number, the terrifying shadows, the incredibly evil whisperings filling the minds of every citizen in Secret Phoenix State, it’s soon going to turn this ancient state into a land of madness and slaughter.
Within the Dream Kingdom, just as Tang Qi was about to take action.
Suddenly, a series of dazzling changes began unfolding within Secret Phoenix State, bewildering the citizens.
Right beneath that Obelisk Passage, within the Tilos Secret Realm, accompanied by an angry roar, pillars of light surged from the secret realm, attacking the fleet. Among them was a massive female figure, half-human half-goat, with an extremely powerful aura. In her hand was a harp composed of Holy Oak, thorns, and the strings of starlight.
The melodious sound of the harp, once resonating throughout the Thorn Event, sounded once more.
The creepy whisperings were immediately neutralized by this divine artifact, the "Star Harp."
"The Tilos Demon Clan has begun their counterattack!"
In a secret chamber beneath the Federation, a polymath just uttered this sentence.
In Secret Phoenix City, salamanders wearing crowns rushed out, accompanied by the majestic voice of William O’Neill, as a sea of righteous flames surged towards the raider fleet.
Simultaneously, within the beautiful and dreamy "Witch School," two horrifying attacks erupted at that moment.
The Green Dragon Ridge Lake, resembling an "Ancient Green Dragon," seemed to have revived, raising its head and spewing green pillars of light at the densely packed fleet.
This scene was not unfamiliar to the mysterious side, and a polymath consultant quickly explained to Joey Cleveland: "When the leader of the Shepherd Sect attempted to raise the divine throne, it was thwarted by this ’Green Dragon Breath’ from the Witch School."
Before the words had even fallen, next to the dragon emitting breath, a Flame Goddess was born, wielding a giant flame sword seemingly capable of cleaving the earth, slashing towards the fleet.
While the Witch School deployed these two methods, an extremely special "Extraordinary Team" also appeared at this moment in the eyes of hundreds of millions of Federation citizens.
The members of this team were all semi-big children, none older than fifteen.
Under the furious and worried gazes of the citizens, these children charged towards the warships.
"The officials must do something; they are just children after all."
"Are they students from that Witch School? It’s heartbreaking to see them protecting Secret Phoenix State."
"My God, look at the girl in the middle, what is she holding in her arms?"
"A baby? She’s holding a baby. Has the Federation gone mad? Why would they let a baby go on our behalf..."
The angry voices of the citizens were interrupted by an incredible scene on the television screen:
The extremely old-looking baby held by "Nidya" suddenly opened its eyes, giggled, and extended its rough, wrinkled hand towards the warships overhead Secret Phoenix City. Without any grand commotion accompanying it, those ships, previously emanating creepy whispers and flickering yellow eyeballs, appeared to simultaneously shut down, tumbling down toward the suburbs with a rumble.
Despite still being in baby state, "Dream Eater John’s" intervention seemed to be a signal, as the other children also took action.
Recently graduated but now returning, Noah, Shay, Tate, Peggy, Austin, the Hannahs... these young Transcendents, each with formidable talents who briefly performed in the Thorn Event and thereafter made names for themselves in the Federation’s extraordinary world, now, under the gaze of hundreds of millions of citizens, showcased astonishing combat power.
None of them individually possessed "Legendary Level" power, but in a short amount of time, with mutual coordination, they completely halted the advance of the fleet.
Anyone who saw a group of semi-big children, exceedingly young Transcendents, halting the "Exotic Realm Invader Fleet" amidst roaring warfare, would be captivated with shock, including the president himself.
Joey Cleveland was thoroughly stunned by the scene before him.
He swallowed back the order, about to be given to officials to take action, instead asking, somewhat dumbfounded: "Does your provided list of powerful extraordinary organizations in the territory include the Medida Special Education School?"
A group of polymath consultants shook their heads in unison, equally astonished by the scene depicted on the screen, with one recalling and quickly stating:
"The ’problematic children’ within the Witch School possess strong talents, albeit with great drawbacks. However, Master Tang did mention once that he has resolved the flaws of the children in the school, believing every one of those children would at least become Legendary Level Transcendents in the future."
"We agree with Master Tang’s assessment, just not expecting the speed to be so fast."
"However, this is temporary, Mr. President. The Tilos Demon, the Ancient Castle Bureau, and Witch School cannot hold off the raider civilization’s fleet for long. Within at most a few minutes, Secret Phoenix State would turn into ruins, we can’t afford to hesitate any longer..."
...
In the Dream Kingdom, the real Tang Qi observed the scene unfolding within Secret Phoenix State, unable to suppress a touch of gratification on his face; the children were growing faster than he had anticipated.
However, his expression soon turned solemn and serious once again.
While Secret Phoenix State remained temporarily safe, his phosphorescent Dreamy Eyes continued to focus on the entire Federation, tracing the whereabouts of the Black Mud, with the dream light almost rendering the entire Federation into a "Realm of Light."
But unfortunately, it’s still useless.
Tang Qi clearly still has the ability to deal with the "raider civilization." The fleet is very powerful, but as long as the "Master of Horror," a dominator-level god, does not descend, Tang Qi can dispatch Dream Favored or use divine artifacts like the "Gun of Life Destruction" and "Spirit Summoning Box" to destroy that fleet.
But what about afterwards?
The current situation is too passive; unable to attack the Black Mud directly, Tang Qi remains in the position of "prey." As the Beckfast Chair suggested, he is being toyed with.
From the onset of the crisis, Tang Qi’s mind has never stopped flickering, frantically considering the effective means he can utilize.
"Seek help from Rafael? Rule that out first. Since dawn, the red skull symbol representing ’war’ on the Truth Thorns has been flashing, indicating that Rafael and his Thorns Camp are mired in a heavily tangled war quagmire."
"Go all out, merge with the Dream Dominator Body, and fully descend onto the Origin Star? While that could temporarily unleash dominator divine power and possibly kill Black Mud in one blow, there’s a higher chance of unexpected events. The repulsive power of Origin Star might instantly cause me to lose control, giving Black Mud an opportunity."
"Or abandon everything and flee the Origin Star directly? Although likely to succeed, the consequence would be a shift in my camp. Even the slightest shift could at some future moment deliver a deadly blow, causing my fall..."
Several options arose in Tang Qi’s mind. Each seemed better than passively waiting for death, yet each also had fatal flaws.
What left Tang Qi undecided, keeping his mind tense, was that the Black Mud had already exhibited strong power, but he couldn’t be certain if this was all the might it possessed?
Or was the Black Mud merely toying with the "Hidden Net," and its real powers had yet to be unleashed?
Just as he was frantically contemplating, entangled in a mesh of chaotic thoughts.
Suddenly, while embodied as the Dream Master, Tang Qi sensed an "abnormal movement," appearing in his realm without any warning.
Deborah Town?
Without any hesitation, Tang Qi’s face showed a hint of joyful expectation. He lowered his head to look at the source of the abnormal movement, up in the dreamy bubbles of Deborah Town, where a divine bubble enclosing White Merlin and a Unicorn was shattering, but it wasn’t Merlin emerging from it.
Instead, it was a figure that made Tang Qi’s mind tremble. She wore a familiar, bewitching witch’s robe, her face so beautiful it could drive one mad, inspiring infinite admiration.
"Sally!"
Even Tang Qi couldn’t suppress the surprise and joy that surged forth at this moment.
He immediately noticed Sally was different from before.
Sally, emerging from the dream bubble, was always shrouded in a mist that seemed impossible to disperse, impossible to pierce, enhancing Sally’s mysterious allure.
In her hand, she held an object with an inexplicable aura, making Deborah Town unstable, and causing a faint tremor.
Anchor!
It was an ancient, mottled anchor, mixed with endless colors but ultimately turning transparent, as if it did not exist.
Tang Qi didn’t use the All-Knowing ability to peer into it, nor did he need to.
Sally’s mere appearance in the Dream Kingdom wasn’t surprising to Tang Qi. She simply looked at Tang Qi, now in the form of a "tentacle god," showing a mischievous smile that made the whole Dream Kingdom more vivid and dreamy.
Yet Sally, clearly aware of the urgency of the time, spoke, her immensely gentle and alluring voice echoing in Tang Qi’s mind the very next second.
"This is just my projection. The real me is still caught in the whirlpool of war between the ’Witch of Misfortune’ and the ’Lucky Girl’... I located your realm through this Mister Merlin. We have only a brief time together."
"Those coveting your ’Origin Black Mud’ possess very powerful forces. They can borrow even more terrifying authority from the ’Origin Divine Race,’ enough to nullify the divine power of most members of the All Spirits... but Destiny Divine Power is excluded, which is why I borrowed this divine artifact."
"Its name is... the Anchor of Destiny."
"But you only have temporary usage rights. It will automatically return to the River of Destiny at some point in the future, and the method to use it..."
As Sally was about to speak further, she seemed to encounter some unknown hindrance.
The mist enveloping her suddenly thickened, spreading rapidly, not only silencing her continued words but seeming to encase her, pulling her away from the Dream Kingdom.
Realizing something, Sally had to halt.
Before being enveloped by the mist, Sally’s expression turned uncomfortable for a moment, silently cursing, "Stingy...XX."
Perhaps due to her curse, the mist spread faster. As Sally was about to disappear from Deborah Town, Tang Qi had no time to stop her or do anything.
Suddenly, a surprising yet familiar scene unfolded in an instant, Sally’s mist-enshrouded form suddenly grew immensely large, right in line with Tang Qi’s "Dream Dominator Body." As Tang Qi couldn’t move due to controlling divine power, Sally’s misty form approached.
In the next instant, Tang Qi felt a warmth, a sense of nihility at the corners of his lips, as the mist before him blinked apart.
In the depths of his mind and heart, Sally’s voice, fraught with reluctance, rose, "Remember to come save me... my beloved."
"Dang!"
The mist dissipated, and the Anchor of Destiny fell into Deborah Town.
