Chapter 550: Chapter 508: Do You Want to Sign a Contract?

Blue Deer City Airport, within a lounge that was not open to the public, a horrifying scene was unfolding, filled with an intangible malice and an icy chill that instinctively made the living humans unwilling to approach.

Inside, a world was caught in a stand-off between the grey stillness of death and the lively, burning red.

Magic Power was pouring out of Tang Qi’s body like floodwaters, confronting the distorted, wavering grey tentacles of the Human Figure that was still floating behind the little boy, emitting a Radiance known as "Death Radiance". Two completely opposing forces should have resulted in an explosive reaction.

But in reality, they were dissolving each other.

Clearly, according to standards of the Mysterious Side, they were at the same Level.

Perhaps due to the presence of Molten Magic, among the frozen crowd, several figures were starting to Awaken.

The quickest among them was the little boy who had perfectly inherited Ralph Witchcraft’s Talent. He seemed to have awoken from utter bewilderment, his face blank with confusion, but he soon realized the environment he was in and the scene unfolding before him.

His previous intuition had been correct.

That "Big Brother" who appeared out of nowhere in the airport and whom nobody could find, possessed the power to contend with a Death God.

What was most critical was that he felt an incomparable closeness to the other, far more than when he saw his own uncle.

Had it not been for that, he would not have chosen to seek help.

Almost simultaneously, El, who still retained some witchcraft Talent within him, and the little boy’s mother, El’s sister Lia, the beautiful woman who had just returned from a State in Europe, also awoke.

After seeing the terrible vision before her eyes, her first thought was to turn back and protect her child.

Unfortunately, waking up was already her limit; she couldn’t move a muscle.

Just like El, her body was frozen in place.

Tears flowed from her eyes in an instant.

As a mother, being powerless to save her own child threw her into total panic and on the verge of collapse. She quickly realized that her brother and her situation were no different; the only "hope" was the source of the frightening Flames.

The young man carrying a suitcase, looking distinguished.

Lia’s eyes were a red, as tears kept falling. She trembled her lips as if using up all the strength of her body and even her soul, casting a pleading look at Tang Qi, her voice was weak and hoarse as she uttered.

"Save... my child... Austin!"

"Boom!"

An unexpected Magic storm suddenly erupted within the lounge due to Lia’s action.

The Source was not Tang Qi.

It was the little boy "Austin", who had just regained his thoughtfulness. The little boy, who had initially seemed as lovely as an Elf, now had a solemn face, and in his deep blue eyes, there surged an alarming wrath.

A tide of Magic welled up within him, which even Tang Qi couldn’t help but glance at, gradually allowing him to twist his body bit by bit. He knew that the "Death God", who had been with them on the plane attempting to kill all passengers, stood right behind him.

Not only Tang Qi was surprised; when Austin erupted, the atmosphere of the Death God’s Representative also stuttered momentarily, but soon after a colder, more Horrific, grey Radiance began to spill out, and one of his invisible tentacles even wrapped around Austin "inadvertently".

His turning movement stopped immediately, and at the same time, the grey that had disappeared began to creep up again; Rotten Black Spots began to emerge across Austin’s lovely face.

The Death God’s Representative glanced at Austin, then once again, that gaze filled with dead silence and iciness fell upon Tang Qi.

He already knew that Austin was the descendant of a powerful wizard, but in his eyes, the crude use of Magic Power was nothing more than a child waving a blade around, somewhat Reckless but incapable of posing any threat to a formidable Transcendent like himself.

But Tang Qi, not only did he pose a threat, but he also smelled the scent of "Death".

Confronting the young wizard Tang Qi, it was very possible that he would encounter the real Death God... The desolate mindscape of the Representative was occupied by such an omen.

His blurred "visage" released another fluctuation.

"My Lord, you should know that when Death comes, no one can stop the flow of Life. Please allow me to complete the mission of this journey, I have already been delayed for a long time because of this little guy... My Lord can rest assured, this little boy is not among the Prey..."

A somewhat faltering speech came from the Deputy.

Tang Qi could feel the helplessness in his words because it did not fit with the Death God’s Deputies’ set function.

Although there are many Death Gods in the "Mysterious", even some True Gods or Evil Gods would occasionally take on the role of "Death God".

Each Death God has their followers, Deputies or Servants.

They mostly possess similar power, also called the power of "Death".

Tasked with reaping Life everywhere, Deputies are typically silent, cold, and emotionless, a purely mechanical existence.

To be patient and explanatory like the present is normally unheard of.

It can only be said that bowing to the strong applies most fittingly within the Mysterious Side, even if this one’s backer is a Death God from the "Mysterious".

Tang Qi heard the words and fell into silence. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

Indeed, the situation before him was unprecedentedly tricky. If it were a simple case of Evil, creatures of the Chaotic Camp attacking humans, even if Lia and Austin, the two related to him, were not among them, he would choose to intervene.
