Chapter 994: Chapter 827: The Night Beast and Elf at Death’s Door

Listening to the intermittent sound, Jason turned his head to look back.

Under the tree, the once beautiful and wild female Fanya had decayed to an unbearable extent. After uttering that final sentence, she died completely.

Her Fanya eyes looked at Jason one last time, then her body collapsed, and purple light points scattered all over the sky.

"Die for me!"

"Bang"

Jason finally no longer suppressed his anger and killing intent, turning to pull the trigger.

The Truth Hunting Gun, firing the truth of death.

With the divine power of the Thorny Sovereign, the raider larva, which had devoured many of its kind and whose aura was cold and evil, was instantly blasted into pieces of flesh. But the expected splattering scene didn’t occur, as those pieces of flesh and mechanical creations suddenly collapsed from within.

A thick mix of black, green, and yellow lights erupted, and when the glow subsided, a special "tombstone" appeared in front of Jason.

In the shape of an obelisk, its surface was covered with a sticky outer skin similar to those of the battleships, with black-green hairs swaying, and dense yellow eyeballs scattered about, yet all appeared rigid, devoid of any sign of life.

Without possessing the "All-Knowing" cheat, Jason could only rely on his own perception to make judgments.

He hesitated and pondered for a moment, finally slowly pressing his finger against the eerie obelisk tombstone.

"Boom"

The black, green, and yellow light mixed and surged again, transmitting information to Jason’s mind, revealing that Mido Ya hadn’t lied.

Killing the last raider warrior would earn you a tombstone.

Though called a tombstone, it was more like a kind of "spoils reward."

It offered Jason two options, one of which he would never consider.

He glanced back at the other side under the tree, where the female Fanya had fallen, leaving no relics, and Jason couldn’t obtain any memento to remember this female Fanya.

Remembering the thrilling experiences of the past ten hours, Jason sighed with reddened eyes.

"Mido Ya, may you return to the embrace of the Forest God."

With those words, he made a decision.

A choice that was bound to be made, as with the final communications from the raider larva warrior, this Hunting Ground Star would soon be destroyed by the "raider civilization" mothership.

Without hesitation, Jason’s finger sharply pointed at one of the eyeballs on the obelisk, and he whispered, "Return."

The next moment, the tri-colored light erupted again, and the entire obelisk collapsed into a mass of black hole-like matter, swallowing Jason’s half-man, half-goat body, and then vanished completely amidst a sweeping storm.

Just a few seconds after Jason returned to the Origin Star, an unprovoked breeze swept through the blood-reeking slaughter forest.

A bizarre scene emerged beneath the ancient tree where the female Fanya died.

The purple light points that had flown and dissipated reappeared, quickly gathering, revealing a wild body like that of the ancient Elf Clan.

Mido Ya, she wasn’t dead?

Whether in aura or body, the resurrected female Fanya was no different from the Mido Ya who had helped Jason live and die together before.

The only difference was the mocking, intense sarcasm curled at her lips instead of a wild, natural smile.

"...The transformed thorns... are too troublesome..."

As these intermittent words came out, Mido Ya’s body began to silently change.

Pitch-black and icy, with spreading black spots that seemed to freeze space-time, in a blink, a Black Mud Asexual stood in the forest.

"...But it’s good... The signal tower has already been taken back by Tilos, a creature of the Origin Star... It won’t be rejected."

With an eerie overlapping murmur, the Black Mud Man stepped forward.

Before his eyes, time and space shifted, and when he reappeared, the Black Mud Man was suddenly in the dark, endless starry sky.

Behind him lay the now dead-silent Hunting Ground Star.

Before him, deep within the endless starry sky, warships covered in "Evil God Skin and hair" densely and neatly arranged.

This was a fleet, a raider fleet!

At the very forefront of the fleet was a warship so enormous it was unimaginable, floating like a star sky giant beast, seemingly emitting an indescribable whisper sufficient to pollute an entire planet, with a rustling sound causing many wandering creatures from afar to flee in terror.

This warship, as if alive, seemed to respond to the "Black Mud Man," as eyeballs on its surface, originally dull and dim, now lit up and began to flicker.

All the raider warships began to flicker.

"Set off!"

The Black Mud Man’s deathly overlapping sound suddenly drilled into all the warships.

...

In the Dream Kingdom, Tang Qi was immersed in the "True Love Fable," with the plot becoming more and more exciting, approaching the most intense segment.

Just as he couldn’t help but summon some Extraordinary Food to indulge in, suddenly, his expression changed rapidly as he directly looked toward a corner of the laboratory.

The void rippled and a portal opened wide.

The Fool’s Ship, with its flickering ship lamp, sailed out, and the second Tang Qi appeared.

But the first to disembark was not the avatar, but Gluttony, who waved its buckle, forming an anxious and angry face in a visible area. Although it’s a pocket creature and somewhat special, it also possesses its own emotions and feelings.

Gluttony rushed over to Tang Qi, quickly spitting out two metallic badges, each bearing the "Dream Emblem" from the cover of the Book of Nothingness.

These are Transcendent alarms; if the bearer encounters a life-threatening crisis, it automatically notifies the true owner.

As Tang Qi immediately recognized them, Gluttony’s intensely worried emotions were also conveyed.

"The Elf... Night Beast... both little ones are in life-threatening danger."

"Boom"

Gluttony fell into anxiety, and the Sad Frog at Tang Qi’s feet suddenly returned to its normal form.

It transformed into a majestic Divine Chair, like a living shadow, directly supporting Tang Qi’s body.

"Master, those murky things have started."

Fak’s voice trembled slightly.

But it perfectly executed Tang Qi’s immediate order, and Beckfast began to emit ghost light. Seated atop, Tang Qi watched his world shatter, as endless symbols and light erupted, shattering everything, while the Divine Chair carried Tang Qi through the endless world fragments.

Soon, the Divine Power of Beckfast Chair located two clusters of world fragments.

One on each side, presenting two perilous scenes:

The first is in the "Hidden Mist Realm" where the Night Beast resides, a world that every Shadow Beast must endure upon maturity. Here, a large number of bizarre Mist Creatures exist, an undying and eternal life form, viewing each other as food with the Shadow Beasts.

Individually, they are much stronger than Shadow Beasts. In this mist-covered dark land, Night Beasts, which would otherwise be powerful extraordinary creatures in other worlds, are reduced to mayflies.

But the Night Beast, which has followed Tang Qi for long, is different. It possesses typical Tang Qi slyness, employing deceit and disguise to its utmost, making it not the hunted in this Mist Realm but the hunter, continuously devouring the Dark Mist Beasts to strengthen itself.

If no accident happened, while other Shadow Beasts struggle to survive, the little one could soon complete its promotion and, with some greed, consume enough Mist Beasts to even advance to the "Demigod Level".

Unfortunately, an accident did occur.

At this moment, the Hidden Mist Realm was almost "boiling". Those lantern-eyed monsters that roamed the land slowly were, for unknown reasons, able to recognize the little one’s "disguise" and directly locked onto it, commencing a frantic chase.

The Mist Sea roiled, the Night Beast transformed into a shadow, fleeing at its limits. Behind it, countless Mist Beasts pursued with seemingly clumsy yet extraordinarily fast postures.

Beams of orange light crazily mapped and captured, attempting to pin the little one in place.

Every time it passed over the shadow it had become, it seemed to bring it some intolerable pain, with mournful cries emanating from beneath its bone mask.

Its shadow began to shrink, becoming more and more tenuous.

This was evidently not a good sign, as it indicated the Night Beast was heading towards death.

The second fragment presented a scene no better than the Night Beast’s, and even worse.

It was an immensely vast realm, with remnants revealing its former beauty, but constant war had destroyed it, leaving almost everywhere on the land in ruins.

Within a certain ruin, familiar Phoenix the Old Elf led elves battling against a horde of large monsters.

These monsters had much in common with the elves but were entirely opposite in aura, obese, rotten, exuding an evil, chaotic presence, withering anything beautiful in their path, leaving destruction.

Demon Clan!

Nearly sharing the same bloodline with the Elf Clan, yet they belong to the Chaotic Evil Camp.

Their numbers completely overwhelmed Phoenix the Old Elf’s nascent rebel army, including the powerful elves such as Enia Silver Scale and Odin Grey Elf, who were thoroughly outmatched.

Yet the most tragic scene was Vernas the Little Fairy being besieged by four "Legendary Level" demons. Her petite, delicate body looked pitiful against the onslaught of the grotesquely large demons.

The magic she cast was powerful but could only deal with one demon.

Under the flood of soul-burning black flames, all-penetrating evil red light, body-corrupting stinking black mud, and the foul-smelling dark green smoke, the little fairy darted desperately, her Magic Power rapidly depleting, the gemstone on her forehead dimming, even cracking.

With accompanying "crackling" sounds, she couldn’t maintain flight anymore, tumbling downwards as four stench-spraying gigantic mouths lunged.

Odin Grey Elf and others roared in fury, attempting desperately to save her, but to no other end than leading themselves to death.

...

In the Dream Kingdom, inside the Experimental Tower, as Gluttony watched these two scenes, it continuously lashed the ground with its buckle, simultaneously revealing its "blood bowl mouth", its furious and sorrowful emotions spreading uncontrollably.

Gluttony could see that its two partners were near death.

Tang Qi didn’t even need to look, nor sense it.

In the depths of his mind, the Elf and Night Beast, who were both nearing the end of their lives, made the same choice without planning, sending the last thoughts of closeness and reluctance across the vast spacetime.

"Goodbye, my master."

"Goodbye, my master."
