Chapter 182: Chapter 182 – Abuse of authority.

"So... What will it be? Guild master Amelia Smith?" – asked the man as he held the badge carrying the authority of the newly crowned duke.

"Tch."

"Even if you have that bloody thing, it won’t work, you know that, right?" – asked the guild master who was now visible nervous after understanding her current situation.

"If you are thinking about having adventurers being stationed here, while the whole empire is in the current shitty state, then forget it."

"It will be a physically impossible order."

(Yes. This is the truth.) – thought the guild mater.

(I don’t want to become enemy with the duke or the emperor.)

(But the current situation?)

(He doesn’t hold any logical grounds.)

"1 month." – said Arthur.

"I want the adventurers to stay here for over 1 month after the dungeon has been conquered."

"Rejected." – said guild master instantly.

"The same problem as before. We can’t waste time." – said the guild master, which made Arthur visible angry.

"If you want more adventurers, then it is better if you post request not only in multiple regions, but possible in different kingdoms."

"But from what I know? The relationship with neighboring kingdoms isn’t at its best."

"So what are you going to do, huh?"

"..."

(I’ve thought I’ve got her.... But I guess she ain’t an idiot.) – thought Arthur.

(This is annoying.)

(If I knew situation would turn this way, I would had requested a reinforcement of our own golems to come here.)

(But even if I do request now, it may take even a month or maybe even more until they get here.)

(The conquest of the entire forest.... If the adventurers are aiming to make sure that the casualties will be kept to the minimum and no golem would be left on the lose.... And add the time probably necessary to clear up all the monsters inside of the dungeon.)

(Depending on high difficult of the situation is, it could take between 3 or maybe 4 weeks... Or maybe even month.)

(It could give me time.... No.)

(The golem production is at the all-time high.)

(Would we be able to produce enough high-ranking golems with the situation?)

(We also need somebody who can think.)

(Soldiers and knights.)

(Gathering them up and having them come all this way to here would take a lot of time.)

(It could take even 2 months or more.... If the monster outbreak or a terrorist attack were to happened.... Then there is even a chance of 3 months delay.)

(No wait. Preparations work and travel time may take much longer, if they are planning on coming here with big group.)

(I’ve gotten here on the fastest horse and it took me still over a month.)

(And there is a chance that some random bullshit could occur.....)

"..."

"Half a month." – said Arthur.

"Is it possible?"

"..."

"I can’t make any promise." – said Amelia.

"It depends on the whole chaos and what not."

"If the circumstances in some places around this territory changes, I will be forced to send out adventurers."

"IF the circumstances regarding the dungeon may change."

"And the dungeon master does something extremely bad, which could make all hell go lose.... Then I will have to order the dungeon master execution as well as destruction of the dungeon."

"If I don’t get any word."

"Any information within 10 days after the dungeon has been conquered."

"Any real confirmation."

"The dungeon is getting destroyed."

"This is the best I can do."

"?!"

"10 DAYS?! ARE YOU FUCKING WITH ME RIGHT NOW?!" – shouted extremely pissed off Arthur.

"Don’t you dare raise your voice on me! Boy!" – said Amelia as she stood up to the man.

"I know what kind of authority you have and everything!"

"And I’m scared!"

"But I can’t fucking make impossible happened just because you wish so!"

"And I’m pretty sure that authority you were given does not make me a freaking god that can grant you all your stupid wishes!"

"..."

"I understand." – replied Arthur as he clenched his fists.

"I will start arrangement on my end."

"Okay.... But do remember that you have also your CURRENT job." – said Amelia.

"If you want these golem materials, then you better don’t slack off or try to delay the dungeon raid."

"Since you are probably aware what sort of shitty situation both of us will end up in."

"And I’m not freaking threatening you."

"Since right now, both of us are in the same shit hole right now."

"..."

"Don’t worry. I understand the situation perfectly." – said Arthur as he then left the tent.

(Fucking bitch.) – thought Arthur as he walked through the camp.

(She is beyond annoying... And dealing with her will be problematic.)

(Not only that, she is also annoyingly smart.)

"..."

(Yeah.... She can’t be left in charge after the dungeon is conquered.)

(But I can’t really just "get rid of her".)

(I need somebody replace her position here.)

(But fuck me!)

(She is really putting me in THAT kind of situation?)

"..."

*Sigh*

(As much as it annoys me, I have no choice but to contact them.)

(This dungeon’s value is beyond anything we could had image.)

(And we are just scratching the surface!) – thought the man as he was reaching the edge of the camp, before then leaving it all together and heading to the isolated tent which belonged to the man.

"..."

"Is there anything you didn’t reported yet?" – asked the man as the shadow underneath the bed suddenly came to life and took a form of the leader of the Silver Talons.

"Yes." – replied the leader of the Silver Talons.

"After the battle was over, the golems went around and gathered up their bolts they shot everywhere."

"Not only that, but they didn’t stopped moving afterwords."

"There is good chance that they are preparing for the next attack."

"And there is another thing."

"We seen new type of golem."

"A one that looks like monkey."

"They were stealthy and well hidden... But they didn’t looked like the combat types."

"I think they may had been these unknown monkey golems reported by the elven guild master who went missing."

"From what I’ve seen, these golems were looking around."

"..."

"Wait.... Are by any chance, they are scouts?" – said Arthur who instantly realized the purpose of these mysterious golems.

(If that is the case, it would explain how the enemy seen us coming beforehand.)

(....And if that is the case.... Then the one using these golems maybe the dungeon master.)

(Maybe he is using them to see the outside world?)

(Dammit! This only proves further its intelligence level!)

(And there is even higher chance that it knows the secrets of the golemancy we don’t have clue about!)

"..."

"Should we aim to capture one of these golems?" – asked the leader of the Silver Talons.

"..."

"Can you do it?" – asked Arthur.

"The golems appear to be small and don’t really appear to possess any real fighting ability of their own."

"..."

"No." – said Arthur.

"I honestly would want to see for myself one of these golems, and still active one at that."

"But the fact remains that the dungeon still sees us as enemies."

"We don’t even know if we can communicate normally with the dungeon master."

"?"

"Communicate?" – asked the leader.

"Yeah... The plans have changed." – said Arthur.

"Our top priority is securing this dungeon no matter what."

"And making sure that the dungeon masters survive as well." – said Arthur as he approached his bed and took out from underneath its heavy looking suitcase, which he dragged out.

The man put his hand on top of the suit case, causing a magical circle to suddenly appear above the gem which was located on the suit case, before moments later the magical circle itself split itself apart.

"!"

"Wait, you are using it?" – asked the leader of the Silver Talons, as Arthur started opening up the suitcase.

"Yeb." – replied Arthur.

"The situation so dire that I need to contact them."

"As much as it annoys me, there is no other way but to do that."

[The next day.]

"Okay.... You fuckers... I have some bad news and good news." – said the guild master Amelia Smith.

"Good news."

"We have obtained some information about foes."

"Bad news."

"We didn’t obtained enough."

"Turns out.... That the situation is far more dangerous than we had thought."

"And by now, many of you that had went into the monster infested forest may had realized that."

"Yeah... They are not acting like monsters." – said the dwarven party leader, Randolf.

"They were like soldiers here and there."

"Not only that, but look at my shield." – said Randolf as he shown the remains of his original shield.

"One shot from one of these ballista of theirs and my shield was at the breaking point."

"If I didn’t used my skills and got buffed, it could had ended up badly for me."

"Yes. Their power is formattable." – said the guild master.

"I’ve gathered all the people’s here opinions and info.... And all of it looked grim."

"Not only that, but both craftsman and that golem specializes guy we had brough here also gave us more bad news after inspecting the golems."

"So... We have ton of bad news and situation at our hand."

"Therefore, we need to come up with new approach to the situation."

"Right in this morning, I’ve requested additional assistance of the soldiers and adventurers."

"Once they arrive, we will start our operation on the forest."

"The enemies, the golem lack a recovery ability."

"Expect for one specific golem."

"The earth golem."

"These golems can heal themselves by absorbing the earth."

"However, the other golems do not posses any form of self-healing ability."

"Therefore, we will doing a attack and run tactic."

"We will be doing small skirmishes here and there, trying to destroy the enemy forces as much as possible, before then our forces would retreat."

"We will deplete the enemy numbers as much as possible."

"The reason why we are doing this that way is because of the danger."

"I will be honest with you all."

"We lack too much information and we already seen portion of their power."

"If we play it stupid."

"We die."

"And I ain’t planning on doing that."

"With that in mind, I hope you all will continue fallowing my orders."
