Love Letter From The Future-Chapter 341: Bread and Dagger (39)
Chapter 341: Bread and Dagger (39)
Senior Elsie’s visit seemed impulsive.
The smell of alcohol on her breath and her trembling hands made it pretty obvious. She would’ve been way more composed than this had she planned to ambush me.
Yet, even as she straddled me, she wasn’t making any progress.
The main reason was her complete lack of understanding of men’s clothing.
Just like men are often clueless about women’s underwear, the same can be said for women about men’s outfits.
For instance, didn’t I struggle a lot during my first time with Senior Delphine?
I mean, how was I even supposed to figure out how the undergarment wrapping her breasts was fastened, let alone how to take it off? In the end, I had opted to tear it off by force.
Of course, for a mage like Senior Elsie, that wasn’t really an option.
Sure, she could do it with mana enhanced strength, but it takes a lot of nerve and courage to rip someone’s clothes off.
Unless she pretended it was an accidental mishap in the heat of the moment, like I did, it was tricky to pull off.
And secondly, Senior Elsie was clearly nervous.
Actually, the earlier reasons applied more to taking off pants. Women who aren’t used to belts find them tricky to undo.
But shirts are a different story.
I mean, how hard can it be to unbutton a shirt?
Yet, the reason she couldn’t undress me at all was entirely due to her hands shaking so much.
When you’re tipsy, focusing on delicate tasks gets even harder. Plus, her hands were trembling so badly from nervousness that there was no way she could undress me.
Because of that, I quickly managed to regain my composure.
Not that all my embarrassment was gone, but I could at least step back and see the bigger picture.
First off, my hands were tied.
They were secured to the bedpost, but it was a pretty sloppy job.
No matter how much she bound me with magic-enhanced rope, the bed itself was made of wood. If I were to just break it apart entirely, she wouldn’t be able to do anything.
Of course, I didn’t really want to go to such extremes.
To be honest, the fumbling touch of her hands was somewhat endearing.
And the feeling of her squishy hips slightly moving around atop my waist felt pretty nice.
Having arrived at this rational conclusion, I decided to try and reason with Senior Elsie.
“Senior Elsie, let’s stop this.”
“I-It’s your fault...”
She, however, was far beyond the point of being persuaded.
Her unfocused eyes and tearful laments revealed a rapist’s typical self-justification.
Maybe it’s time I subdue her.
Senior Elsie was drunk, clearly not in her right mind. The fact that she thought she could restrain me with just mana ropes was proof enough.
And it’s not like she ambushed me from a distance—a mage coming right up close to a swordsman?
Unless there’s some kind of trap involved, there’s no way I’d lose.
Granted, Senior Elsie is a skilled mage. Even while being drunk, her seasoned skills wouldn’t just vanish.
She could probably take down an average swordsman.
The problem is, I’m not an average swordsman.
Feeling the sensation of her hips rubbing against me, I tried once more to persuade her
It was a soft and supple feeling.
Though she probably didn’t even realize that her hips were rubbing against me.
“Seriously, Senior Elsie... calm down for a second, okay? Why are you acting like this all of a sudden? And what do you mean it’s my fault?”
Maybe my calm voice brought back a bit of her sanity.
Her slightly teary eyes turned to look at me.
She looked like a woman with a wounded heart, which made me feel a bit uneasy.
After all, my relationship with Senior Elsie was quite complicated.
We weren’t just friends or colleagues, but we weren’t lovers either—stuck somewhere in between.
And as someone with no experience in dealing with women, situations like this always left my mind completely blank.
“You... touched her, didn’t you?”
The question was blunt, which made it even harder for me to grasp its meaning.
It seemed like Senior Elsie got caught up in her own narrative. I pretended to think for a moment before asking back.
“What are you talking about?”
“Obviously, the Saintess—that milk bag bitch!”
I swallowed hard and subtly avoided Senior Elsie’s gaze.
This was a bit unexpected.
Although that night’s events had fizzled out, what happened between the Saintess and me was meant to remain a secret. If that ever got out, no one would benefit from it.
Neither I nor the Saintess.
I’d have Senior Elsie’s ire to deal with, and the Saintess would be in even more trouble for nearly breaking her vow of chastity.
But unexpectedly, the Saintess seemed to have told everything that happened that night to Senior Elsie.
Did she trust her that much?
Or did she decide she’d gain more by doing so?
It was bad news for me either way..
I cleared my throat, hoping to steer the conversation elsewhere, but it was already too late.
Tears began to well up in Senior Elsie’s eyes.
“I didn’t even touch you! I didn’t try to jump you while drunk or anything! So why... W-Were you charmed by those cow-like tits too?!”
“Well, I mean...”
She hit the nail on the head.
Unable to lie, I ended up trailing off. Senior Elsie, as if even more frustrated, started pounding her fists against my chest.
Not that it even tickled.
She wasn’t hitting me seriously anyway and probably just wanted to express her frustration.
“I told you to be careful... Do you know how much that bitch—the Saintess—bragged?!”
“Bragged? About what?”
“It was a bet!”
At last, the underlying circumstances behind all this began to take shape in my mind.
Previously, when Senior Elsie tried to seduce me, she left me with a warning: “Watch out for the Saintess.”
The reason was simple.
She had made a bet with her..
From what I’m hearing today, it seems they decided to compete by seeing who could seduce me first.
What a pointless thing to do.
What were they planning to do if I ended up going after both of them?
Wait, maybe I’d be the one in trouble then.
Anyway, I, albeit roughly, managed to piece together the story leading up to now.
Now there was only one question left.
“Why are you making such pointless bets?”
“P-Pointless?!”
Despite my perfectly reasonable question, Senior Elsie showed no sign of calming down.
She even snapped at me.
“Y-You keep hanging out alone with that Delphine bitch...”
As she spoke, perhaps feeling resentful, Senior Elsie’s body trembled.
A single tear rolled down her cheek, while the sight of her bitten lips spoke volumes of her distress.
I let out a deep sigh.
What a mess, all because of those damned rumors.
Fundamentally, it was my fault.
Senior Elsie tried hard to emphasize her breast by supporting it with her arms. Not that they could possibly match the Saintess or Senior Delphine, though.
There was a fundamental gap between Senior Elsie and the other two.
Especially the Saintess—hers could almost be considered a divine miracle. Senior Elsie also had a fairly ample chest, but only by normal standards.
You can’t exactly compare the birds of the sky to the beasts of the land.
And more than anything, there were limits to Senior Elsie’s self-assertion.
“Here, look! I’ve got them too! This body of mine has gotten its fair share of confessions when you weren’t there... And yet, after I went out of my way to confess to you, you touched some other bitch? You could’ve just touched me instead!”
“Then maybe you should untie my hands first.”
I replied, sounding utterly exasperated.
Even if I wanted to touch her, she would first have to untie my hands, right?
Senior Elsie, who had been huffing while sitting on my waist, suddenly had an ‘oh’ moment and soon, with a snap, my hands were freed.
Relishing the freedom I hadn’t felt in a while, I repeatedly clenched and unclenched my hands.
Ironically, now that the situation had reached this point, it was Senior Elsie who seemed more nervous.
I heard her gulp.
Her body noticeably shrank back. Smirking wryly, I slowly lifted my upper body.
We ended up sitting face to face.
And since she still had her legs wrapped around my waist, we were incredibly close.
Her eyes, resembling blue sapphires, lowered slightly.
After a moment of hesitation, she cautiously spoke to me.
“Um, I had some drinks, and I haven’t even showered yet...”
“But you were trying to pounce on me?”
Her head drooped.

She fidgeted with her index fingers, looking like a puppy being scolded.
“I-I only did it because I was drunk! Do you know how much she mocked me to make me drink that much?!”
“Then I’ll make sure she won’t mock you anymore.”
And with that, I closed the distance between us even more.
To a tantalizing distance where our breaths blended together.
Senior Elsie’s body grew even more rigid. The closer I got, the more she seemed to shrink back.
“...So I just need to pounce on you, right?”
It was a question I tossed out like a final ultimatum.
Her face turned even redder as she began to awkwardly fidget. Regardless, my mind was already made up.
I was a bit annoyed.
About how the women around me had been acting lately.
Dropping by every night to mess with me—it was irritating, no matter how I looked at it.
Especially since Senior Elsie had visited me twice now; to teach her a lesson wouldn’t be odd.
At that crucial moment, Senior Elsie squeezed her eyes shut and chose to make a run for it.
“W-Well, maybe after I take a shower... Kyaaaa!”
But before she could finish, I was already leaning over her, our bodies pressing together.
Amidst the flickering shadows cast by the fire, the two figures overlapped.
