Love You Till the End-Chapter 988 - 987: Doing Laundry
After opening the door, the chair she had sat on still stood there, looking a bit out of place at first glance. She shrugged her shoulders, then lifted the chair and moved it back to its original position.
This was the first time she opened Shi Aoju’s dressing room. It was quite large, but men’s clothes are usually fewer than women’s, so compared to Qi Jingren’s wardrobe, his was half the size.
There were cabinets specifically for ties and pocketed bags for cufflinks.
Most of Shi Aoju’s suits were in black, gray, and white; she hadn’t even seen him wear the somewhat melancholy deep purple, so perhaps these suits were just kept at the bottom of the drawer! Or was it that Shi Aoju simply had too much money and nowhere to spend it?
Su Jiuyi shook her head, thought for a while, and decided to take out a few suits he usually wore, laying them flat on the table.
She had only seen clothes being ironed in dry cleaners and tailors, never having tried it herself. But isn’t there a saying that even if you haven’t eaten pork, you’ve seen a pig run? She figured she would learn by imitation.
She carefully laid the suit straight, then plugged in the iron, and after turning it on, she recalled the ironing process she had seen in the dry cleaners. She placed the iron on the suit and gently pushed it downward, releasing steam where the iron touched the fabric.
Seeing that Shi Aoju likely changed suits every day, after ironing a few sets of the clothes he recently wore, she went to the master bedroom to find the outfit from the previous day.
The masquerade suit was hanging there all alone on the clothing rack outside, it seemed the maid responsible for laundry hadn’t come to collect it yet.
She couldn’t wash suits, but she could handle ordinary shirts. She carefully took the shirt down and then went to the bathroom to find a basin for water.
Calculating the number of times she had been in his room, she realized she had visited the bathroom most frequently. The last incident, where he had an allergic reaction and fever, was still fresh in her mind. She remembered being frantic back then, thinking about how to reduce his fever, leaving the entire bathroom a mess.
However, it seemed that his bathroom really didn’t have anything like laundry detergent, which made sense, considering he’s someone from a wealthy family and a dashing CEO. How could things like laundry detergent possibly be kept in the bathroom?
After soaking and carefully scrubbing the shirt, she pondered whether to go to the laundry room to find some detergent.
The work here was divided, like Su Jiuyi’s duties mostly consisted of watering and trimming plants, cleaning the halls, and the like. Of course, there were also maids responsible for laundry, others for collecting clothes, and still others for washing dishes, etc.
She hadn’t dealt much with the laundry room, considering that laundry was usually handled by designated maids, who also took care of collecting the clothes of the other servants and bodyguards, which were then washed together.
But she couldn’t quite articulate why she needed the detergent, certainly not to say she was washing clothes for the boss, as that would probably lead to rumors spreading.
After hesitating for a few minutes, she dried her hands and went to the laundry room.
Fortunately, she ran into the maid who collected the clothes a few days ago and successfully got a bottle of detergent.
Kind people are always rewarded, like that day when Su Jiuyi encountered this maid in the corridor, alone, struggling to push a cart. Since she had just finished her own work and was bored, she helped her collect all the old clothes from the entire floor.
