Chapter 132: FUCK YEAH! SHE SAID YES!

"Arielle, I absolutely never wish you to live up to my expectations. You are more than the world to me. You don’t need to prove yourself anymore, sweetheart," Ronan said gently.

He added, "I choose you because I love you, not to live up to my expectations. And what did you say earlier? Married to another woman? No, no... I only want you. Only you, Arielle. I would never find another woman...."

Ronan could understand the girl’s concern. King Hugo Dellune had many concubines by his side. Maybe Arielle thought when she saw her father, in her mind, a king would have many wives.

She didn’t know that it was different with the kings of Northendel. They were always loyal to their life partner. They were very serious about their marriage vows.

Only the first king of Northendell had two wives, the rest had always been loyal to their spouses. Even though some of the ancestral kings got into arranged marriages, they were good husbands to their wives and didn’t get concubines.

Ronan himself did not know whether those kings and their wives loved each other or not after they were bound in arranged marriages, but there was no history that his ancestors had more than one wife except the first king who founded the Northendell Kingdom.

And when Ronan wanted Arielle as his wife, it meant Ronan was willing to bind himself to just one woman... and that was her. Only her.

"Never, Arielle. Because I only love you," whispered Ronan, hugging the girl tightly so that Arielle knew that his life was only for that girl.

Arielle started to sob. She returned the man’s hug. She was so emotional when she embraced him that his body that fell backward with Arielle on top of him.

"And I love you too. I really, really love you!" cried Arielle, pouring her heart out.

Ronan felt the girl’s worries slowly disappear. He stroked Arielle’s hair gently. She wiped her tears away, and their faces were now very close from each other.

With Arielle’s position on top of his body, the girl’s white hair dangled down to form a curtain that covered the two of them.

Ronan reached out his hand to brush the girl’s hair. He put a strand of Arielle’s hair behind her ear so that now the girl’s face, which was red from crying, could be seen more clearly.

"So, my love. I will ask you again. To my dearest Arielle Dellune of Nieverdell, will you marry me? And be my wife and queen for the rest of my life?" asked Ronan in a very sweet tone.

The man’s smile was very sincere, waiting for an answer from Arielle, who was still looking at him in awe.

Arielle covered her face briefly with her palms to try to calm down. She bit her lower lip nervously then nodded confidently.

"Yes, Ronan. I will marry you and always be with you until the end of life," she whispered back.

The man blinked a few times. He still couldn’t believe the answer Arielle gave. He knew that Arielle also loved him. Ronan saw how Arielle had been so hesitant just to give the answer. Ronan had thought that Arielle would ask him to give her some time to think. He didn’t expect the girl to give him her answer right away.

Ronan’s smile widened, "You... are you serious?"

Arielle nodded once again confidently.

"Hm-hm. I’m serious," she answered firmly.

Ronan covered his mouth. He almost screamed with joy. The man lifted Arielle’s body so that they both stood up straight. Arielle’s smaller body was easily lifted by the man.

"Wait here a moment."

"Eh?"

Arielle stood confused as the man told her to wait. Ronan ruffled his hair restlessly as he turned to head for the glass door. A cold wind blew as the man opened the door wide. Ronan rushed towards the balcony and then....

"FUCK YEAH!!! SHE SAID YES!!!!" Ronan shouted so loudly that it echoed throughout the palace compound.

The soldiers who were training in the Colosseum, the priests who worked in the Cathedral, even the servants wandering around the Whitethorn and Blackthorn palaces stopped their activities. They were all shocked to hear the screams just now. Everyone looked at each other with furrowed brows.

"Whose voice was that? Why does it sound familiar?" asked a knight who had stopped swinging his sword.

Kael furrowed his brows in confusion. The scream just now sounded like the voice of the king. But it seemed very unlikely because he knew that his king was the calmest and coldest person. There was no way that man would do such a ridiculous thing, screaming like a madman.

"Perhaps it was just the sound of a knight screaming and coincidentally being in a place that echoed. I hope the king doesn’t punish that man," said Kael, who had just finished cleaning his sword.

Elsewhere, William, who was having lunch, spat out his drink. He was startled by the mad man’s echoing voice. His clothes were stained with the wine he spat out. With a deep sense of anger, he left his room to leave the palace to punish the madman before the king punished him later.

"Just see if I ever find you, you’ll die by my hands for getting my best clothes stained with wine!" he grumbled.

However, what a shame. No matter how fast William ran into the palace gardens to check all the buildings around, he found no one. Everything was silent again, making the man curse to himself. He was late, the madman had gone into hiding, William thought.

Ronan gasped slightly after letting out his bubbling heart. He turned and walked quickly towards Arielle. The man’s wide smile automatically made Arielle smile too.

Within seconds, Arielle’s body was lifted and Ronan hugged her tightly. He spun with Arielle so that the girl’s legs floated. Arielle, who was surprised, laughed at the sensation.

The rabbits around them didn’t know what was going on, but seeing Arielle laugh, their ears perked up instantly. And they also jumped around Ronan’s body. Even Riel, who was asleep, was awakened by the laughter of Arielle and Ronan that filled the entire corner of the room. Not wanting to be left behind, Riel came out of the basket and jumped on Ronan’s feet.

"Oh, Arielle! You make me so happy!" cried Ronan without stopping to turn.

"Ronan! Stop it!" Arielle shouted while hugging the man’s neck tightly, asking Ronan to stop spinning.

Ronan stopped his euphoric explosion and brought Arielle to lie down on the bed. The girl gasped, feeling dizzy. The man’s laughter still remained.

"I’m dizzy," said Arielle making Ronan laugh, amused.

He showered many kisses on Arielle’s blushing cheeks.

"Can I call you my wife?"

Arielle shook her head slowly, "But we’re not yet married," she answered.

"We’ll discuss our wedding tomorrow with Priest Elis and William. I want to do everything right." The man’s smile was very wide, making Arielle feel very happy to see the man’s happiness. She grabbed Ronan’s face and touched the scar on the man’s face.

"I can’t wait to call you my wife," said Ronan, making Arielle laugh full of joy.

"You are very strange. You seem very enthusiastic about it."

"About what? Calling you my wife? Of course, I’m excited! That means you’re all mine!"

Arielle couldn’t help but feel awestruck. She was not good with words. She didn’t even know how to repay the man’s kindness. Ronan did say that she didn’t need to live up to all kinds of expectations, but Arielle promised to learn even harder to become a woman who truly deserved to stand side by side with a king.

Arielle didn’t want to just receive a lot of love from the man. She also wanted to give. Not just words, Arielle would try hard to love the man with all her heart and be the woman he deserved.

"What are you thinking, my love? Your eyes seem to be sparkling." Ronan smiled at her.

Arielle smirked. The girl nodded slowly. "Nothing on my mind. I just feel so happy that I love you."

For the umpteenth time, in a row, Ronan felt endless happiness. Every time he heard her say she loved him, his heart felt like burst with so much joy.

"I love you too. I really, really love you," he replied.
