Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 382: How To Hide From Lazarus
Arielle put the rabbit on the man’s lap, then left the room in a hurry. Ronan tried to move Riel to another place, but he was surprised to find Riel’s body was much heavier from the last time he carried it.
Ronan tilted his head at the rabbit suspiciously.
"Who are you?" he asked in confusion.
Ronan recognized the collar he had deliberately given to the rabbit as a sign of Arielle’s possession. However, he didn’t recognize the current Riel. Back then, little Riel was smaller than the palm of his hand, but now Ronan had to hold it with both hands so that it didn’t fall.
Ronan put Riel down on his desk. His arms crossed over his chest, trying to intimidate the little animal.
"Hmm?" Ronan looked at Riel intently. He tilted his head, and the little animal also tilted its head in the same direction.
They had the same eye colour, but Ronan’s eyes were much fiercer. Meanwhile, Riel’s eyes reminded him of Arielle’s sparkling eyes that often made his heart flutter.
When Ronan on a gaze battle with Riel, the door swung open. Arielle returned with breathless gasps. She closed the door to Ronan’s room hastily. Then, Arielle pushed the man’s chair away and hid under the desk.
Ronan frowned at his girl’s strange behavior. He even tried to pull her out. However, Arielle quickly brushed his hand away and put her index finger to her lips, asking Ronan to keep his mouth shut.
"What is it?"
"Sssssh!"
Ronan was about to ask again before the door opened violently, revealing Lazarus, who was also gasping for air. Ronan automatically pushed his chair back and shoved Arielle’s head under the desk.
"What is it?" Ronan asked sharply.
"Have you seen Princess Arielle?" he asked between his breathless gasps.
Arielle gripped Ronan’s trousers tightly. Ronan glanced down briefly and Arielle shook her head, asking him not to reveal her whereabouts.
"No."
"That’s strange. I think I saw her shadow enter this room. Or maybe to the next room?" Lazarus muttered, looking back. However, he only found an empty hallway.
Ronan clicked his tongue in annoyance because Lazarus came uninvited. Lazarus took a bottle of whiskey from Ronan’s cupboard and poured it for himself. Sensing Lazarus getting too close and possibly seeing Arielle under his desk, Ronan spread his legs around the girl with his shadow.
Arielle ducked down, not wanting Lazarus to find her.
"What have you done now?" Ronan asked, making Lazarus let out a long sigh.
"I did nothing! I was just chasing after her to ask a few things," Lazarus replied, trying to defend himself.
"You’re chasing after Arielle? For what business?"
"Oh, don’t get me wrong. I didn’t chase after her to confess my feelings. I just wanted to ask when Aimee will visit the palace again."
Ronan shook his head in disbelief. "What is wrong with you? You can ask Kael directly."
"That’s the problem, my beloved friend, Kael, doesn’t want me to meet Aimee."
"Lazarus, don’t you think it’s possible that Aimee doesn’t want to meet you?"
Lazarus waved his hand casually.
"Impossible. I already treated her like my own little sister," he replied, as if he didn’t feel guilty after what he had done to Aimee in the past.
"As far as I remember, you never behaved like an older brother."
"Gah! I just wanted to know how Aimee is."
Ronan knew the man’s intentions well. Lazarus didn’t just want to know how Aimee was. He had another purpose. It was to tease the fat Aimee like ten years ago. That man would not change in one night.
"Then, why Arielle?"
Lazarus put on a sad face, and Ronan wouldn’t be deceived by the man’s scheme.
"Well, in this world, I trust Princess Arielle the most. She is the most sincere person I have ever met. I’m sure if I show my sincerity, then Princess Arielle will help me reunite with Aimee. Princess Arielle can definitely sense my sincere intentions."
Arielle, who listened to their conversation, felt guilty. She had been trusted by the man, but she avoided him. Arielle was about to come out to apologize to Lazarus, but Ronan held her head down to stay under the desk.
Ronan stroked Arielle’s head when he thought he pressed her head too hard.
Lazarus stood up. "I have to go back to find Princess Arielle."
"Tell him to meet me after that."
"Yeah... well, alright. Anyway, what are you doing with your hands down there? Are you masturbating while looking at a rabbit?" Lazarus pointed at Riel, who was sitting quietly on the man’s desk while Ronan’s hand was still under the desk.
Ronan sharpened his gaze, giving Lazarus a death glare. "Yes, do you want to see it?" he asked with a stern expression.
"Eww, that’s disgusting, Man! I will report this disgusting behavior of yours to Princess Arielle!" Lazarus exclaimed as he ran out of Ronan’s office.
Arielle was able to breathe again. Ronan pushed his chair back to make room for the girl to come out.
However, the door opened again. Ronan hurriedly pulled his chair back to hold Arielle from coming out.
"Why didn’t I think of this before?" Lazarus asked frantically.
"What else?"
"Do you know when Aimee will arrive? I knew you were the one who hired her, so all the decisions must go through you, right? When are you going to ask Aimee to start work?" Lazarus asked.
Meanwhile, Arielle hugged Ronan’s legs in surprise, and she sighed in relief that Lazarus still didn’t know that she hid under Ronan’s desk.
"I have left everything to Arielle. Aimee will be her personal assistant, so it’s only natural that Arielle decides when Aimee will start working."
"Oh, shit. I’m just wasting my time here. I have to find Princess Arielle immediately."
Lazarus turned around, then stopped in his tracks.
"Wait a minute." He turned around while squinting his eyes at Ronan, who seemed unaffected by his appraising gaze. "You’re not hiding her, right?" Lazarus asked suspiciously.
"Is there a place to hide her in this room?" Ronan asked, getting annoyed by Lazarus’ presence. Lazarus checked the entire room once more and snapped his hands.
"Oh, you’re right. There is no place to hide here," he replied. "But maybe under your desk?"
