After gathering a sack full of fruit and three hunted animals, Arielle tied them up with a rope brought by Otis. The food would be used by Abigail while waiting for her spawn period later. Otis had been serving Abigail as the mate of Maxieno’s brother for ten years.

After Xavier, Maxieno’s brother was beheaded by Ronan, Abigail underwent a pregnancy alone in a cave far enough from the center of the territory of the dragon clan. The pregnant female dragons had a high level of sensitivity so that they would usually be alone and stay away from the crowd.

They would live alone in a cave or forest, only accompanied by the males to provide food. Because Xavier was not around, Maxieno was the one who fulfilled all of Abigail’s needs while she was pregnant.

However, because of the man’s high pride, who didn’t want to make his potential mate jealous, even though he hadn’t met his mate, Maxieno ordered Otis to replace him for the last ten years.

Dragon eggs were something that was highly guarded by the dragon clan because they were the successor of the dragon clan and the sign that the dragon would continue to exist.

Thus, the female dragons would keep the eggs in their stomach for a long period of time up to many years. Beside the fact that the eggs needed heat to incubate, it was a protective attitude for the mother to her future offsprings.

Abigail planned to protect her eggs in her stomach until she felt they would hatch, considering that she couldn’t incubate the eggs alone without her mate.

"Is this all enough?" Arielle asked while passing the sack containing Abigail’s food supplies onto Luffy’s back.

"Yes, this is more than enough," the woman replied, looking at the three sacks of food.

"Then, I’ll escort you back. Arielle, you can go back to your hut to rest," Otis said as he cleaned his hands and put back his belt, which had a lot of useful equipment.

Arielle hesitated a little because she also wanted to accompany Abigail back to her cave. Besides, Arielle also wanted to know how the woman lived for the past ten years all alone. However, it was already night. Her presence might slow their journey considering Otis said the cave where Abigail was staying was still very far away.

"Does this mean I will never see you again?" Arielle asked Abigail.

Abigail smiled. She stretched out her hand, which Arielle accepted right away. Those two women held hands.

"I don’t know, Arielle. But, I will not leave my cave until the supply of food runs out. Besides, my children will be out in the near future, so I can’t go wandering around anymore. It might take days to weeks to months..."

Otis told Arielle to get some rest because tomorrow they had to practice again. The girl waved at Abigail and turned to leave the forest where they were hunting for food.

Arielle also brought a sack containing fruit. She refused to accept the hunted animals because she could not bear it to eat them and decided to give it all to Abigail.

Arielle put the fruits in the storage chest. She took her clothes and walked towards the river to clean herself. Even though it was already night, Arielle could still see clearly because of the light from the fireflies that surrounded her. There were also white bell-shaped flowers that would light up at night.

After feeling she was clean and fresh, Arielle returned to her hut and laid on her bed while calling Ronan through the telepathy. Ronan, who had been waiting for a long time, answered Arielle’s call right away.

(What are you doing today, sweetheart?) Ronan’s voice rang in Arielle’s head.
