Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 750: Arielle Getting Sad By The Situation
Kael conveyed everything that had happened without leaving anything behind or exaggerating it. He told Ronan the reason they had gone outside the naval base with only two guards.
They went out to buy Aimee’s birthday present, but the only things they could save were the shoes that Kael had bought. The canvas, as well as the painting supplies that Arielle had bought fell and was trampled during the commotion earlier.
Ronan wrote a declaration right away. He then sent several people to go back to see the situation in the port city. He also ordered people to investigate the old woman who said that Arielle could bring back the dead.
The villagers of Birwick had vowed to keep this secret forever. He had to find out why the information they were trying to bury was revealed so easily.
Ronan then sent a letter to the Duke who visited him earlier. He gave the man time to resolve the commotion that was happening immediately. If until tomorrow he still heard that someone was trying to find Arielle, then he would send Palace Knights to teach those people a lesson.
After that, Ronan returned to his room and wrote down something that would become a royal order. In the capital, after he made a declaration like this, news of Arielle being able to revive the dead was completely forgotten.
Besides that, Arielle’s contribution to the kingdom was great, so people focus on other things that the girl had done.
Ronan then took out the royal seal and gave it to Kael to announce in the port city.
The port city was a place where many people besides Northendell’s citizens lived to have a trade with different merchants. Ronan didn’t want to let these rumors spread to other kingdoms. Thus, he had to shut their mouths immediately.
After seeing Kael leave, along with the handwritten declaration from him, Ronan let out a long sigh. He rested his body on the back of the chair. This was his fault. Ronan had only taken his eyes off Arielle for a few minutes, and this mess had already happened.
Ronan just hoped his wife was fine. Arielle was a sensitive person. Perhaps his wife would be frightened of people after this.
Ronan got up from his chair to enter their room. Arielle had woken up. The girl was sitting on a chair, looking at the sea.
"Are you awake?" Ronan asked gently while touching Arielle’s shoulders from behind.
He tilted his body so he could see Arielle’s face. How surprised it was for him to find his wife’s face wet with tears.
"Arielle, what happened? Were you injured during the commotion?"
Ronan had to kneel on the floor so he could align his face with Arielle’s. With his big, rough hands, he wiped away his wife’s tears. Seeing Arielle cry was the most unpleasant thing. This was their vacation. He didn’t want to leave bad memories on her.
"What’s wrong, Arielle?" Tell me... are you still scared? It’s okay, I’m already here. You will never be hurt again..."
Arielle shook her head. She touched Ronan’s hand to stop wiping her tears. Her cheeks were red as her eyes got a bit puffy.
"No, not that. I don’t feel scared. I just feel sad, Ronan."
"Sad? What makes you sad, Sweetheart? Tell me so that I can immediately catch the person who made you sad."
Arielle shook her head again. That wasn’t what she meant. She wasn’t sad because of things like that.
"I want to be hugged for a moment," said Arielle, embracing Ronan’s shoulders tightly.
The girl buried her face in his husband’s shoulder and started crying again. Ronan lifted Arielle’s body easily, then placed her on his lap. He chose to be quiet and let Arielle calm herself down first. All he could do was to stroke her small back.
"Ronan, I want to take action even faster. I don’t want to waste time," said Arielle.
They had much to do. Vacation... it would be fun. However, the responsibility weighed on her back felt much greater. She really wanted to see how wide the ocean was. At least even though she was still on the outskirts, she could already guess how wide the ocean was.
"People out there are gambling with death. They don’t know whether in the future they can survive or not. More and more people had hypothermia and failed to open their flow of mana in their bodies. Northendell will get colder if I don’t move and quickly take action."
Arielle let go of her husband’s embrace then stood up. She saw the sea ahead. She recalled how desperate those people were when they asked for her help. She couldn’t revive someone’s life. What happened at Birwick was out of her control.
However, Arielle could provide a more decent life for them. They had lost many of their family members and she could feel the desperation in their every plea. If not Arielle, who else could help them? 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
"Then, what are you going to do? I’ve sent out a declaration and we’re just waiting for the commotion in town to die down. Tomorrow we will be on vacation on the ship all day, accompanying Irene before that young girl enters the academy."
"Ronan, if I wanted us to return to the palace first, would that disappoint you?" asked Arielle without looking directly at her husband.
Ronan rested his feet on the table and thought.
"Hm... I’ll consider it if you give me a well-thought-out plan. Since we are already far away from the palace and in just for a few hours, we can board the ship according to your wishes. I won’t be disappointed. I just feel it’s a bit unfortunate that we’ve come this far."
"Sorry. I know we still have to wait another two months for Princess Zohra’s invitation letter before we can go to Thebis. But I wanted to gather more information now. I want to try to contact Maxieno or Otis again."
"You know how to do it?"
