Lucky Spin: Godly Programming-Chapter 145 - 147: No More Mercy 4
Looking at the kid who was clutching their necks and lifting them off the ground, they struggled desperately, kicking and clawing at the air, but nothing changed.
They could not break free from those small plain hands. The invisible force wrapped around their throats holding them tighter than iron.
Just as they were about to pass out, loud sirens echoed from outside. Hearing the sirens and knowing what it was their eyes brightened up.
"This is the police! We know you’re inside! Step out slowly with your hands where we can see them!" a middle-aged man shouted through a megaphone.
The two criminals heard it and, despite knowing arrest meant eventual death as well, a spark of hope still lit up in their eyes.
Even getting caught by the police was better than dying in the hands of this monster.
"Hmm, they are pretty fast hah," Jeff mumbled as he then focused his gaze to the two.
Before making his move, he had already made a call, cause he needed someone to clean up after the mess, and the police were the most convenient choice.
At the very least, he wanted these bodies to be buried properly rather than left to rot in an abandoned place like this.
"Don’t be too happy. Even if the police arrive now, the situation will not change. Become a good people in your next life, that is if the golden rule allows the two of you to reincarnate," he said.
He tightened his grip for a moment, then snapped their necks, killing them in cold blood. Their bodies dropped lifelessly to the floor.
Outside, the tension seemed to grow tenser when no reply came.
"Chief, no response from the inside. Do we initiate a breach?" one of the officers asked after receiving a report from a sniper hidden in the trees.
"If that’s the case let’s move, those criminals might be trying to escape now, and if we lose this chance, we might never see them again," Michael said in a frustrated tone.
Back at the police station, they had been working nonstop to track the escaped rapist, but when the city’s police contacted them about the escaped convicts, they decided to postpone the search for the rapist and assist instead.
The threat level of the convicts was far higher, so everyone shifted their focus and pushed themselves to follow every lead they could uncover.
In the middle of that chaos, another report suddenly arrived. After receiving an anonymous tip that one of the escaped criminals was actually hiding within his own jurisdiction, Michael acted at once.
He gathered his team without hesitation, knowing that ignoring even a small lead could ruin the entire operation.
As they moved in and searched every corner of the factory, they realized there was no immediate danger or rather there was nothing in here at all.
The place was eerily quiet, the kind of silence that made the hair on their arms rise. But when they noticed a faint light at the center of the building, they quickly surrounded it.
"Police, hands up and get on your—" Michael stopped mid-sentence the moment he saw what lay inside the illuminated area.
The bodies were scattered across the floor, all of them were devoid of life.
"What happened here..." Michael muttered as he stepped deeper into the scene.
His jaw hung slightly open as he took in the sight. Those dangerous criminals were actually handled by someone, and they seemed to have died without putting much a fight.
One of the officers hurried over, carrying something carefully in both hands. He stopped in front of Michael and opened his palm.
"Chief, you need to see this," the officer said.
Inside his hand was an object that made Michael swallow hard, clearly he was unable to hide his shock.
Looking at the bullet that is flattened so hard that it turned into a paper his face was serious as he took it in his hands and instructed.
"Clean up the mess, I’m just going to take a call for a moment,"
He then walk a bit of a distance took out his phone and dialed a number.
"Isn’t this a surprise, what seems to be the problem for you to initiate a call?" a carefree voice replied the moment the line connected.
"Well there is a small problem in my turf that needs your help," Michael said with a long heavy sigh.
"Oh what is it," the man answered, ending his words with a sleepy yawn.
"There seems to be a martial artist on the loose here," Michael said, his tone suddenly becomes serious.
From the evidence scattered around him, he could not imagine any other explanation.
Every bullet they found was flattened beyond recognition, crushed in a way that did not match any weapon or armor he knew.
He had seen something like this once and that is many years ago. That memory alone made his skin crawl.
It reminded him how dangerous such individuals could be, and it helped him understand just how big of a problem this really was.
The person on the other side was quiet for a moment as he let out a small chuckle.
"A martial artist you say? How can you be so sure that it’s a martial artist and not just some thugs learning one move or two," the man asked.
Michael just explained the situation while the man listened.
"These warriors are always a headache, they really are not afraid of the law," the man replied after hearing the explanation.
"I will send someone to handle it, since this kind of job is already beyond your scope. Anything you want to add?" he asked.
From his tone alone, it was clear that he viewed a person capable of bending bullets as nothing more than an inconvenience.
To him, someone who could flatten bullets with sheer force was still just a regular issue, not a real threat.
"There’s nothing more," Michael answered.
Michael nodded at the man’s words, and the call ended immediately afterward.
He lowered the phone and looked around as the officers began carrying the dead bodies out of the factory.
Seeing the damage and the flattened bullets, with the corpses clean unnatural wounds, he could not help but wonder who the person was that caused all of this.
