Lust System: Monster girl Harem-Chapter 294 - 295 Royal Guards
Chapter 294: Chapter 295 Royal Guards
"Did you use Mana to boost your speed?"
"No, that was just my normal speed; I don’t use Mana when sparring," Ethan spoke as he adjusted his sword. freewёbnoνel.com
The rest of the guards were suddenly invested in their fight; at first, they all thought Ethan was a classic mage, good with long-range spells and bad at close combat, but they were far from correct.
With the speed he displayed just now, he would qualify as a Royal guard coupled with the fact that he is a good mage, but Ethan would never accept the job.
The black-haired guard took a stance; now that she knew how fast Ethan was, she was prepared for it.
Ethan smirked as he adjusted his grip on the sword. The black-haired guard no longer looked as confident as before. Now that she had seen his speed, she was taking him seriously.
"Alright, let’s go again," she said, raising her sword.
Ethan dashed forward, but this time, he swung his sword mid-step.
The guard barely blocked in time, her arms shaking slightly from the impact.
She quickly countered with a slash aimed at his shoulder, but Ethan dodged effortlessly, stepping to the side and moving backward a little.
"You’re not bad," she admitted, her grin returning, "Why did you hide your speed, were you trying to catch me by surprise"
Ethan didn’t respond. He stepped in again, feinted left, and then struck from the right.
She reacted fast, blocking his attack, but he used the force of her parry to spin and tap her side with his blade and Jump backward.
"That’s one point for me," Ethan said, smirking.
The guard frowned, then nodded. "Alright. Let’s see if you can do that again"
They reset their stances, and this time, she attacked first, she wouldn’t give him the luxury of attacking without defending.
Her sword slashed down fast, but Ethan sidestepped and aimed for her leg. She barely blocked in time, but Ethan used the opening to tap her wrist with his sword.
"Two points," Ethan said.
He was controlling the sword effortlessly; in his hands, the sword felt like a stick, making him wonder how heavy his sword scale breaker was.
The rest of the guards murmured among themselves. Some of them chuckled. They had underestimated him, or she had underestimated him.
The black-haired guard took a deep breath and tightened her stance. She wasn’t going to let him win so easily.
She lunged forward, her blade moving with speed and precision. Ethan blocked, but her strength pushed him back a little but he wasn’t fazed. She followed up with a quick strike to his side, which Ethan tried to block but it was a faint as she tapped his hand.
"Two to one," she said, breathing heavily.
Ethan smiled. "Not bad."
(You could have blocked that easily, are you letting her win)
’I don’t want it to be one-sided, I’m going to let her get to two points before winning’
The both of them clashed again, their swords ringing in the air as the rest of the guards watched closely.
The guard tried to push Ethan back with her strength, but he held firm as both of them jumped backward, creating space between themselves; Ethan was the first to lunge forward.
He wanted her to get the point, but he had to make it seem like he tried his best as he swung his sword; the guard parried it quite easily, pushing Ethan to the side in the process.
Seeing the opening, she lunged forward, her sword coated with Mana as she swung it towards him, tapping Ethan before he could regain his balance.
"Two points for me" She spoke as she cracked her neck and reset her stance.
’I’m going to finish this with a single strike’ Ethan muttered.
The guard charged in against closing the distance but this time Ethan moved faster, dodging her strike with ease.
He saw an opening and lunged forward, tapping her chest lightly with the tip of his sword.
"Three points," Ethan said.
The guard stared at him, then sighed and lowered her sword. She wanted to speak but didn’t know what to say.
The other guards clapped clearly impressed by Ethan. The blonde-haired guard, the one Ethan had his eye on, smiled at him as she clapped.
Ethan then handed the sword to one of the guards.
"Are you leaving?"
"Yes, I’d like to rest; I’m pretty tired," Ethan replied, and the guards all nodded their heads as he walked away.
(You can beat a Royal guard, meaning if Vala comes into the kingdom, she’s going to decimate all the Royal Guards)
’There is a difference between sparring and an actual fight, when it comes down to actual fighting it’ll be difficult since magic would be allowed and all the Royal Guards are excellent mages’
(You’re also a good mage, even though your Mana stats are a little on the low side)
’Not to talk of the Queen, the Queen is more powerful than her Royal Guards, and besides Vala attacking the capital would be like her committing suicide’
(As strong as she is, she isn’t the one you are supposed to take down, how powerful do you think your villain is supposed to be)
’My villain, I’m not a superhero that has a villain, and I don’t want to think that far ahead’
Ethan walked inside the palace heading to Anna’s room; he pushed the door open to find Anna sleeping peacefully on the bed; she was fully clothed, and from how she slept, Ethan knew she was tired.
Her legs were on the ground while the rest of her body was on the bed; she was on her back with her hands spread on the bed.
The maid at the door walked in after Ethan to find Anna in this sleeping position and wanted to wake her but Ethan stopped her.
"She’s going to wake up even more tired?" The maid explained.
"Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it, also can you get me something to drink, I don’t want alcohol"
