Lustful Demon King: Summoned by the Demon Goddesses!-Chapter 180: Spying on the Heroes!
Jax stood quietly at the edge of the plaza for several seconds, his brown human eyes fixed on the distant fortress built into the mountainside.
From this far away it looked like nothing more than a massive military complex.
But Jax could clearly feel the four distinct signatures pulsing from within the mountain fortress like distant beacons.
Killian, Alicia, Lizzy and Touka.
Jax’s lips curved faintly.
"So," he murmured to himself quietly, "this is where you’ve been staying huh,"
The plaza around him bustled with life, humans passing by without giving the tall traveler a second glance.
Jax took one final look toward the towering cathedral before turning and walking toward the inner district, using magic to make people ignore him moving through potentially restricted zones.
The deeper he moved into the capital, the heavier the divine influence became. Golden runes glowed faintly along the streets. Holy wards shimmered across rooftops.
Church knights patrolled in tightly organized formations.
The fortress housing the heroes was clearly one of the most protected locations in the entire kingdom. Which made infiltrating it more entertaining.
Soon, Jax arrived at the Fortress of the Heroes
The massive complex was carved directly into the side of a mountain overlooking the capital. White stone walls reinforced with divine enchantments surrounded the outer perimeter. Watchtowers lined the battlements.
Dozens of elite paladins guarded the main gate.
Even from outside, Jax could sense multiple layers of holy barriers woven across the entire structure.
Ordinary demons would be incinerated the moment they approached.
Jax simply walked past the outer patrol using his magic. Even the Divine Detection wards registered Jax as nothing but a regular human.
Once he reached a quiet section of the outer perimeter, he stepped into the shadow of a stone tower, reality bent again.
His body faded into invisibility and a second later he simply walked through the fortress wall.
The holy barrier rippled slightly as he passed through it, but his magic suppressed the disturbance before it could trigger an alarm.
Inside, the complex was enormous, with various training fields, weapon halls, living quarters and church offices.
The place was essentially a combined military academy and divine stronghold and at its center was a massive open training arena.
Jax moved silently through the corridors until he reached a wide stone balcony overlooking the arena floor below.
Then he stopped as he spotted the remaining heroes.
The arena floor was massive, built from reinforced white stone etched with holy runes designed to absorb powerful magic.
Four figures stood in the center, Killian, Alicia, Lizzy and Touka.
Just sensing their auras, Jax could tell they were slightly stronger than when he last fought them and captured Alexi.
Killian stood at the center of the formation, golden hair shining under the sunlight pouring through the open ceiling of the arena. His radiant sword was already drawn, glowing with divine power.
Across from him, Touka moved like a storm.
Her blade blurred through the air as she launched a rapid series of strikes toward him.
Steel clashed against holy energy.
BOOM!
A shockwave rippled across the arena as Killian parried her final strike.
"Faster," Killian said firmly.
Touka smirked slightly.
"You’ve gotten better."
"So have you."
Alicia stood several meters away with her bow drawn, firing arrow after arrow toward both of them.
Each arrow shimmered with magical energy.
Killian deflected one with his sword.
Touka sliced another out of the air.
The final arrow curved mid-flight and exploded against the arena barrier behind them.
Lizzy stood near the edge of the field, hands glowing with golden light as she maintained multiple support spells.
"Focus," she said calmly.
"Your coordination still isn’t perfect."
Jax watched silently from the balcony.
Their teamwork had improved considerably.
But what interested him more was their conversation.
Touka wiped sweat from her forehead.
"We’re getting closer."
Killian lowered his sword slightly.
"Not close enough."
Alicia relaxed her bow and walked toward them.
"We’ve improved a lot over the past weeks again."
Killian shook his head.
"Not enough."
His expression darkened slightly.
"We’re still not strong enough to defeat him."
The arena grew quiet.
Everyone knew exactly who he meant.
Touka crossed her arms.
"That bastard..."
Her voice carried genuine hatred.
"He humiliated us."
Alicia sighed softly.
"And took Alexi and Natasha."
Killian’s grip tightened around his sword.
"We’ll save them."
Lizzy stepped forward gently.
"Yes."
Her golden eyes softened as she looked at him.
"We will."
Killian frowned slightly.
"You sound very confident."
Lizzy smiled.
"Because I believe in you."
She placed a hand lightly on his arm.
"Natasha doesn’t truly love him."
Touka glanced at her.
"You think she was forced?"
Lizzy nodded firmly.
"It’s obvious."
Her voice grew slightly colder.
"That Demon King must have used some kind of mind control magic."
Alicia looked uncertain.
"...Maybe."
Lizzy continued confidently.
"Natasha would never betray us willingly."
Killian’s expression softened slightly.
"She’s family."
Lizzy squeezed his arm reassuringly.
"And Alexi was always stubborn."
Touka sighed.
"They’re probably being manipulated."
Alicia looked toward the sky above the arena.
"When we defeat him..."
Her voice trailed off slightly.
"...we’ll bring them home."
Killian nodded slowly.
"We’ll save them."
Jax leaned casually against the balcony railing, listening to the entire conversation.
His expression remained completely calm. So this was the narrative they had convinced themselves of.
Brainwashing and Mind Control.
It was easier for them to believe that than accept the truth. That Alexi and Natasha had simply chosen a different side after being convinced by his cock.
Killian lifted his sword again.
"Enough talking."
Divine energy flared around him.
"We train until sunset."
Touka grinned.
"Finally."
Alicia raised her bow again.
Lizzy stepped back to prepare her support magic.
Jax watched as the training resumed.
The heroes moved with impressive speed and coordination.
Their strength had grown significantly since the last time he fought them.
But even so, he could already see the gap between them. A vast, insurmountable gap.
After several more minutes of observation, Jax pushed himself away from the railing.
He had seen enough. Without a sound, the invisible Demon King turned and walked away from the balcony.
