Madam, Please Behave-Chapter 249: A Showdown with the Little Brother-in-Law
An Yuanyao looked at her younger brother's cocky demeanor and immediately put on the authoritative stance of an older sister. Scolding him once didn’t feel like enough, so she stepped forward and gave him a couple of smacks.
This only made An Qianxun even more upset.
Judging by the situation… his sister had been utterly deceived! She was even starting to take this man’s side against him!
Burning with rage, An Qianxun had barely been seated for a few seconds before he shot up just like Liu Changqing had earlier. He glared at the man in front of him with fury.
“I don’t know what kind of tricks you used to fool my sister, but I’m telling you right now—those underhanded schemes won’t work on me!”
“……”
Liu Changqing was momentarily speechless. He sensed that this young man in front of him wasn’t exactly… normal.
Did he have some sort of persecution complex?
All I did was greet him politely, and somehow, in his mind, I’ve already turned into some smooth-talking scumbag?
Liu Changqing didn’t understand at all, but since this was his future brother-in-law, he held back the urge to snap back and instead maintained a polite smile.
“I think you’ve misunderstood me. I’ve never deceived her.”
“Cut the crap. You don’t have much money, you’re raising two kids, and your looks… are just average at best. Why would my sister ever be interested in someone like you?”
“An Qianxun! That’s too much!”
Hearing her brother insult Liu Changqing like that, An Yuanyao’s anger flared. She immediately stepped to Liu Changqing’s side and faced her brother with a warning glare.
Seeing this, An Qianxun’s mind blanked for a moment. He completely forgot about the things his father had instructed him to do before coming here.
Instead, memories from the past started flooding back.
Back then, his sister was pure, beautiful, and kind-hearted. She was not only an excellent student but also treated people with warmth. Even though she would tease him from time to time, she always shared the best things with him.
As a kid, An Qianxun had once dreamed of marrying his sister. But as he grew older, he understood that was just a childish joke.
So he changed his wish—to protect his sister.
When Li Chongming had done that to her, An Qianxun had found out and, without telling their father, gathered a group of guys to ambush him outside his company.
But that bastard had been too cunning and had slipped away through the back door. After that, An Qianxun never got another chance to catch him.
Some time later, before he could track the guy down again, he was dragged back home by his father.
Once home, An Qianxun confronted his father.
Even though his sister had insisted on marrying Li Chongming and had cut ties with the family, she was still part of it. After what had happened to her, he couldn’t understand why their father did absolutely nothing.
Not even a shred of punishment for Li Chongming. It was as if their father had chosen to turn a blind eye.
An Qianxun couldn’t understand it, but after being grounded, all he could do was stew in frustration. Thankfully, his wife had helped calm him down.
Then, not long after, news of his sister’s divorce reached him.
It should have been a good thing, but…
Looking at Liu Changqing’s face—although the man’s expression was calm—for some reason, in An Qianxun’s eyes, his smug face seemed to be saying:
Yeah, I’m a scumbag. Yeah, I tricked her. So what? It’s not like she listens to you anymore.
Just thinking about it sent An Qianxun’s temper soaring. His fists clenched tightly, and his mind started imagining things.
Any man who could get involved with Li Wanran couldn’t possibly be a decent person.
The thought of Liu Changqing taking advantage of his sister’s vulnerability, relentlessly pestering her until she gave in, made An Qianxun want to punch him square in the face.
Beat the crap out of this thick-browed, big-eyed guy!
An Qianxun was naturally hot-tempered. Although life had tempered him somewhat, when it came to his sister, he still couldn’t control himself.
He suddenly shouted—

“Let’s see how you like this, you bastard!”
With that, he yanked his sister aside and swung a fist straight at Liu Changqing’s face.
The sudden movement nearly sent An Yuanyao stumbling. She barely managed to steady herself before panic surged through her. She spun around, trying to stop the fight.
“Don’t fight—”
But before she could finish her sentence, she froze.
Her eyes widened in shock as she stared at the scene in front of her.
Her brother was pinned against the table.
His face was pressed flat against the surface, and the fist he had just thrown was now twisted behind his back. His wrist was firmly gripped by Liu Changqing, who held him down effortlessly.
An Qianxun struggled to break free, trying to push himself up, but because Liu Changqing was leaning against him, he couldn’t exert any force.
Breathing heavily, he glared upward as best as he could. Even though he looked utterly humiliated, he still had to throw out some tough words.
“Despicable! You ambushed me while I wasn’t ready!”
“……”
This kid… might not be the brightest.
Liu Changqing silently looked at the struggling An Qianxun, utterly baffled.
All I did was say hello, so why does this guy hate me so much? We barely exchanged a few words before he started swinging punches.
Just what the hell was he imagining in that head of his?
Realizing what was happening, An Yuanyao quickly rushed over and pried Liu Changqing’s hand away.
Liu Changqing let go and took a step back.
An Qianxun, now free, quickly retreated. He was just about to go for another round when he froze in shock.
His sister had wrapped her arms around Liu Changqing, shielding him with her back toward him.
She even shouted—
“If you want to hit him, you’ll have to hit me first!”
“…Sis…”
An Qianxun was stunned.
His face twisted with frustration as he stared at them. He didn’t know how long he stood there before finally letting out a long sigh.
It was like all the strength had drained out of him. He slumped into a chair.
An Yuanyao, still holding Liu Changqing, had her eyes shut tight.
After a while, when she didn’t feel her brother making another move, she cautiously peeked behind her—only to see her brother sitting there in defeat.
Before she could even let go of Liu Changqing, the door to their private room was suddenly pushed open.
Their pre-ordered dishes had arrived.
A waitress carrying a tray stepped in, but as soon as she saw the scene inside, she froze.
Luckily, her professional training kept her from reacting too noticeably. She simply set the dishes down before sneaking a glance at the two people tightly embracing each other.
Her imagination started running wild.
Two men… one woman… could it be…!!!
Excitement filled her, but she didn’t dare to linger. She quickly left the room.
Not long after, another server entered, repeating the same actions.
