Moo Yunfei finished arranging a meeting with Lulu and drove directly to the Lu family’s house.

On the second floor of the Lu family’s home, Lu Xuezhen leaned listlessly by the window, her expression sullen as she gazed outside.

Noises of the door turning made Lu Xuezhen startle; thinking it was her parents coming to see her, she turned her head, but the person she saw was the man she now detested the most, her ex-husband, Moo Yunfei. Lu Xuezhen’s face darkened, and she turned her head away.

Moo Yunfei cracked a smile, closed the door behind him, and approached Lu Xuezhen, "What’s wrong? Are you still mad at me? I’m sorry, Xuezhen, I truly love you. If you marry me, we can be as in love as we were before. I will treat you well for a lifetime."

Lu Xuezhen froze upon hearing Moo Yunfei say this, turned her head with a look of disappointment, "Moo Yunfei, do you think I would still believe you? If it weren’t for you, would I be confined in this room, unable to leave? Don’t show me your hypocritical face; it makes me sick."

"Sick!" Moo Yunfei had hoped to win Lu Xuezhen back with his tenderness, but her words made him scowl, and he forcefully gripped her chin, "Lu Xuezhen, I’m disgusting, but I’m not as disgusting as your parents. They sold you for a piece of land. How pitiful you are. Just play your part in this charade with me, and I’ll treat you well. But if you’re disobedient, don’t blame me for being unkind."

"What I want, you’ll know eventually. Now be obedient and tell your parents you will marry me," Moo Yunfei said with an evil pat on Lu Xuezhen’s cheek. He liked women who were obedient, like Lulu, who was always compliant and gentle with him. Lu Xuezhen might be beautiful, but she always had the arrogance of a Prestigious Family’s daughter and would not be as submissive as Lulu.

"Don’t even think about it, Moo Yunfei, get out!" Lu Xuezhen turned her face away and even pushed Moo Yunfei with force.

"What’s the matter? What’s the matter, Xuezhen? Yunfei has come all the way to see you, and this is how you treat him?" a sharp, middle-aged woman’s voice rang out, followed by the entrance of a high-class lady glaring dissatisfiedly at an angry Lu Xuezhen – the newcomer was none other than Lu Xuezhen’s mother.

"Yes, Xuezhen, Yunfei is such a good man. You should take a look at your own foul temper. Only Yunfei can put up with you," spoke a man about Lu Xuezhen’s age, with a similar face, somewhat raffish, even crudely digging his ears with his finger – the speaker was her brother, Lu Xueyan.

Standing beside Lu Xueyan was a woman, his wife, who looked timidly at Lu Xuezhen, wanting to speak up for her but not daring to. She held no status in this family and thus hesitated to say more.

Father Lu glared fiercely at Lu Xuezhen, "Speak properly to your husband. Don’t ever behave like this again."

Father Lu was a man with strong male chauvinistic beliefs, always favoring sons over daughters, which meant he wasn’t particularly fond of Lu Xuezhen.

"Dad, Mom, Brother, Sister-in-law, Moo Yunfei is nothing but a schemer, you must not be deceived by him," Lu Xue Zhen tried desperately to explain, her eyes filled with despair.

"What nonsense are you talking about? Yunfei is such a good person, marrying him is your good fortune," Mother Lu shook her head and scolded her daughter. Her son-in-law had directly given them a piece of land worth billions, and they couldn’t find a better son-in-law even with a lantern; yet her daughter was still unsatisfied.

"Mom and Dad, I understand Xuezhen’s dissatisfaction with me, after all, I let her down initially, but now that she is better, I want to take responsibility for her. I only hope that you both can marry Xuezhen to me as soon as possible," Moo Yunfei said, firmly gripping Lu Xue Zhen’s shoulders to prevent her from struggling, and pretended to be blissfully happy.

"Dad, you must believe me,"

"Enough, shut your mouth," Father Lu raised his voice to stop Lu Xue Zhen from speaking further.

Lu Xue Zhen’s eyes filled with pain, why would her parents rather believe a stranger than their own daughter?

"Let’s go, we should go outside and discuss our wedding date," Moo Yunfei said with a sinister smile, embracing the struggling Lu Xue Zhen and leading her outside. His visit today was to discuss their wedding date. "Don’t even think about it, I will not marry you," Lu Xue Zhen glared fiercely at Moo Yunfei.

He understood the character of his future in-laws; as long as he enticed them, they would surely hand over their daughter to him. Once he married Lu Xue Zhen, he would quickly take control of the Lu family, kick out this group of fools, and his Moo family would then reign supreme, dominating Feng City and becoming the most prestigious among men.

The Lu family members were sitting in the living room, Father Lu, Mother Lu, and Moo Yunfei happily conversing and discussing the wedding date.

"Qin Qin? Who is that?" Mother Lu frowned in confusion, she did not recall hearing this name before.

Upon hearing the name Qin Qin, Lu Xue Zhen’s eyes reddened as she struggled to contain her excited emotions.

She just knew Qin Qin would come to save her, she just knew it.
