Magus Supremacy-Chapter 824: A Timely Protection
Chapter 824
In another corner of the coliseum,
"Waterfall bash!" Gunther bellowed into the sky as he lifted his sword above his head.
The visual ki surrounding his body rose into the air and then with an almost immediate hurl of his hand, yellow waves crashed down towards Rowen at break neck speed.
The brute leader just remained rooted with a wide grin splitting his face as he crossed his hands being enhanced by Ki above his head.
WAM—!
The waves crashed atop Rowen with incredible power that the ground beneath his legs ruptured instantly with a fifteen metres deep hollow immediately appearing beneath his legs.
The waves kept crashing down, bearing down on the leader with increasing wait.
At the same time, Gunther was seen coughing out specks of blood while baiting his time, hoping that his attack does quite the damage.
In a few seconds, the attack dissipated and Rowen could be seen standing unhurt in the crater.
The only thing he was doing was twirling his wrist around as if it was paining.
"That was a real strong one. But Orion could do better."
Gunther snarled loudly as he shifted into a stance with his hands crossed in front of his face.
Without warning, he burst forward with swift agility while cutting through the air with his swords.
In a flash, he was before the leader of the Iron fur clan and wasted no time in making a swing from below towards his abdomen.
With a flawless leap to the side, he avoided Gunther’s swords.
Only for Mada to reach his position with a thrust of his half broken sword wrapped in visual ki.
With a stomp of his foot, Rowen displaced the area where he stood sending Mada sliding backwards without even being physically touched.
Sera came in from the flank with a rapid slash of her sword but with effortless and minimal movement, Rowen was dodging each and every one of the slashes like they were nothing.
Amidst the dodge of a slash, Gunther swooped in a with a slash of his own aimed at the brute’s neck.
Rowen stared at it grimly before ducking down to avoid the slash only to see Gunther’s second sword racing from below towards his head; ready to cleave it in two.
Placing his hands in front of his face in time, he blocked.
But unfortunately, he wasn’t fast enough to coat his hands with Ki hence the sword made a sharp, deep cut across his palms causing blood to splatter out.
A second hit that drew out blood!
’Impressive. Now I see why Orion pinned all his hopes on Gunther. He is quite the formidable warrior. If he had faced anybody else, he would have surely won by now and effortlessly. But unfortunately, he is up against me.’ Rowen praised inwardly before quickly leaping backwards to avoid any follow up.
’... Meanwhile Mada on the other hand,’ he continued before twirling around sharply and lifted one of his injured palm in front of his face to block a ki enhanced thrust from Mada’s half broken sword.
Clamping his hand tight on the blade, he stopped the direct descendant’s movement in an abrupt halt.
No matter how hard he struggled, the direct descendant was unable to free himself.
"... Too weak."
Shatter—!
The half sword he was managing, suddenly shattered into a dozen pieces while a swooping kick from below was rocketing towards his face.
Before it could strike though, Gunther immediately appeared in its path with his dual swords crossed in front of his body.
He also began channeling ki to the sword, his hands and even feet evenly.
The kick landed with such an explosive force that the ground beneath his feet caved in almost immediately.
However, Gunther refused to budge an inch even as he coughed out blood. Even as his hands trembled and ached in intense pain while begging him to move aside, he refused.
"Just get away." Rowen calmly sneered as his second foot was already coming from the side.
"Sera!" Gunther screamed while moaning in pain.
The elite female instructor instantly swooped in from below while lashing her sword forward biting into Rowen’s outstretched leg with quite the ferociousness.
A shockwave instantly blasted out from the sharp edge of the sword lodged an inch into Rowen’s leg which then blasted the limb away from the two brothers.
Rolling forward, Sera swiftly sprang to her feet just in time for a counter as a crushing punch was heading her way from above.
Left with no other option, Sera opted to leap to the side when the punch suddenly changed trajectory and a kick from the side lashed out instead.
BAM—!
It was colliding into a mountain with high speed as her eyes instantly rolled to the back of her head. Blood sprayed into the air dying it crimson.
Her whole body shot across the battlefield like an arrow and then collided with a part of the coliseum.
Cracks appeared behind her as the coliseum imitated her posture before she slid down from it and crumpled down into unconsciousness.
"Shit." Gunther gritted his teeth staring at this scene.
He was battered. Almost out of Ki and could barely keep himself standing.
His ribs were shattered from the kick he received from the brute before him. With every breath he took, a sharp pain was always felt in his abdomen.
He could barely breath properly talk more of standing yet he wanted to protect his brother behind him.
Three versus one, they were barely hanging on.
He wasn’t delusional to think they will pull out a win with a two versus one. It was too absurd.
"Welp. I have already had a semblance of fun already. You all can no longer produce excitement for me hence I will have to finish you both off with a total annihilation type ki infused punch. Get your asses ready!"
How stupid was Rowen for announcing his plans?
Mada wondered until he realized that the man was not so stupid because he hadn’t had the time to even blink when the man suddenly appeared before them.
The aura exuding from him was so intense that breathing was now hard enough for Mada.
Above them, his fist was hurled down shattering the sound barrier in an instant.
Gunther was barely able to twitch talk more of lifting his hands to protect them.
All he could do was watch as the punch from the man that almost resembled a boulder came crashing down.
"The Supreme Magus called, and we answered!"
Then an ashen portal appeared directly in front of Gunther and from it, a tower shield materialized.
It was too late for Rowen to pull back his punch when he noticed the shield hence he just kept going.
’I will just destroy the shield!’
BAM—!

"Oh-uh... you just made a mistake punching the shield!"
