Magus Supremacy-Chapter 841: Turn to Speak
Chapter 841
...
There was an errie silence that descended upon the whole coliseum as all eyes landed on the two dozen men who were torn from their torsos.
Then turning back to stare at the culprit, they could see that Grey had his eyes open as he took in the sight of the arena.
Pluck who had been retreating a moment ago, paused.
He turned around following the thudding sound and there he saw the twenty-four men on the ground. Blood pooled beneath their bodies like a river.
Orion remained unfazed by this as his eyes landed on the Supreme Magus a few metres away.
The duo glared at one another with calm gazes. A silent, invisible crackle of lightning was fizzling between them the more they stared at one another.
The Northern booth too was deathly silent as they looked upon this phenomenon.
A single word. A single whisper. And a single attack split twenty-four stage five warriors like a piece of steak.
It was shocking. And this further put the mage in front of them on a high enough ladder of power.
It was obvious; the kid was not all bark. He definitely could bite.
Tak. Tak. Tak.
Each step Grey took, the ground was rumbling silently as if awaiting to burst open.
The wind whipped his robes wildly along with his hair. He kept a calm gait as he passed by tons of craters that had already formed on the ground.
He passed by an unconscious Fenrir on the ground and finally stood side by side with Thalos and Noir who were five metres away from Orion.
Ray, Finral and Liam quickly dashed forward to grab Fenrir’s body away from the clash that was sure to follow.
Bringing him to a safe enough distance, they all turned their gazes to the stand off.
Alba and her other clan members sauntered over. Standing before Ray, Liam and Finral— ready to dash forward to assist the Supreme Magus whenever they saw he was in danger.
They doubted if he would need it though. But it won’t hurt to be safe.
"Ah... The so-called Supreme Magus finally decides to join in on the fun eh?" Orion chuckled silently.
Grey didn’t give any snarky remark. He just remained composed with the ground beneath his feet rumbling loudly like the growling stomach of a beast.
"You know? Our oracle sure has a good eye for revelations. He knew how powerful you would become. He saw the anomaly you would become hence we tried recruiting you years ago. But what did you do? You turned us down."
Grey kept listening in as the warrior before him rambled on.
"... Unfortunately for you, I don’t share in the same ideology about bringing you into our cohort. You have been a pain in the ass for so long and you definitely need to go."
"....."
"Are you done?" Grey finally uttered with a calm, indifferent gaze.
Orion just shrugged at the mage before him.
"Now it’s my turn to speak." The Supreme Magus added as he held his hand to the sky and from it, an orange orb began crackling with intensity.
Whoosh—!
Flames coalesced around the top of his palms into a gigantic fireball that looked like a miniature sun.
Orion looked unfazed as he stared at the fireball atop Grey’s palms.
Without saying a word, Grey hurled the fireball forward with all his might.
A clamorous bang rang out with forceful intensity as the fireball flew forward at a literal blazing speed crossing the distance between them in the blink of an eye.
Orion just exhaled unfeelingly and waved his hand forward causing his visual ki to erupt forward and collide with the fireball.
Another deafening bang ensued as the ground where the attacks collided around splintered as the two attacks struggled against one another, pushing with all their might and trying to gain dominance over the other.
Finally, one did manage to gain dominance! 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Orion’s visual ki orb in the form of a wave smashed the fireball into the ground creating a ten metres wide crater that instantly yawned open the moment they connected with the earth.
"Go." Grey calmly ordered.
From his sides, Noir and Thalos bolted forward with lightning speed.
Within a heartbeat, they were before Orion and they wasted no time in attacking.
Thalos’ blade whipped through the air from one side while a flame breath from Noir burst out from the second flank.
Orion didn’t even bother moving as a yellow tide surged across his body.
With a spin, he sent a shockwave blasting outward that collided with Thalos’ blade pushing it away from him.
For Noir’s flame breath, a ki longsword instantly materialized in the man’s grip which he swung forward slicing through the flames like they were a piece of clothing.
The ki longsword continued forward hoping to slice the familiar only for Thalos to suddenly bolt in front of the wolf with his greatsword intercepting Orion’s attack with a loud clang.
The ground splintered beneath their feet.
Noir instantly shrunk down and in a flash, bolted in between Thalos’ legs before leaping into the air with a laser beam shooting towards Orion at full speed.
Waving his hand in the air, a small ki shield appeared before him absorbing the impact of the laser beam.
Thalos quickly let his grip on his sword go causing it to fall down while Orion’s longsword continued forward smashing into the gargoyle’s side.
The sword shattered against the longsword shattered against his shoulder like brittle glass.
With a small frown on his face, Thalos’ fist rocketed towards the man’s face with a sharp uppercut.
Orion casually leaned his head backward allowing the fist to fly past his knuckles.
Now, his gaze was fixed on the sky where he could see Noir hovering above him with his horns glowing.
TWIIIIIP—!
A laser beam shot down towards the man at blazing speed.
With uncanny speed, Orion darted away from that spot allowing the laser beam to tear into the ground easily.
Appearing somewhere else, a distance far away from the gargoyle and the familiar, Orion scowled.
But as if sensing this, Thalos spun around like a sharp broken arrow and without hesitation, hurled his greatsword forward sending it flying at tremendous speed causing the sound barrier to break.
Then,
Like a ghost, Grey appeared atop the flying greatsword using it like a surf board as in a heartbeat, the sword was before Orion who was ready to block only for him to sight the Supreme Magus atop the blade.
With a neutral expression on his face, Grey clicked his fingers and five hundred wind swords the size of Thalos’ own sword appeared all around the area.
Orion was surrounded from every corner.
