Chapter 901

Raze blinked confusedly at the scene he had just experienced.

The lightning crackled around his hands with lethal intensity as he hauled his power toward the Otherworlder before him.

But in the next second, the figure vanished from view.

It wasn’t teleportation, but overwhelming speed—velocity far greater than his own lightning-enhanced skill.

The sphere of crackling electricity around his hands crashed into the earth with destructive force, kicking up a massive cloud of dust and turning the ground into a jagged, deep crevice.

’Huh?’

Raze spun around sharply with lightning reflexes.

He was just in time, as the figure materialized directly before him, a fist shooting forward with blazing momentum.

Before the punch could connect, a glowing spherical barrier shimmered into existence all around Raze.

The Otherworlder’s fist hammered into the translucent shield.

A low, resounding boom hummed through the air, and the very ground seemed to shudder from the heavy force of the strike.

Yet, the barrier held firm, and Raze didn’t move an inch.

Tilting his head to the side, the masked figure caught sight of one of the seven warriors standing on the field with his hands held out, focusing his mana.

"Timely intervention, Arthur!" Raze shouted.

Bang!

He exploded forward once more in a jagged streak of lightning.

The Otherworlder turned to face him in an instant, only to see a brilliant bolt humming with dangerous power swinging toward his abdomen.

Kicking off the ground, the figure immediately leaped backward with uncanny agility, narrowly dodging the discharge.

The moment his feet touched the earth, he felt a searing heat rushing toward him from behind.

Twirling around fluidly, a longsword materialized in his hand—a vibrant, solid yellow blade that appeared out of nowhere.

He hauled the weapon forward with immense speed.

A roaring tunnel of flames was surging toward him, only for his longsword to cleave directly through the center of the inferno, dispelling the heat easily.

Zipping to the right with blinding quickness, he avoided a hundred lightning arrows that descended from the sky like a torrential rain toward his position.

The projectiles turned the earth into a deep, smoking hollow.

A cloud of debris was immediately kicked up as the ground continued shuddering under the assault.

Turning his head, the Otherworlder set his eyes on another figure whose hands were crackling with lethal energy.

This newcomer looked, moved, and carried the unmistakable air of a noble—someone who viewed the general populace as beneath his station.

Quickly snapping out of his thoughts, the Otherworlder tilted his head to the side just in time as a water bullet—as long and sharp as a spear—rushed past his ear, digging itself deep into the stone.

Scarlet stepped forward calmly.

Her crimson hair flapped wildly in the wind as she glared at the masked figure with increasing hatred.

"Your damned organization took so many people I cared about," she began, her teeth gnashing together with mounting fury.

The temperature in the area plummeted a few degrees, turned chilling by her sheer killing intent.

Then, as if they had always been there, hundreds of fireballs began manifesting in the air all around her.

The figure shifted slightly as he observed this phenomenon.

He didn’t look fazed in the slightest—not that anyone could truly see his expression behind the mask.

But from his relaxed posture, the squad deducted that he was feeling nonchalant about the scene, as if the girl posed no real threat to his life.

Kael stood further away, refusing to interfere for now.

His eyes scanned the battlefield with peculiar interest, his analytical mind working at high speeds.

’He seems to be using that strange power-up those Otherworlders utilized,’ Kael mused silently. ’Not magic, but something fundamentally different.’

In a flash, more than two hundred fireballs hovered all around Scarlet.

Hauling her hand forward, they flew towards the Otherworlder with blazing speed, appearing almost like a shower of falling comets.

Leaning forward, his eyes narrowed, followed by the sudden cracking of the earth beneath his feet.

BANG!

The Otherworlder blasted forward, running headlong to meet the hundreds of fireballs speeding his way.

"Uh... is he nuts?" Raze couldn’t help but comment, a look of genuine bewilderment crossing his face.

"I hate cocky fools, tsk." The noble-like figure, Greg, remarked with a look of pure disdain while lightning fizzled around his palms.

Raze turned to face him with a raised brow.

"Remind me, Greg, weren’t you cocky back then before Grey put you in your place?"

At the mention of that name, Raze froze, and so did Greg, who squeezed his hands together angrily.

Booom—! Boom—! Boom—!

The thunderous sounds of explosions snapped them out of their bickering as they looked up to see the Otherworlder bolting directly into the fireballs.

His speed was magnificent—reminiscent of a lightning mage, yet much higher than anything the duo could achieve without utilizing their affinities to the extreme.

He whipped out two yellow longswords that seemed to shimmer into his grasp whenever required.

He was swinging masterfully into the fireballs in mid-air, dancing between them like a fluid swordsman.

Each movement remained minimal and precisely calculated.

The air around him stayed calm and focused as he swung and slashed, easily tearing through the projectiles.

"How is he doing that? Scarlet has definitely gotten stronger than before. He is effortlessly destroying a five-star mage’s attack like that?" The water user, Jay, commented with a hint of confusion in his eyes.

"These Otherworlders... they are not to be underestimated," another member of the group, Vanica, added with a small snarl as her eyes shifted from pink to a stark white.

With a final tornado-like spin, the Otherworlder dispelled the last fireball.

Before he could even think of reaching the ground, Jay held out his hand.

"Sea Dragon!" he bellowed into the skies.

ROARRRRRRR—!

The sound was ear-shaking as a humongous dragon made entirely out of water burst forth.

With thunderous speed, it smashed its head into the Otherworlder, propelling him upward before snaking back down to hammer him straight into the ground with overwhelming force.

BOOOOM!

A massive shockwave blasted outwardly, followed by a violent gust of wind that rustled their hair and robes.
