Chapter 116: I’ll stick with you Gabe.

Before Alex could answer, Gabe suddenly reached up, wrapped a hand around the back of Alex’s neck, and pulled him forward.

Alex lost his balance, his foot slipping against the tiled floor as the soapy water splashed beneath him. He stumbled, barely managing to steady himself as his clothes were instantly soaked, the wet fabric clinging tightly to his body. The thin material molded to his frame, outlining his well-defined muscles and toned abs far too clearly. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

Gabe swallowed hard at the sight.

Before Alex could react, Gabe leaned in and pressed their lips together.

The kiss was intense...hungry and reckless. Their mouths moved against each other with urgency, hands roaming without much thought as the steam-filled bathroom seemed to close in around them. Gabe’s fingers slid instinctively over Alex’s body, while Alex’s grip tightened at Gabe’s waist, his breath growing uneven.

"Uh stop it, Gabe." Alex finally spoke, pulling back and forcing a shaky breath as he broke the kiss. "I’m just here to help you bathe, remember?"

It’s not like I can actually fuck you, Alex thought inwardly with a heavy sigh. Anytime I suck your dick or you suck mine, it leaves me painfully hard without penetration. I pay for it later...restless nights, burning need. And now I’m getting closer to rut... anything that gets me this hard, like you just did, is something I should be avoiding.

"You don’t want me?" Gabe raised an eyebrow, irritation flickering across his face. "You tell me to stop, but you’re the one who got me hard stroking my dick and pretending you were just washing it."

"Huh?" Alex replied quickly, swallowing hard. "I was only washing it. That’s all." He looked away briefly before continuing more carefully. "Like you said before... you can feel your legs now, and your dick too. That means your heat is approaching. You shouldn’t be involved in anything intimate it’ll only worsen your heart symptoms."

"No." Gabe’s voice was firm, almost desperate. "This is what’s relieving me right now, Alex." He met Alex’s eyes seriously. "Getting involved in intimate moments actually eases my heat symptoms. I’ll deal with the worst of it when I’m fully in heat, but right now... I need you."

"You said we’re just therapist and client," Alex said quietly, raising an eyebrow as his throat bobbed. "Have you forgotten that?"

I know that hurts you, Alex, Gabe thought inwardly. But Sabe’s case is over now. Even if I don’t want to get married again, I can still keep you close. I don’t want to lose you.

"Uhm... that was then," Gabe finally said after what felt like forever. "That was before we handled Sabe’s case. I was still married to him then but not anymore. He’s in prison now. I’m free."

"Are you trying to say we’re not just therapist and client anymore?" Alex asked, curiosity laced with restraint. "Then what are we?" He paused before adding, "And why should I be the one helping you relieve your heat symptoms? I’m not an alpha. You haven’t even met an alpha you like yet."

"Uhmm... I...I..." Gabe stammered, swallowing hard, words failing him.

"Just say you can’t assist me as my therapist anymore," Gabe finally said with a heavy sigh. "Yeah, I don’t see you as just my therapist. You’re... more than that. Someone I trust. Someone I rely on. You’ve helped me a lot."

He hesitated, then continued softly, "You’re right....I haven’t found another alpha I like yet. But what if I tell you I like someone else? Even though he’s not an alpha." His voice wavered. "And it’s hard to express how I feel because I don’t even know what it is. I don’t know if it’s love... or lust... or if I’m just trying to cling to someone because I lost Sabe. It’s complicated, Alex."

"So you’re saying you like this person," Alex said slowly, rubbing a hand over his face before letting out a tired sigh. "You trust them. You lean on them. But you don’t know whether it’s love or lust?" He looked back at Gabe. "If I may ask... who is this person, Gabe?"

Alex’s tone softened, professional instinct slipping in despite everything. "I’m your therapist. I believe you should tell me. We’ve even been preparing how you’d satisfy this person before you even knew who they were."

Instead of answering, Gabe leaned forward again.

He pressed his lips against Alex’s, kissing him deeply, passionately, like his life depended on it.

Just stop asking questions, Gabe thought desperately as his arms wrapped around Alex’s neck. Just kiss me.

"You should answer my question, Gabe," Alex said firmly, breaking the kiss despite the protest in his body. "This is important." He took a step back, steadying himself. "And since you’ve found someone you like, there’s no need to continue this with me."

He met Gabe’s gaze seriously. "Everything else...flirting, getting closer, figuring out your feelings that should be done with that person. Study him. See if you truly like him... and if he likes you too."

"Why you?!" Gabe voiced out, his voice edged with anger, frustration clearly etched across his face. "Can you just stop asking me questions?" His chest rose and fell unevenly as he continued, eyes blazing. "Can you just shut the fuck up and kiss me?"

He clenched his jaw, fingers trembling at his sides. "You made me this way anyway, so why are you pulling back now? You’re the one who made me go crazy about you!"

"Huh?" Alex raised an eyebrow, genuine confusion crossing his features.

"Oh yes," Gabe snapped, laughter slipping into his voice, sharp and bitter. "You keep driving me crazy despite the fact that you’re a beta." He exhaled harshly. "And yeah the person I like is you." His voice dropped, strained but honest. "I don’t even know if this is true love, because we’ve done everything except real penetration. So how am I supposed to know if it’s just lust?"

He swallowed hard, words tumbling out faster now, like he couldn’t stop himself. "Everything about you drives me insane. You stay calm and collected while I’m miserable behind closed doors masturbating, thinking about your lessons during the day, wishing you’d just slide that mighty dick of yours into my asshole even though I know I shouldn’t be thinking like that."

Gabe sucked in a breath, panting heavily. "Why should I be the only one suffering like this?"

His eyes burned as they locked onto Alex. "Yeah, I know you’re a therapist. You’re probably used to people projecting feelings onto you. But I’m not used to this." His voice cracked. "And now you pretend you’re just washing my dick when you’re actually stroking it."

He swallowed again, throat tight. "Tell me, Alex... do you enjoy seeing me like this? Miserable?"

Is he trying to tell me he loves me? Alex thought inwardly, his breath hitching. Slowly, he lifted his hands, cupping Gabe’s cheeks, forcing him to meet his gaze.

"What are you trying to say, Gabe?" Alex asked quietly. "You like me?" He tilted his head slightly. "Since when?"

"Since when you almost ruined my legs with your car!" Gabe yelled back, anger flaring again. "Since when you bought me to your office." His voice wavered. "Since when you fucking asked me to suck a banana like it was a real dick!"

The words hung in the air.

Huh? Did I just say all that?! Gabe screamed inwardly, panic rushing through him. I spilled way too much. His heart pounded violently. And it’s true... I admired this idiot from the moment I woke up in his office.

Does that mean it wasn’t lust? Do I actually like him? Seriously?

"Maybe it wasn’t lust," Gabe finally said aloud, his shoulders slumping as he let out a heavy sigh. "Maybe I really do like you." His voice softened, losing its sharp edge. "Maybe I learned how to suck a dick properly, how to stroke, how to do everything... because of you."

He looked away briefly before meeting Alex’s eyes again. "You’re the one I was learning all that for." His lips twitched into a faint, bitter smile. "And now that I think about it, I wanted to stay away from alphas and their bullshit because of Sabe."

His voice dropped to almost a whisper. "Maybe heaven heard my tears that night and decided to give me a beta instead."

Yeah... that’s true, Gabe thought inwardly with a slow exhale.

And heaven didn’t just give you a beta, Alex thought to himself, heart pounding, but an enigma ...someone who doesn’t even fit into the ranking system.

Without another word, Alex slid a hand behind Gabe’s neck, drawing him closer, and pressed his lips against his.

The kiss was deeper this time....slower, more deliberate, filled with everything they hadn’t said.

Maybe you’re the one I need, Alex thought inwardly as he intensified the kiss. I don’t care if I never have offspring. Only omegas could give birth afterall and I’ve tested them but they never got pregnant.

I’ll stick with you, Gabe.
