Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity-Chapter 182: Sparring matChapter
"Hmm!! Why not?" Slamming his hand on the table, a young man with brown hair and a small mustache stood up and said to no one in particular.
He slowly chewed down on a piece of meat with a grin on his face. A sparing match was a great idea, it would give them the opportunity to show these outer clan fools that the difference between them, was like that between the heavens and the earth.
"Yes, it is a good idea" Sith who was still seated on the table concurred. The urge to put the outer clansman in their places had never been stronger in his mind. However, he wasn’t planing to fight.
"You do the honors" with the side of his eyes, he looked at another young man seated on the same table as him.
This guy too was a level 3 warlock of the clan, but he wasn’t a Sentinel like Sith.
Sentinels were high ranking officers of the enforcement unit, they consisted of the truly powerful talents and main strengths of the clan. All sentinels were at least level 3 warlocks, but not all level 3 warlocks could be sentinels.
There was a talent factor involved.
"Yes boss" the young man nodded and stood up.
"Good" Gion smiled and waved his hand and, Like something of instinct the chairs were moved backwards creating a circle In the middle of the grassland.
This would be the fighting stage.
—woosh
—WOOSH
like clock work, the figures of two clan members appeared in the middle of the grassland facing each other down.
"Begin"
Not wasting a moment of time, the High Arbiters voice resounded and the two parties lunched forward with their bare fists.
The first dividing line between mages and warlocks, was physical strength. While the mages delt more with mana spells that could improve their attack output, warlocks were naturally gifted with brutal offensive capabilities.
So it was only natural that In a sparring match between warlocks, The first test would be a test of physical Strength!!!
—Boom
—Boom
—Boom
Punches started flying, blows from backed with vibrant life energy and several sonic booms of a strong magnitude resounded.
The man with the mustache started with mid gut kicks that forced his opponent to take heavy damages within the first few seconds of the battle. Dispite the incredible healing factor or warlocks, internal and disorienting injuries were largely effective.
So laying seige on the stomach was definitely a good idea. However, this was under the prerequisite that the opposition just sit there and take those attacks.
Unfortunately, fighters like those just did not seem to exist. So with every attack to the stomach and ribs, the enforcer from Siths side responded wit a Punch directly to the head of the mustache man.
Blood soon started splattering on the grass blades around causing them to corrde and decay.
"That’s got to hurt" Ember gashed her teeth as she watched the scene before her unfold. They as mages didn’t have the incredible healing factor as warlocks, so they would hardly resort to this kind of physical exchange of blows.
Watching them go at it with no regard for their own wellbeing sent a chill down the spine.
"Hehe, it does" Leon smirked. The lengths one had to go just to take down a warlock was pretty steep. A blow to the brain or a severe injury that couldn’t be recovered in a short period of time. There was no in-between.
Warlocks were not so different from beats.
"BloodSerpent work: Bloodlight fist" the enforcer from Siths side activated a spell mid fight and struck directly at the mustache warlock causing him to flinch and hurriedly activate a spell to shield himself.
—kang!!!
This of course wouldn’t stop the impact of the attack from taking some sort of effect. His body was flung from where he stood and into the tall grasses around the grassland.
"Arg!!!" Raising himself up, the warlock with the mustache looked up at his opponent with eyes filled with murderous rage. This jerk had switched fighting style with no hints and used a spell on him.
It was dishonorable.
"Calm down, you lost" from his chair, the mustached man’s Boss who was also a Sentinel waved for him to not continue fighting.
This wasn’t a competition between both parties, if not he wouldn’t have sent him out. They were just here to show the difference in skill and relentlessness.
"Hmmm, what a powerful spell" back of the outer clansmens table Leon mused outloud.
"Yes it is.....at least to an extent." Zaldris nodded slightly before going forward to say.....
"That’s the thing about being a lone warlock at such a young age. Most focus on improving their Sites and forget about spell usage. We see it all the time.....tell me kid, how many times can you use your Site in a day?" Zaldris asked Leon.
"I don’t know, 3? 4 Times a day?" Leon responded with genuine curiosity.
Updat𝓮d fr𝙤m ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com.
"Hm?"
But Instead of that, he was met with a shocked expression on Zaldris’ face. Leon didn’t know this but Sites were very limited at the beginner level of level 3.
It was very draining to activate a Site spell so, Most talents could use it at most twice a day, but Leon was insinuating that he could use it double that amount of time.
"Okay....still you can only use it for a fixed amount of time per day. What happens if you can’t use it after that?" Zaldris asked.
"Hmm, you’re right" Leon knitted his brows, he still had options to be honest, but what about ordinary warlocks who couldn’t use any of Leon’s trump cards? What would they do if they couldn’t use their Site anymore?
This question hadn’t occurred to Leon yet, because most time level 3 existences would fight it out with their Sites till one emerges victorious. But there was a probability that one side could dodge all the Site attacks and then go crazy at you.
If he were in that situation with none of his trump cards, he would just have to run wouldn’t he?
"The lack of spells for warlocks in small clan usually make them forget that there’s always a higher tier. This is one of the advantages our main clan memebers have over you guys" Zaldris explained.
Spells with the power equalling a level 3 warlocks output was rare in the boonies like eldoria, but they were abundant in the main clan.
They even had a few spells at level 4.
"Looks like I’ll need to up my game" Leon thought to himself.
The stress of getting spells was now weighing on Leon once again.
"Good show!!!" Gion praised with glee. The fight was brutal and quick, he loved battles likes these. Especially those with sneak attacks.
"That’s how it’s done in the main clan? Dishonorable!!!" From the bench of the warlocks, a young man with red hair spat out with disgust in his tone.
That was a sneak attack. How could this be praised behaviour? Even though they were seen to be cunning by other clans, it shouldn’t become normal in the main clan.
"Ahhh? You don’t like the ways of the main clan? Do something about it!!!!" With eyes filled with thrill Gion looked over at the young man with red hair and spoke.
His words earlier, now seemed to just be meant for fanning more flames. He knew that this kid Mordrid was a prideful and heroic type, he was the type to go into a battle head first without thinking.....there were alot of those In the clan here too.
"I will!!!" Mordrid stood stood up and walked to the stage to face off with Siths goon.
As he did so, the entire atmosphere became dreadful as the main clan memebers stared him down, like wolves would rabbits.
"Is this really what you want?" The enforcer looked at Mordrid and asked. He was getting involved with what did not concern him, what kind of shit behaviour was that?
"Shut up and fight" Mordrid raised his hand to the sky and said.
"BloodSerpent Site: BloodyWind tempest"
He didn’t exchange a single blow, nor did he complain anymore, he just went ahead to use a Site spell. The most powerful spell In his arsenal.
Suddenly, a small breeze began to blow littering the Area with a blood red wind that could visibly be seen by those around.
"Wind attribute Site"
On thevm high table, the High Arbiter watched as the blood Maniac Mordrid activated his bloodserpent Site with Wind and blood attribute.
Every single outer clan members that was here today was talented in their own way.
These guys were the cream of the crop he could find after searching with his men. In fact this whole event was for him to test how well they would fair against talents of the clan.
He was happy that everything was coming together slowly. All he needed to do was sit here and watch the talents reveal themselves.
