Married To My Ex's Brother, Reborn Miraculously-Chapter 289: I’ll take everything from you.
Chapter 289: I’ll take everything from you.
His grip eased at her vulnerability. His hand moved gently to her cheek, stroking her soft skin. Without a word, he sat up, swinging his legs over the side of the bed.
"Are you living here?" he asked, eyeing the modest furnishings.
Tania gave a theatrical sigh. "Yes. After everything that happened, my career tanked. My assets were seized. I have no job, no savings, no home. Right now, this hotel is the best I can manage. It’s temporary until I figure things out."
"You don’t need to stay in a place like this," Gabriel said, his tone commanding. "Check out today. Rent yourself a proper house. Don’t worry about the cost."
He stepped away from the bed, collecting his suit jacket from the floor. Digging into the inner pocket, he pulled out his wallet and removed a sleek black card.
"Here," he said, holding it out to her. "There is a five-million limit. Use it however you need."
Tania’s eyes sparkled as she accepted the card. "You are quite generous."
Gabriel stepped close again, his fingers suddenly snapping up to pinch her chin, his grip tight.
"But remember this," he growled, eyes boring into hers. "If you lie to me or try to cross me, I will make you disappear. And this time, no one will find you."
Pain flashed in her eyes as his fingers dug into her skin, but she kept smiling, even as her gaze shimmered with tears.
"I wouldn’t dare," she whispered, wrapping her hands around his wrist. "I’ve learned my lesson. All I want now is a peaceful life. You can trust me. I’m ready to give you a child."
Her voice softened on the last line, knowing exactly how much weight those words carried with him. Gabriel’s obsession with bloodline and legacy was his weakness, and she intended to exploit it.
As expected, the threat in his eyes faded. He relaxed, and his hand slid gently down her jaw, knuckles grazing her skin.
"Be good," he said. "Don’t make trouble for me, and I’ll give you everything you want."
With that, he turned and disappeared into the bathroom.
Left alone, Tania’s smile dropped instantly. Her face hardened, eyes sharp with simmering rage.
"This is just the beginning," she muttered under her breath, staring coldly at the bathroom door. "I’ll take everything from you. The entire Beaumont family will kneel at my feet."

When Gabriel entered the office, he found Denis waiting for him. His expression hardened instantly.
"What are you doing here?" he snapped as he strode to his desk and dropped into his chair. "Shouldn’t you be focusing on work instead of sitting here, doing nothing?"
Denis scowled at him. "You walked out before dinner last night and didn’t come home. You even kept your phone off. None of us could reach you. Mom was sick with worry. She couldn’t sleep at all. Her blood pressure shot up. We had to call the doctor this morning. He said it was from stress."
He studied his father closely, eyes narrowing. "How could you be so careless over something so minor? Just because the engagement with Megan fell through, you disappeared and turned the whole house upside down. But you didn’t stop to consider—maybe what happened was for the best. Her true face came out before the marriage. Isn’t that a relief?"
Every word Denis said was true. But Gabriel wasn’t listening to reason. His mind was still clouded with everything that had happened the night before. He couldn’t tell Denis the truth.
So instead, he lashed out.
"Relief?" Gabriel barked, eyes flashing with fury. "There is nothing to be relieved about. You have done nothing for this family. No wife, no child, no legacy. And Augustine? That man is outpacing you at every turn. His wife turned out to be the Granets’ real daughter. Now he has got the Gilsons behind him too. He is building an empire. And you? You are just a disappointment."
"A disappointment?" Denis shot back, taken aback. "I was used. I was lied to. I was engaged to someone who manipulated and betrayed me. I was a victim. And somehow that’s my failure?"
His voice rose, trembled with a mix of hurt and anger. "How can you look at me and say that?"
"Victim?" Gabriel scoffed with contempt. "No, you are a fool. A loser. You couldn’t even recognize who truly loved you. If you had stayed loyal to just one woman, none of this would’ve happened. You could have married Anne years ago. We could have solidified our ties with the Granets. But because of your stupidity, you lost her."
His tone grew sharper as he jabbed an accusing finger at Denis. "She is not married to Augustine. You let her slip through your fingers."
He didn’t stop there. "And you couldn’t stay loyal to Tania either."
Denis’s eyes flared, voice rising in defense. "I never wanted to break up with Anne," he snapped. "Tania was nothing but a fling. She walked out on me in the first place. I only took her back to humiliate her. I wanted her to crawl back to me, to beg for what she threw away, and I got exactly that."
He paused, fury boiling to the surface.
"But Anne? She was different. I wanted to be with her. You are the one who pressured me into marrying Tania. And even after she brought disgrace to this family, you still didn’t stop. You shoved Megan at me like I was your pawn in some business deal."
Denis’s voice cracked as it reached a boiling point. "This time, I was lucky Megan’s mask came off before the engagement. But it was you who kept tying me to the wrong women."
He pointed at Gabriel, eyes burning. "If it’s a child you want so badly, I’ll give you one through surrogacy. I don’t need a wife. I don’t need to be shackled to anyone."
And with that, Denis turned on his heel and stormed out, slamming the office door behind him.
Gabriel sat frozen for a moment, his expression contorted with rage. Then his lips twisted into a cruel sneer.
"Surrogacy?" He snorted. "I don’t need your child to protect the Beaumont legacy from ending up with Augustine. I’ll have a child of my own soon, and when that happens, you’ll be thrown out of this house, just like I cast Augustine out years ago."
