Married to my nemesis-Chapter 247: Can she be here?
Abi lifted her hand to her head as she gradually slipped into unconsciousness. Her lips parted gently, and she murmured, "Enim."
The men who struck Abi on the head succeeded in hoisting her into a van. They placed her in the backseat before driving off.
Abi struggled to keep her eyes open, attempting to conserve her energy, yet she sensed her strength waning. Her eyelashes fluttered as her head rested against the tinted window, the car gliding past the cemetery.
In a state of helplessness, she could do nothing but let out a weak growl as she struggled to stay conscious, though the dizziness gradually overwhelmed her. Her eyes, barely open, caught glimpses of the outside, observing the church surroundings as the van neared the Catholic church.
As the van navigated the church driveway, she observed a car pulling into the church parking area. A man emerged from the vehicle, strikingly similar to Matthew in appearance.
"Matthew?" she uttered softly, her voice barely audible. She continued to watch intently, gaining a clearer panoramic view as the van circled the parking lot before exiting the church grounds.
Just before reaching the church’s main gates, Abi let out another grunt as a cloth was draped over her head.

Meanwhile, as Matthew arrived at the church parking lot, he exited his car and scanned the surroundings. Initially, it appeared to be a casual glance, but then he started speaking to Vixen on the phone, revealing his true intent.
"Are you absolutely certain she won’t show up? What if she spots me?" Matthew inquired.
"Just wear your sunglasses then; I don’t see why it’s an issue," Vixen calmly responded.
Matthew exhaled deeply, pulling the sunglasses from his pocket and putting them on. He walked towards the church, instantly recognizable by his stride, as Vixen had already informed some officials about his imminent arrival.
They were two people who came up to Matthew dressed in a choir uniform.
In other to bond in and not look suspicious, the officials decided to wear something that would seem casual while they continued with their work.
Matthew was led by these two as they headed towards the courtyard of the church, and there, while they were walking, Mtthew noticed shattered pieces of glass lay on the ground.
Matthew walked up to the area while the officials stopped, their gaze on Matthew but also attempting to protect Matthew from any unpredicted danger.
Matthew crouched as he came closer to the piece as he stared at what was on the ground and then he stretched his hand to it while being careful not to get pierced by the glass.
"Vixen, I think Abi must have been here, there’s a phone right here and the woman I instructed to find someone to follow Abi said the location of his phone got destroyed right after her conversation with Abi," he stated, then he flipped the body to the other side noticing a sim at the edge of the body of the phone.
"Yeah, is definitely it," Matthew added.
"Well then do you see her anywhere?" Vixen asked.
While he was still crouching, Matthew turned his gazes to the officials; "Did you perhaps see Abi around?" he asked them as they shook their head.
"No sir," One of the officials spoke.
"Well then that means she’s no longer at the church. Besides, you said you know where she had gone, Vixen."
"Just follow the two people there, they’ll lead you."
"And what if we get there and do not see Abi there?"
"We still have a plan that has not been executed, Matthew. You really don’t have to be impatient."
"Says the person whose sister isn’t in danger."
"You could say whatever you want, if you don’t hurry then only God knows what might happen next." Vixen said as Matthew clicked his tongue and then he stood up as he turned to the officials.
Soon enough they entered the car while one of the officials glanced at the infotainment system of the car which located Abi’s whereabout. It took some minutes and before they could feel impatient, they found themselves at the gate of the cemetery.
They came down the car as the place sounded silent and dead, some workers at the place maintained the area but silently did their work.
When Matthew came down, he began to walk through the passage, walking down to a particular grave. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
They walked for some moments and after a while, they recognized a car being parked in front of a grave. A small frown on Matthew’s face, he headed towards the car in a haste.
Moving closer, he looked around and saw the key of the car on the ground and along with the key, Abi’s phone which laid on the ground.
"You were right Vixen. Abi came to Enim’s graveyard but then her things are on the ground, and I don’t see her anywhere."
"No wonder the tracker on Abi’s phone led us there." Vixen confirmed.
"Yeah, but what should we do. I think we were late on this one. Maybe Mia had been able to get her, she must have been kidnapped," Matthew stated the facts with a growl.
"I knew that there was surely up with Mia!" Vixen angrily stated and then Matthew uncomfortably removed the earbud on his ear since he could hear the sound of a thrown chair from Vixen’s side.
"Vixen, I believe it’s best for us to shift our focus to another aspect right now. We anticipated that Mia would likely attempt something involving Abi, so we need to devise a plan to counter her actions. Additionally, Mia’s behavior is quite predictable. If I were to speculate on her next move, I would bet she’ll either try to distance Abi or manipulate her to gain an advantage. There’s no chance Mia would harm Abi at this point, especially if we convince her that everything is unfolding according to her scheme."
"Well, then it seems we have to go with your plan then," Vixen said to Matthew in a hoarse tone.

With a cold and unexplainable gaze, Vixen was walked through the hallway of the detention house. His hands put in hand cuff, he was dressed in an orange detention cloth, held on the arm by one of the police men while he was guided to his jail cell.
While he strolled through the place, he crossed by other jail cells filed with detainers who stared at Vixen with some dirty and irritated look.
Vixen didn’t give them the attention since he didn’t concentrate his gaze at any of them but then some of the detainers seemed to be intruding as they spout nasty words at Vixen.
It took a while, then they finally made it to his ceil as Vixen was asked to turn around so the officer could release the cuffs around his hands. The piece was taken off and then Vixen headed into the ceil while the police officer locked the door of the gate.
Vixen stared at the room, two bunk beds place at each side of the room leaving a small space for a chair and a desk to be placed in between. The room was decorated with posters of woman dressed in exotic clothes with poses looking intruding.
Vixen stayed on his spot, staring at the three men that stared at him while on their bunk beds for a while. One laid on the top part of the bunk bed while the other two sat together on another lower bunk bed, opposite the one man’s bed.
Vixen gaze on then looked cold and unfriendly, he marched up to them looking at them like he was not ready to start a conversation with any of them. Then he walked over to the lower side of the bunk bed that was left.
"Hey, that is my bed," one of the two men harshly spoke to Vixen just before Vixen could lay his head.
Vixen was about considering his words, and standing up before the man who spoke earlier said another word again.
"Newcomers have to know where their place is," the man said harshly, making Vixen lay on his head, he placed his hand below his head looking at the top of the bed relaxing himself.
Since Vixen didn’t take the man’s words seriously, the fifty years old bald-headed man who spoke earlier stood up the bed he sat on, strolling across the space of the room.
His eyes on Vixen giving him some unwelcoming and angry gaze; "Didn’t you just hear what I said?" the man spoke in his baritone voice, staring at Vixen with hatred.
