Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 188: The Demon’s worry
They switched once more. It was unexpected for Sage, but she was relieved that there was no pain felt in their hearts this time. Her smile remained, but it was faint because of the emotionless expression he gave her.
"You should get some rest. It is already dawn." His voice was cold, and he breathed a deep sigh of relief because he didn’t detect fear in her. Not even a smidgeon.
Sage nodded, a faint smile on her lips, and he resumed drying her hair with the towel with extreme focus, which caused Sage to giggle lightly, causing Cyrus to pause.
"Is something amusing?" He inquired slowly.
"There is no difference." She immediately responded, stood up, and took the towel from him. "I think we should sleep together." She told him with zeal.
Sage laughed and wrapped her arms around Cyrus’ neck, raising his brows slightly as he wondered why she wasn’t disappointed by the unexpected switch.
"I am not disappointed, Cyrus; it is not that you abandoned me," She then kissed him on the lips, unwrapped his neck, and moved away to the bed.
He chewed his lower lips as he watched her walk gracefully towards the bed, and the jealousy he was supposed to feel for his normal state at the time vanished like it was blown away by a strong raging wind.
’Does she really believe we are the same person?’ he wondered, and Sage came to a halt, turning to face him.
"I do, I do." She climbed onto the bed, which now had a brand new bedsheet and blanket. Her face flamed up as she remembered what had happened earlier.
Cyrus followed her and observed her as she lay on the bed, covering herself with the blanket. He climbed onto the bed and laid next to her in the blanket, then wrapped his arms around her, her head on his chest.
"You sounded so cheerful." Sage muttered referring when she was hearing his dark state speaking in Cyrus’ normal state’s mind.
"It is extremely dangerous to hear my thoughts about you arrogant parrot, especially in my current state." Cyrus murmured.
"I can handle it." Sage exhaled deeply and sighed deeply. "Lucian..." she sighed deeply.
Her grandfather was the living corpse she always saw in the land of the sea of blood. She was still processing it, and damn! Such repulsive creatures! Jorad and Inkadon were actually controlling her in the land of the sea of blood.
"The statkus mages are not supposed to go to the land of the sea of blood because if they are killed, they are gone, wiped out completely from the existence of any type of life. Jorad and Inkadon are powerful statkus mages who managed to transport themselves to the land of the sea of blood, where they are unfortunately extremely powerful." Cyrus took his time explaining.
Sage swallowed hard. "Does this mean they will still find a way to control Katherine?" Sage inquired, her eyelids feeling heavier.
"Don’t worry, once I bring her memories back, I will break the spell once and for all."
"Thank you..." Sage yawned and snuggled even closer to Cyrus, who was holding her securely. "What brought you here..? To Leimpia?" She inquired once more, her voice low.
"I am afraid I can’t tell you." Cyrus responded right away.
"I will find out." Sage laughed, then yawned again before falling asleep.
Cyrus’ lips twitched. "Is that so?"
The room fell silent once more, and Cyrus soon fell asleep with Sage in his arms. She was his safe haven.
...
Ashton was relaxingly perched on a red plush armchair in the mansion’s sitting room, sipping wine from a crystal glass. His hazel eyes lit up with each sip, and his grip on the seemingly strong crystal glass tightened.
That ice dragon was getting on his nerves! He had always irritated him, but it was getting worse! All three sides of him were annoyingly reckless!
Though he didn’t say much, Ashton saw the soul bond as a curse, especially since it was linked to Cyrus, who was going to kill his wife in the end. Yes! He was confident because it was going to happen!
Everything was going to be ruined by the soul bond! If Sage died, it meant Cyrus would die, and he wasn’t confident that his father would let Cyrus leave easily this time without paying a high price.
Cyrus had been raised by Ashton, and he was more attached to the reckless fool than his mother was. He was proud of himself because he was a terrible influence on Cyrus and he had no regrets. Cyrus was naturally stubborn, so Ashton didn’t have to instill it in him, and he was already ruthless due to his frozen heart and dark state that he was born with.
Nothing has gone as planned since he married the fire mage! Everything was completely out of control! Ashton never pretended to care, even though he did most of the time, but he wasn’t going to stand by and watch Cyrus die.
He drank all of the wine at once, his brow furrowed with concern, and his grip on the crystal wine glass tightened once more. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"I am extremely stressed! At this rate, I might start to get grey hairs!" He said dramatic despite the fact that he could never grow grey hairs. Why him, when his father hadn’t even grown one? "I am lonely as hell." He pursed his lips, his hazel eyes glimmering darkly devoid of emotion.
’Hello, brother,’ A deep mischievous voice echoed in his head, causing him to frown deeply.
"Stop this Rhaziel, it’s strange." Ashton grumbled.
’Come on, I have only done the mind link once, adding this makes it twice.’ Rhaziel teased.
"Get out! I don’t want to talk to you. I miss my righteous lord." Ashton spoke solemnly, and at that precise moment, the crystal glass in his grip cracked and crashed, causing blood to flow out of his hand like a slow-flowing river.
