Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 118: Therapy
"It’s only temporary, Davian. You sustained some fractures in your waist and spine regions, from the accident. But with much medical treatments and therapies, you will be walking again soon," Sentencia managed to continue.
Davian didn’t respond, the other breathing aid was already removed and the pipe type was imputed into his nostrils to assist his breathing, though he could manage to breathe on his own but it was also in case of another hyperventilation episode.
Most patients from ghastly accidents tend to develop this but they slowly recover from it as they recover.
Silvia’s breathing pipes had already been removed long ago and so as the bandage hand on her right hand, but the bandage on her head was still there.
"Where’s my mom now? My... mom’s body," Davian finally spoke.
"In the morgue," obviously.
"When...when can I see her?" he asked further.
"You need to recover first davian-"
"How the f*ck am I supposed to wait for that to happen? When am I going to recover for I to see my mom? For I to lay her to rest?" Davian had interrupted Cia.
"Take it easy, Davian. It’s not impossible, it’s eventually going to happen. I promise to even discharge you once you are able to move just your upper body.
"You will have to be on a wheelchair for some while though, then we will continue the therapies at your house. You might also need to undergo surgery if the need arises," Cia responded.
"Please cooperate Davian, help me so that I can help you recover quickly," Cia added.
"I will take my leave now," Cia excused herself.
The room was quiet after she left. Silvia was just wondering, Davian had hyperventilated when he heard the news of the death of his mom but he hasn’t really mourned much yet.
Not like she was hoping to see that anyway but she also knew that this must have taken a torn on him because his aura had changed.
She could tell he was upset, she can’t imagine how much pain he was currently feeling right now and he must be still trying to digest the news also hoping secretly that it was all not true.
She walked closer to him, she no longer had to carry the drip stand along with her anymore.
"Davian..." she held his arm. "I’m really so sorry for everything and for keeping all these a secret from you. It was what was best for your welfare,"
"Silvia...stop apologizing! I really don’t need your sympathy or pity," he responded and he sounded cold.
"Davian, how can you say something like that? It’s not pity. I’m sincerely just sorry, I can’t tell how much you must be hurting right now-"
"Glad you said it yourself, you can’t tell. Now please, leave me alone. I want to be left alone for some while," he interrupted.
"Why does it seem like you are taking this out on me?" she asked.
"I’m not okay?! Just please, give me some time to think," Davian answered. She nodded and walked away to her own bed, maybe she should just give him the space he needs.
In the next few days, Davian’s therapy sessions started. He was taken to another room not too far from the one he shares with Silvia. All the equipments that will be used for the therapies were in the room.
"Okay, these are james and Grace, they are your therapists and will be in charge of your physical therapy sessions," Sentencia introduced two therapists which was a man and a woman respectively.
Davian and Silvia, who had accompanied Davian to the therapy, exchanged brief greetings with the therapists.
"Okay, you both can take it from here," Cia told and the therapists nodded.
"You know, you are good to go Silvia," Sentencia informed again once Silvia and her were at the door, because Silvia had offered to see her out.
"I know I can be discharged now but I just want to be with Davian till he recovers," Silvia replied. She was really good to go, the bandage on her head had already been removed and she was no longer on the hospital gown but on her casual clothes.
"That will take some while," Cia mentioned and Silvia nodded. Sentencia saw that Silvia’s mind had already been made up, so she decided to just let her be- Davian really does need them at this time.
Sentencia walked out of the room, while Silvia went back to Davian and the therapists.
Davian was placed on another bed though it wasn’t just a bed.
"This bed gadget has an inbuilt vibrator and a mechanism which enables it to move up and down at the upper region. It will help in exercising your backbone and waist," explained the man, James and the gadget was turned on.
It did as elaborated and it was on for a while.
"Do you feel any pain or uneasiness?" asked the female therapist, Grace to Davian- Because he was wincing at some points.
"No, not really. Just a little though, at my waist and lower back," Davian responded.
"Oh I see, glad it’s nothing too serious or severe. We will stop soon as it is the first day of therapy, we don’t want to cause much damage. We will add some pain killing supplements in your medications and I’m sure you will be relieved of the pain soon," James elaborated and Davian nodded.
They truly stopped soon and moved to Davian’s arms. They were connected to another gadget which helped in exercising them by lifting it up and down and also at elbow’s length, making an acute angle.
They returned to their room after the therapy session. Silvia sat on the side of Davian’s bed as she prepares to feed him.
"I’m not really hungry," Davian informed.
"I won’t have that Davian. You have to eat a little, the nurse will be here soon to give you your medication. Please Davian," Silvia pleaded.
Davian then nodded reluctantly.
Silvia started feeding him and he ate just a little. She put everything aside once he had had just enough, but still sat on the bed close to him.
"Are you okay Davian? You know you can always talk to me, you can always share your feelings with me," Silvia inquired.
"Should I be okay?" he responded.
"Davian...I know you are not fine, but don’t bottle it all up. Let it out, you still have me and everyone else, it’s not the end of the world," Silvia told.
"It’s as if you want me or expected me to get over this overnight-"
"No that’s not it," Silvia interrupted.
"I’m not okay, okay?! I just can’t...I can’t just believe that she is gone. It’s all my fault!" Davian started to let it all out and he actually teared up in anguish.
She hugged him.
"Stop saying that, it’s not your fault," she hates seeing him in pain.
"Because you are a man doesn’t mean you should bottle it all in. You are still a person, you have a right to cry out your heart and share the pain. I’m willing to carry it with you," Silvia continued.
Hearing those words, Davian couldn’t help but lean on her as he cried his pain away- He wished it was enough to relieve him and take the pain away. His teeth clenched and he wished he could just punch the wall or something.
Silvia patted and rubbed on his back as she cried as well. They remained in that position for a long while.
Ray, Sarah, Becca and Lucas came to see him later that day.
"Hey dude. Man, I’m so sorry for dropping the news like that on you that day. I technically almost killed you, I’m really sincerely sorry," Lucas apologized.
"It’s okay, dick!" Davian replied and everyone shared a brief laughter.
"How are you feeling now?" Becca inquired holding his hand.
"I’m fine," Davian responded.
"Get better soon, okay?" she continued and he nodded. Her eyes went up from him to meet Silvia’s.
’Who knows?’ Silvia thought, Becca might be responsible for what happened. The perpetrator was initially after her but coincidentally, Davian and his mother had to be collateral damage.
The whole thing led to Mrs Elizabeth’s death and therefore, the perpetrator must pay for it regardless of who they are.

Detective John came to see them the following day.
"Hello Mr. Davian, Mrs Silvia," he greeted them and the couple returned the greetings.
"So how is the investigation going detective?" Davian was the one who asked.
"Well, our facial recognition team carried out some analysis on the footage of the hooded man and after much attempts, we were able to arrive at the nearest possible facial looks with an identity," John informed.
"Please take a look at this picture and tell me if the man in it looks familiar to you," John continued and he gave his tablet to the couple who took a look at the picture with bated breaths of anticipation.
