Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 131: The tables have truly turned
Leah was brought in for questioning.
As she entered the police station in company with the police that had gone to arrest her from her home, Silvia marched towards her and a slap was soon heard.
"Why would you? Do you know how much pain you have caused Davian and I? And to think you even had the audacity to show up at the hospital multiple times and at the wake and the funeral and even the remembrance...(Scoffs) You have no conscience!" Silvia questioned, she has always had the suspicion and it actually turned out to be Leah.
Leah’s eyes met Davian’s, "I didn’t do it,"
"Yeah right, because every random guy would just say your name out of the blue?" Silvia responded.
"I didn’t do it! They are trying to frame me. Davian? Don’t tell me you believe them?" Leah inquired but Davian didn’t respond.
"Don’t tell me you believe this crap?! For all we know, someone who knows us is trying to set me up for the crime," Leah continued.
"I hope so Leah. I hope so," Davian replied.
Leah was taken to the interrogation room for questioning. Detective John soon came out of the room.
"She refused to say anything more until her lawyer arrives," he informed Davian and Silvia, who were waiting outside the room.
"What?" Silvia angrily barged into the room, Davian and John followed in.
Silvia slapped Leah again and grabbed her by the collar.
"If you know what’s good for you, you better start confessing," Silvia told.
"If I were you Mrs Silvia, I would let go of my client or else we will sue you for assault and duress," Leah’s lawyer finally walked in.
Silvia reluctantly let go of Leah, but not because she felt threatened.
"You all have no tangible evidence to bring my client into questioning. All you have is just the statement of a criminal who might have been paid to tarnish Ms. Leah’s name and just his statement, isn’t tangible enough," the lawyer continued.
"Bring Mr. Steinem in," John instructed his comrades and Mr. Steinem was brought in soon.
"Go ahead Mr. Steinem," John ordered.
"W-Well, I have a voice recording of Ms. Leah giving me the orders to tamper with Mrs Silvia’s car. I always secretly record my clients in case of situations like this.
"Because this happened to me years ago and my client denied of having anything to do with me and I went down alone. So I started recording my clients after I resumed my operations," Mr. Steinem informed.
"Well, not still good enough. For all we know, you might have edited the voice recording to match that if Ms. Leah’s," the lawyer objected.
"Okay. But what about the call histories we have on Ms. Leah, call history between Mr. Steinem and her and even text messages from Ms. Leah to Mr. Steinem. Some even photos of Mrs Silvia’s cars," John pointed out.
Leah and her lawyer were silent as they stared intensly at everyone else.
The tables have truly turned.

Leonard just returned from work. He noticed that Olivia wasn’t home yet from the bookstore. He then went upstairs to go freshen up.
When he was done, he went downstairs.
"Olivia isn’t back yet?" he asked the housekeeper.
"Not yet sir," she replied.
"I see," Leo replied, a little worried now. What was she still doing there? He was told that the car used in bringing her home, has been out for long now.
"Would you like me to serve you dinner sir?" the housekeeper continued.
"No, I will have dinner once she returns," Leo told.
He started to dial her number.
{///The number you are calling is currently unavailable. Please try again later#///}
Unavailable?
Leo tried it one more time.
{///The number you are calling is currently switched off. Please try again later#///}
Now Leo was worried, he called up the driver but his line was also switched off.
Seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hours until it was finally really late.
"She can’t possibly be at her friends’," Leo soliloquized. If she was, why was the driver’s phone also switched off?
Zane soon arrived at the villa. Just when he was about to enjoy his evening, this workaholic man had to call him up.
When he entered, he saw a worried Leo pacing to and fro.
"What is it?" Zane inquired.
"Olivia has gone missing," he announced.
"What? When? How?" Zane asked.
"It’s almost pass nine but she hasn’t returned from the bookstore. Her phone is switched off, the driver’s phone is switched off as well and I was told he left quite early to pick her up. What do I do Zane? I’m going nuts," Leo complained.
’What do you do?’ Zane thought. He can’t believe this know-it-all man was seriously asking him that question. Leo really looked worried and disoriented.
"Well we can’t really call the cops right now. A person isn’t really declared missing until twenty four hours. Have you called Mrs Laura?" Zane asked.
"No, let me call her," Leo replied and started to search through his contacts on his phone.
"Damn!" he exclaimed after some while.
"What?" Zane questioned.
"I don’t have her number," Leo responded.
"What?" Zane felt like face palming himself.
"Okay. Just call your mom up to collect the number from her-"
"Wait wait wait..." Leo stared intensly at his phone’s screen.
"What?" Zane asked once again.
"I just received a text from Olivia," Leo informed.
"Well," Zane uttered.
"Come to the roof of the Yuls’ old manor tomorrow by noon. Come alone, no cops, unless you don’t want to see your wife and unborn child again," Leo read.
"Man..." Zane voiced.
"Zane," Leo started. Zane couldn’t believe what he was seeing, Leo looked like he was going to break down into tears.
"Take it easy bro. Your family’s old house, okay. We can secretly bring the cops along-"
"No! I won’t endanger Olivia’s life. I will go alone," Leo declared.
"Let me go with you. Please?" Zane pleaded and Leo just nodded.
Leo couldn’t believe this was happening.
...
The next day by noon, Zane and Leo had already arrived at the Yuls’ old manor, which was a little far away from Central city.
They really didn’t bring along any cops and they also didn’t inform anyone else of the issue, they didn’t want anyone to worry just yet.
Leo just couldn’t wait to get to the top of the roof of the house he had spend his childhood in. He was even running at some point and they were soon at the roof.
"I told you to come alone Leo,"
"Gabriel," Leo couldn’t believe his eyes. He should have saw this coming.
"Hello brother, lovely to see you up here and...Zane. You just had to follow like the obedient pest you are. (Sighs) I guess I will have to kill you as well," Gabriel replied.
"Refreshing, isn’t it?" Gabriel continued. Olivia was in his hands, one of his hands covered her mouth.
Leo could clearly see the tears in her eyes. "OLIVIA?!"
"Nah ah ah, don’t come any closer," Gabriel told, when Leo approached. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
He was currently at the very edge of the building with Olivia.
"Don’t do anything stupid Gabriel," Leo warned.
"Stupid you say?" Gabriel replied.
"All my life, I have been living in your shadow and it has finally come to me that we both just can’t coexist. So right now, right here, I’m going to end you," Gabriel added, bringing out a gun.
"Gabriel, leave Olivia out of this. I am the one you have a problem with not her," Leo pleaded and he started to approach Gabriel slowly, as Gabriel continued to monologue.
"Well yes but Olivia did make a fool out of me, so I’m apparently going to kill her as well," Gabriel replied.
"She is pregnant Gabriel, please?!" Leo begged.
"Wow, what is this? You know, I never knew you were capable of begging. I never thought this plan would work because you despise Olivia for what she did to you.
"And I never expected Olivia to play me for a fool, I thought you both hated each other. But it turns out that you both were already secretly attached to each other," Gabriel elaborated.
"Well, your baby is another thing. I don’t want someone to take revenge on me one day. So," Gabriel shrugged.
"Gabriel please," Leo pleaded.
"I will kill you with this gun in my hand and push your wife off the roof," Gabriel informed but Leo had already gotten to him and he knocked the gun off Gabriel’s hand.
But before everyone knew it, Gabriel and Olivia were somehow off the roof as they both fell. It happened so fast for any of them to have seen exactly how it happened.
It’s either Gabriel had slipped off the roof with Olivia or unintentionally fell along with her when he pushed her.
"OLIVIA?!" Leo exclaims as he rushed towards the edge of the roof.
...
