Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 45: Just jump [Flashback]
It was a horrible experience.
The incident was what led to the enmity between the Reyes and the Shipmans who used to be close family friends and business allies. The Shipmans blames the Reyes for the incident, especially Alan Reyes.
It was even worse as the culprits responsible weren’t able to be arrested and so they got away with it. The Shipmans sued Alan but the case was eventually dropped because there wasn’t any substantial evidence against him.
Alan Reyes got involved in some shady deals with the syndicates and after going against them. They threatened his life and that of his family’s.
He was trapped deeper than he had imagined and not until Silvia became the CEO of Reyes’ Corp. was she able to strategically free themselves completely from any relationship with the mafias.
Despite the irresistable offer of her family becoming the most powerful mafia family and syndicate group in the country, Navarro. Silvia just didn’t want anything to do with the same people that had kidnapped her.
They were heading back home from school. Silvia, Cia and Olivia all went to the same school. They were in highschool back then and only went to different colleges, Silvia even went abroad for hers.
Both Silvia and Olivia were sixteen years old back then while Cia was a year older.
Sentencia’s parents had already passed away then and so she was in the care of the Reyes who took her in as she had no other family and that was why Silvia and her were more like sisters.
Olivia had followed them that day in the Reyes’ SUV because they were all doing a project together and decided to go to the Reyes’ mansion together to get it started.
They were attacked by some masked men who drove two cars. They’d shot their driver at that time, dead.
"Yes, that’s her. Silvia Reyes," one of the men pointed at Silvia.
"Okay, take her," another one who seemed to be in charge of the kidnapping mission, ordered.
"No, leave her alone," Cia held Silvia back as the men attempted to grab her.
"Let me go!" Silvia cried as the men grabbed her and carried her out of the car away to theirs. Silvia continued to thrash at the men as they carried her, they put a handkerchief over her face and blindfolded her after she passed out.
"On second thoughts, take the other girls too," the man in charge ordered.
"What?! No! Let me go! Let us go,"
"Let go of me! Let go!"
Cia and Olivia thrashed as well and were soon made unconscious and blindfolded like Silvia.
"Let’s go!" the man in charge said and they all entered the two cars and drove off.
"But boss..." the second in command of the mission trailed off as he stared intently at the one in charge.
"What?!" the man responded curtly.
"The other two girls weren’t our mission, we were instructed to kidnap just Silvia Reyes," the other man stated.
"What do you know? You don’t know anything about this business, the more the rich abductees, the higher the amount of ransom we’ll get. I’ve been in this business longer than you have and I’m sure the boss is going to like what I did," the man replied.
"But what if he doesn’t?" the other asked.
"I’m sure he will, he always loves the way I cease opportunities when I see one. This one over here..." he trails off as he points at Olivia.
"Is the daughter of the Shipmans," he continued.
"While this one (Points at Cia) is currently the Reyes’ ward. Paying ten million for each shouldn’t be a problem," he added and began to laugh. The other men in the car soon joined him, sharing in his laughter.
"I kinda love the way you think," the other responded.
During the whole kidnap experience, the men never did anything to harm them but it wasn’t so pleasant being tied up and blindfolded. Not to talk of the hunger and thirst they had to endure as they had refused to eat or drink anything given to them.
It was hard to sleep as they were always tensed and on their guards. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
It seemed Olivia was the first to go as her parents had already paid the ransom. But Silvia’s father, Alan. He was as cocky and as sly as a fox. He involved the authorities even though he was clearly warned not to.
It was risky but he still did, he didn’t want those syndicate to get a taste of his beloved twenty million.
He tricked the syndicate group in charge of the kidnap, that he was ready to pay the ransom only to raid them with the help of the authorities.
That day Silvia and Cia were no longer tied up or blindfolded and they were kept in a particular room until two of the hefty goons burst into the room making the girls to flinch.
"Your father has some guts, really? He set us up, he thinks he can outsmart us but no..." one of the goons trails off as he laughs sardonically, a sadistic gleam in his eyes.
"So to make him pay we’re going to set his beloved girls ablaze in flames," the goon grinned at them.
"No, you can’t do that!" Cia objected standing up from the bed they had been sitting on.
"Of course we can. The house is already on fire, if not that the authorities are close by we would have stayed to watch. But enjoy," the goons laughed and walked out of the room locking the door.
Cia began to hit the door yelling at the top of her lungs for the men to let them out.
"It’s pointless. They must be gone by now-" Silvia was interrupted as the ceiling began to fall down at them as the fire consumed the house.
"We are going to die," Silvia added and stood up. Tears rolled down her cheeks, Cia walked up to her and held her cheeks.
"Silvia, listen to me. We are not going to die. We have so many dreams to fulfill we can’t die just yet. We don’t even have dates to the dance yet," Cia said and Silvia forced a smile in between tears.
"So we won’t die!" Cia said and walked over to the balcony of the room. It was just a floor away from the ground below.
"Silvia come here," Cia beckoned on her and so she moved closer.
"Don’t tell me it’s what I’m thinking-"
"We’re going to jump off this floor and get away from here before the building burns down," Cia cuts Silvia off. Silvia shook her head.
"No, I can’t do this. I can’t do it," Silvia uttered.
"Yes, you can. You have to if you want to get out of here alive!" Cia responded but Silvia continued to shake her head in disagreement.
"We can do it. It’s just one floor away, it isn’t that high and we won’t get hurt if we jump off properly," Cia persuaded her.
"See, just follow my move. Do what I do," Cia added and she started to climb off the balcony until she was at the other side holding the brick railing of the balcony firmly.
"C’mon!" Cia said to Silvia, who swallowed as she held the railing. She wasn’t really scared of heights but she doesn’t know why today was different.
She finally turned to the other side like Cia.
"Okay, let’s jump," Cia nodded at her and she was the first to jump.
"Ouch!" Cia winced in pain as she bruised her hands and knees.
"Are you okay?" Silvia asked.
Sentencia managed to stand up and gave a thumbs up to Silvia even though her face said otherwise.
"I’m alright, jump already!" Cia urged.
Silvia tried to jump but she couldn’t, she hugged the railing with everything she got as she sobbed.
"I can’t do it Sentencia, I can’t do it," Silvia sobbed.
"Yes, you can. As you can see I’m fine, it’s not that high just jump, it’s just one floor," Cia replied. But to Silvia, it seemed and felt like ten floors high and the fire wasn’t helping matters, instead it was distracting her the more as she cried.
"Silvia!!!" Cia yelled as the room finally made a heavy blast, the intensity of it spread to the balcony and it sent Silvia away forcefully making her to let go. Her body hit the ground.
"Silvia...Silvia...Silvia?!!!" Cia’s voice slowly began to become indistinct and her face was the last thing Silvia saw before she surrendered to the darkness.

...Present day...
"Where are you guys taking me to?!" a man’s voice echoed in the warehouse as two hefty men dragged him in. A black clothe bag was used to cover his face.
"Hey tell me huh? Who paid you?! I will pay you double no...triple, just let me go!" the man continued to plead but no one answered him.
"You guys think you can get away with this, I’ll kill you all! You think I’m an ordinary person in this city, people are going to look for me and when I get out of here, I’m going to kill you and whoever hired you, you scums-Let me go!" the man continued to struggle then the clothe bag was forcefully removed from his head.
"I really forgot how annoying and braggadocio you can be, Gabriel Yul," the woman who removed the clothe bag said.
Gabriel’s eyes widened.
"S-Silvia..."
