Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 77: Rooftop
She slowly opened the door to the rooftop of the hospital. Her eyes immediately went to the ground and there were small candles lined up and it all led to a table well arranged with two chairs and standing close to it was...
Logan Preston.
Cia felt an instant migraine go to her temple at just the sight of him. He just stood there with a bouquet of flowers in his hands and an annoying smirk on his pretty face.
She marched towards him; "Who authorized this?!"
She knew Silvia was busy and she just returned from her trip with Davian and even if any of that didn’t happen, she would never allow this man to set a dinner date at her hospital’s rooftop.
"I have my ways," he replied with a smug smile.
"You could be sued for this!" she added.
"How did you even get pass the security men?!" her head was throbbing due to the different questions she had.
"Sssh," he shushed her and put the flowers in her hand.
"Stop the questions and let’s just enjoy our first date. This should be the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for you, right?" he continued.
"I never agreed to your offer yet!" she fumed
"Well I was becoming impatient, so I brought the offer to you. It’s part of wooing you to fall for me," he replied.
"You can’t force me to go out with you," she stated.
"I’m not forcing you to go out with me. I’m just wooing you, this doesn’t mean we are going out, does it?" he grinned, he was bubbling with anger within.
Why was she trying so hard to get? She should be grateful, should feel lucky?
She turned to leave but he grabbed her arm, "Hey, I’m sorry. I won’t do it again without authorization but I spent a lot of time setting all these up. If you don’t want to do it for me, do it for Sei and Josh," he pleaded and she creased her brows wondering who those are.
He lifted his hands up, "My hands, pity them," he said and his heart surprisingly skipped a beat when she burst into laughter. Her laughter rang like sweet melody to his ears.
Why did his heart do that just now? Maybe it was out of embarrassment, no one has laughed at him like this. He should feel mocked but...he didn’t.
"Your hands have names? Tell me you are just kidding me?" her laughter slowed down into soft chuckles.
She then moved towards one of the chairs and sat, he smirked.
"I’m just doing this because I sympathize with Sei and Josh and also because I’m tired and hungry. I might not be able to cook when I get home and just eat junk food, so why not eat this," she shrugged and he sat as well.
"I hope it isn’t poisoned?" she reasoned.
"Would I tell you if it really is?" he grinned mischievously and she just stared alertly at him.
He laughed, "You are so funny Sentencia. Why would I want to kill the woman I’m infatuated with?"
His words echoed in her mind ’Infatuated with’ her face slowly turned beet red at his words. She really doesn’t know what to say or how to react.
"You barely know me? Why do you claim to be infatuated by me?" she asked.
He leaned forward; "Haven’t you heard of love at first sight?"
She blinked at him, was that enough for him to go this far just for her? She has to be a little wary of him, he might have some hidden agenda.
"Let’s eat," he said and dished out some food for them.
"So you know Fi?" she inquired again, half way between their meal.
"Yes," he replied.
"Are you friends with him?" she added.
"Used to be. Fell out of acquaintance with that back stabbing scumbag," he answered so serious on his choice of words when speaking about Fi.
"I don’t think he is like that," she responded.
"How long have you known him?" he questioned.
"Not for long-"
"Good. You don’t know him like I do, that man is ruthless. He can do anything to get what he wants. I would be wary of him if I were you," he interrupted.
"Are you any different?" she asked.
"Absolutely!" he replied.
"You said you were friends. So, what kind of people are you guys?" she inquired, knowing deep down he wouldn’t exactly tell her the truth.
"We are normal business men with lots of enemies and that’s why we need protection," he answered having hints that she must be suspicious of the kind of people they were.
Why don’t he just tell her who Fi was? It might jeopardize their relationship. But it might also expose himself to Cia.
She nodded at his answer.
"Are we seriously going to talk about him during our date?" he tried to change the topic.
"I’m sorry," she replied.
"Let’s talk about us. You first?" he continued.
"There’s really nothing much to talk about me," she responded.
They continued their dinner date as they talked about random things.
After they finished eating, he offered to take her home. She refused saying she brought her own car, she was just too cautious to not let another stranger know where she lives.
When she arrived home, her phone beeped. She checked it, it was a text message.
’Two more dates to go, doc. Get ready,’
She smiled but the thought of how he got her number immediately hit her. She shook her head, that sly fox must have slipped his number into her phone and called himself to get her number when she wasn’t looking.
He was a fun company though narcissistic but she wouldn’t trust him just yet.

Silvia began to wake up immediately the rays of light touched her eyes.
"Morning princess," Davian said. He was the one that just opened the curtains and window blinds that sent the morning light in.
She sat up on hearing his voice; "Are you going out?" she asked as he was all dressed up.
"Yes, to work," he answered.
"On a saturday?!" she replied.
"Yes, princess. Things are really hectic at work so I have to work overtime and on the weekends but I know we’ll be less busy in the next couple of weeks," he explained.
He moved over and pecked her on the cheek, "Bye, I’m off," she grabbed his arm.
"Try to come home early for dinner tonight. I want to prepare my first meal for you," she requested and he smiled.
"I wouldn’t miss it for anything in the world." he ended and kissed her forehead, his lips lingered there as he planted a meaningful kiss.
"Bye," he added.
"Bye," she replied and he walked out of the room. She was so excited for tonight, she didn’t know she would be one day so excited to cook for someone. Well, long ago she thought she wasn’t capable of falling in love.
She’d made time to prepare and practice, learning from both the cook, Myne and from online. Today, she was just going to make something simple but she was still excited to see him taste it.
On the other hand, Olivia was taking a walk at the garden of the villa. She had only discovered the villa had such a beautiful garden days ago, she didn’t think Leo to be a garden person.
Ever since, she had taken it to be an habit to just walk around.
She began to hear voices as she walked closer to the outdoor basketball court of the villa. Her eyes finally caught sight of Leo and his secretary, Zane. She thought Leo had left.
’So they just decided to play basketball,’ she thought as she held the metal net fence of the basketball court.
Her eyes were so focused on them as they played so skillfully. Zane finally acknowledged her presence.
"Mrs Olivia," he called, as he stopped playing trying to catch his breath in between. Leo also turned to face her and their eyes met. She decided to walk in, she was on a short sleeve top and black trousers that hugged her curves, her black hair in a ponytail.
"Olivia would do please," she said to Zane, who nodded.
Her eyes went to Leo who asked; "What were you doing over there?"
"Watching obviously but I was just taking a walk initially," she replied.
"Want to join us, Olivia?" Zane asked and was immediately poked at the abdomen by Leo’s elbow.
"She can’t, I don’t think she can play anyways and even if she can, she’s pregnant!" Leo objected coldly immediately at the idea.
"I can play. I am pregnant but a little exercise wouldn’t hurt," she replied collecting the basketball from Zane, she bounced it on the ground then swiped it from one hand to another in a dribbling attempt.
"Alright!" Zane responded in high spirits when she agreed. Even though she forced herself to be married to Leonard, he thinks she’s a pretty cool person from his observations and was suspecting there was more to the issue.
Leo tsk, "Try to keep up because we won’t go easy on you," he swiftly dribbled the ball out of her grasp.
They started playing and Olivia showed some potentials, it was because she had had a few practice back then in college. She was even able to get the ball out of Leo’s hands once and after some minutes they had all scored points with Leo leading and she following.
"Wow, Olivia. I never expected you to be that good," Zane breath and she smiled, her hands went to her knees as she bends trying to catch all breath.
She felt dizzy.
"Are you okay?" she heard Zane ask.
"Yes..." she managed to say but was on the ground in the next second.
"OLIVIA?!"
...
