Marrying My Father's Enemy-Chapter 137: **Desires**
Chapter 137: **Desires**
Chapter 137: *** Desires...***
"Why did you leave me?" Eira’s voice was quiet.
Her blue eyes locked on Callian’s, searching for answers, for truths he wasn’t ready to share.
Callian tensed, turning away from her.
The firelight flickered over his sharp features, his jaw tight as he struggled to form a response.
He couldn’t tell her the real reason—not yet.
Not when her life was still in danger.
"I was confused," he finally said. "I didn’t know how to handle it—all of it. You, the baby... I was scared, Eira."
Eira blinked at him, stunned.
For a moment, she thought she was talking to a different person. Callian—scared?
The man who faced danger with a smirk and a strong hand, claiming fear now?
She knew him too well, and the lie in his voice only made her stomach turn upside down.
"You were scared?" she repeated, not believing him. "You, Callian, the fearless one?"
Callian looked at her, gently... his brown eyes seemed pleading, though he said nothing.
Eira’s lips pressed into a thin line, but she didn’t press further.
Something was different about him—his hesitation, the shadows in his eyes. Whatever he wasn’t saying, it was more than fear or confusion.
But if he didn’t want to tell her, she wouldn’t force it.
Silence stretched between them. Eira turned away, folding her arms across her chest. She hated how vulnerable she felt now.
She swallowed it down.
Eira wanted to push him, to demand answers, but a deeper part of her hesitated.
Callian wasn’t telling her everything—that much was clear—but something about his avoidance felt like protection.
And despite everything, she didn’t want to shatter whatever fragile truce was forming between them.
Instead, she crossed the room.
"I tried to move on, you know," she said a little softer now, almost wistful. "Tried to convince myself I didn’t need you. That I could do this on my own."
Callian stiffened, his hands clenched at his sides.
"But I couldn’t stop missing you," Eira admitted, looking through the window.
He looked at her then, really looked at her, and the intensity in his eyes sent a shiver down her spine.
For a moment, neither of them spoke, the air between them charged with invisible butterflies that explained both of their emotions.
Callian was missing her like she was a dead person, not being able to let go of her soul. She was like a spine to the human’s body, to keep him straight and help to support him.
Callian looked at Eira like a dog looked at its bone...Protective, selfish, and angry if anyone tried to touch it or get close to it.
Before she could think better of it, she stepped closer, her hand reached for his.
Her fingers brushed against his palm, tentative at first, but when he didn’t pull away, she entwined their hands together.
"Eira," he murmured in a hoarse voice.
She ignored the warning in his tone.
Instead, she lifted her free hand to his face, her fingers grazing the rough stubble on his jaw.
His eyes fluttered shut at her touch, and when he opened them again, they were filled with longing and something deeper—something that made her heart ache.
"I’m so tired of fighting this," she said, almost trembling. "Tired of pretending I don’t feel anything when you’re near."
She leaned in, and before either of them could second-guess it, her lips met his.
The kiss was soft at first, tentative, like a question waiting to be answered.
But when Callian’s arms wrapped around her, pulling her closer, it deepened, the hesitation melted away.
His hands slid to the small of her back, holding her as if he was afraid to let go.
Eira felt herself leaning into him, her fingers tangling in his hair.
His scent, his warmth, everything about him was intoxicating, and for a moment, nothing else mattered.
The world outside, their complicated past, even the life growing inside her—it all faded into the background.
When they finally pulled apart, their breaths mingled in the quiet space between them, Eira rested her forehead against his.
"You’re still not telling me the truth," she said softly. "But I’ll wait. For tonight, I’ll let it go."
Callian’s hands tightened around her, and she could feel the tension in his body, the harsh reality he held back.
"Thank you," he whispered.
They stayed like that for a long moment, wrapped in each other’s arms as the soft glow of the Christmas tree bathed the room in golden light.
The snow fell gently outside, blanketing the city in silence.
Eira closed her eyes, letting herself get lost in the moment, even as a small voice in the back of her mind reminded her that the peace wouldn’t last.
But for now, she held onto him, held onto the fleeting warmth, and hoped it would be enough.
"Let me touch you tonight..."
Eira turned around, "touch me how?" She raised her eyebrow.
"Let me put another baby in you," Callian smiled.
Eira hesitated for a moment, but then Callian pressed his forehead against hers, "please..."
Eira let out a long sigh, but not because she was tired or annoyed, it was because she wanted it too.
She started unbuttoning her pyjamas, and her bra, "You can take that as a yes..."
Callian’s smile grew, and he pulled her close, kissing her, and running his hand down her waist, stopping when he reached her underwear.
He tugged on them and pulled them off before lifting her onto his hips, she wrapped her legs around him and let him carry her to their bed.
He lay her down gently and crawled over her, kissing her neck and running his hands over her breasts.
Eira felt Callian’s lips trail down her body and she shuddered, his touch was cold but she loved the sensation.
Callian’s finger brushed over Eira’s clit and she inhaled sharply.
"Eira..." He moaned her name like a dog who missed its master.
He kissed her inner thigh and looked up at her with his beautiful night eyes before his tongue flicked against her clit and she closed her eyes, letting out a low moan..."yes..."
Callian’s tongue moved slowly against Eira’s clit and one of his hands moved up to her breast.
She ran her fingers through his hair, feeling the warmth of his breath between her legs, his fingers rubbed her nipple as his tongue slid against her.
"Mmm..." she breathed, opening her eyes and looking down at him. He smiled back, his lips and chin wet, and kissed her clit again, moving his hand back down to her opening.
He teased his fingers there, and Eira’s breathing deepened, her hips rocking slightly as he slid two fingers inside her.
He kept his eyes locked on her as his mouth and tongue worked, his fingers moved slowly in and out.
"Mm..." Eira moaned again, closing her eyes as she felt Callian’s breath quicken.
"I want to fuck you like there’s no tomorrow..."
