"G-god damn it… I told you…"

Adam backed away from Michael.

But in that moment.

Michael turned around to look at him, and his cold eyes made Adam freeze like a deer in the headlights.

Those eyes… were similar.

It was just like that night in the motel.

"…L-Long time no see, aye?"

Adam's voice trembled.

"…I don't even know who the fuck you are."

Michael said coldly and slowly approached him.

"Haha… I didn't even leave an impression, huh? Well…"

Adam mulled over, but then he gritted his teeth and, with a scream, lunged at Michael, screaming, "I won't die so easily!"

Michael thrust his hand through Adam's chest and pulled out his heart—the heart was still beating in his hand.

"Ignorant."

He said coldly.

With a gasp, Adam collapsed to the ground, his body lifeless.

'That's definitely Satan. Also known as the Heart Stealer. And that is the literal title… He literally steals hearts of the mortals.'

Bael said.

'Is he stronger than you?'

Kiernan asked.

'No, but he has possessed Michael's body. You can maybe give me control of your body… What do you say?'

Bael asked sneakily.

'Not happening.'

Kiernan rolled his eyes.

'Why aren't you trusting me? After everything we've gone through!'

Bael said with a "hurtful" tone.

'I don't need anybody's heart. Satan or not. I will still destroy him.'

Kiernan thought.

In that moment, he watched as "Michael" walked away—completely ignoring Samuel and Isaac, who were shouting after him.

"Michael, where are you going?!"

"Aren't we working together?!"

Samuel and Isaac shouted.

"I'd suggest to go hiding. This level of battle is too much for the two of you. Just take a step back, and let us handle this."

Kiernan said, and he also walked towards the heart of the battle.

Samuel and Isaac exchanged a gaze, and they quickly retreated away from the battle—which had become very bloody.

"Ahhhh!"

The people screamed.

In the middle of the screaming people, Erik was standing on top of three corpses, and his hands were dripping with fresh blood.

"Y-You monster!"

People around him screamed.

"Hmph!"

Erik whipped his leg across the ground and sliced through the air like a blade—the people who were hit by the kick felt their bodies crack like twigs.

"Hah!"

Erik jumped towards a group and just punched through them with a force that sent them flying in all directions.

In that moment.

He came across a graceful-looking woman, but he didn't care that she was a woman and just punched towards her as well.

"What a distasteful man…"

Xiao Jue floated backward like a flying leaf and avoided the punch with grace and elegance.

"Hmph!"

Erik punched towards her repeatedly, and she touched the flying fists for just a fraction of a second, but she was able to stop the momentum of each punch.

'She is able to redirect the force of my punches elsewhere!'

Erik frowned.

In that moment.

Xiao Jue clawed at him, and he pulled his head back, but one of her long fingers grazed across his cheek.

"Are the two of you having a divorce or what? Hahahaha."

At that moment, another man came over, and it was Judas—the hitman for one of the most infamous mafias in the world.

He was with his group, who were all bloodied, as they had already seen their fair share of fighting.

"…"

Erik looked at him coldly.

"More disgusting men. I'll kill all of you."

Xiao Jue said.

"You need that little boy band of yours to fight me? How pathetic of you, Judas. You're not the same man as you were three years ago."

Erik said coldly.

"Hahaha…"

Judas grinned.

They met three years ago during one of Judas' missions, and he ended up fighting Erik for a while.

It was one of the hardest fights of his life.

That fight made him push harder than ever before for the past three years, and he had been thirsting for rematch.

"Our fight last time ended in a draw… I do like to end it now."

Judas said with a smile.

"Draw? Keep dreaming. I could've killed you whenever I wanted."

Erik said coldly.

"Let's do this, Judas. Let's kill these two fuckers!"

His group shouted.

"Haah…"

Judas scratched the back of his hand, and at that moment, he spun towards his companions and swung his hands.

"Ah…"

They all froze, and they felt something weird, and at that moment, they all fell down to the ground—dead as the leaves on a tree in autumn.

"I had been planning to kill them for a while now. I have no need for weaklings anymore. I also knew they were planning to kill me.

"They had been plotting to backstab me once it was a good time, and I didn't want to wait till that moment.

"Also… I want to kill you by myself."

Judas turned to Erik with a smirk.

Erik's eyes squinted, and he stepped forward, but as soon as he took that one step, Judas lunged at him.

Judas thrust his hand towards Erik's chest—planning to stab his hand into his heart—but Erik suddenly caught his hand.

"You didn't think it was going to be that easy, right?"

Erik asked.

"…"

Judas smirked.

In that moment, they both heard the fluttering of a cloak, and from the corner of their eyes, they saw Xiao Jue.

She twirled towards them, and kicked both of them in the chest simultaneously—they were sent flying backwards.

"Stay away from this!"

Judas growled after landing back on the ground.

"No."

Xiao Jue flipped her hair back.

The three of them looked at each other, and then they clashed in a fierce battle, and the level of battle was so high that everybody stayed away.

Elsewhere.

"Ah… Ah…"

Ingram lay alongside several corpses, trembling in fear, afraid to stand up.

He was part of one of the weaker groups, who just got annihilated by Judas' group, and he barely survived.

He got hit hard at the back of the head, so they must've thought they killed him, but he survived because of one thing.

His amazingly tough skull that he had been hardening for three decades already by constantly hitting his head into walls.

It was the only thing that kept him alive.

'I-I can't survive…'

Ingram teared up and carefully opened his eyes and tried to look around him, but what he saw made his blood run cold.

Everywhere were corpses, and people were constantly dying.

It was much fewer fighters left anymore, and probably less than twenty already—that all was accomplished in just a couple of minutes.

[56:22…]

[56:21…]

It was still 56 minutes before the antidote flooded the room, but it looked like the number of fighters would be easily reduced to 10 or less before that time.

"That monster is there…"

Ingram gulped.

He saw Judas fighting against some graceful-looking woman and strong-looking man, and they were giving him a hard fight.

'There are other people that can fight on equal terms against that monster?'

"…Which ant might you be?"

In that moment, a voice came from behind him, and Ingram turned around with his eyes wide open in fear.

He saw a rather ordinary-looking man—not that tall, not that handsome, not that muscular—just very average-looking.

Michael looked at him coldly.

"W-What? You want to fight? I-I'll kill you!"

Ingram put his fists ready.

Those fists were just decoy as he was planning to headbutt him, and crush his skull with that—nobody could survive against his headbutt.

He was the owner of the hardest skull in the entire world—and it was pretty much as strong as steel!

"You have a strong heart… It beats hard and strong…"

Michael pushed his hand through Ingram's chest—even though he tried struggling—and he pulled the heart out.

"W-what…"

Ingram collapsed on the ground.

Michael looked at the heart, then stored it away, and looked towards the battle happening in the distance.

"More stronger hearts…"

He took a step, but in that moment he stopped, and looked to the left—there was someone standing there.

He was looking over to him.

"Very strong heart."

Michael squinted his eyes.

'Not him. Not yet. That guy is part of my group, remember?'

In that moment, a voice inside him said.

"Tch, why would it matter, Michael? They all have to die either way."

Satan said angrily.

'Just don't yet!'

Michael shouted inside his mind.

"Fine…"

Michael ignored Kiernan and started walking over to Judas, Erik, and Xiao Jue—but then he felt something strange.

"Hmm?"

Satan stopped and looked back at Kiernan, and he sniffed something—a familiar scent that he couldn't shake away.

"What demon you carry?"

Satan asked.

"…Bael."

Kiernan said.

"…"

Satan stayed quiet, and turned around with a slightly… pale face… and kept walking away with some hurry in his steps.

'Wait, he also has a demon?'

Michael asked in shock.

"Not just any demon… Bael. My big brother."

Satan said with even little bit fear in his voice, and he could only curse at his shitty luck that he was having.

Out of all places!

What the hell was the luck that Bael's host happened to be in Earth out of all realms. And in this tournament as well!

The chance for that was astronomically low!

'Y-You can defeat him right?'

"Luckily it doesn't look like Bael has possessed him… I don't know why, honestly… If it's just him, sure, but I am not sure whether Bael lets his host die.

"Maybe he simply doesn't care and will just go find another host."
