Marvel: My Sign-in System-Chapter 320 - 309
Chapter 320 - 309
To create an artifact, the core material must be melted at a sufficient temperature and poured into a mold. During this process, rune inscriptions must be engraved into the material to enchant it.
The process may seem simple, but every step must be executed flawlessly. A single mistake in any detail can result in complete failure, rendering the artifact useless. Worse yet, the materials cannot be salvaged or recycled.
This is why Asgard has so few weapons on par with the Eternal Spear, Gungnir. The creation of such a weapon demands an immense amount of time and energy.
But Wanda is different.
Unlike the skilled dwarves who spend years perfecting their craft, Wanda has chaos magic—the power to modify reality itself. Her method of forging is entirely unique, almost absurdly simple and crude.
With just a thought, she can directly merge materials into a weapon, inscribing rune characters in the process. Many of the complex steps traditional craftsmen follow are simply bypassed by her.
Simply outrageous.
The name of the future master artifact forger must be—Wanda.
As Leon pondered this, he couldn't help but feel a strange sense of unease.
A thought suddenly struck him: When I build Merlot Heaven in the future, will Wanda, by then, be able to create an entire Merlot Heaven out of thin air just by altering reality?
But he quickly dismissed the idea.
While she could indeed create things from nothing, that ability required knowledge of what she was making. Wanda couldn't conjure Merlot Heaven from scratch if she had no prior awareness of it.
However... there were certainly other things she could create.
Meanwhile, Thor had returned to Asgard, where he found Heimdall standing in the central hall of the Rainbow Bridge. However, this time, the Three Warriors of Asgard and Sif were also present.
It was clear—they had been waiting for him.
"Thor!"
Sif stepped forward, her voice urgent. "What did Leon say?"
Thor nodded. "I got the answer, and he has agreed to help us. But before that, I need to go to the underworld of Hel."
His gaze shifted to Heimdall. "Loki is there now, trying to free Hela."
Thor's meaning was clear—he needed Heimdall to open the Rainbow Bridge and send him there.
But before Heimdall could respond, Sif stepped in front of Thor, frowning in protest.
"You know what that place is like, Thor!" she argued. "There is no sunlight, only endless fog covering the entire realm. That land is filled with dangers. If you go there alone, you will certainly encounter peril."
The underworld of Hel—one of the Nine Realms—was the kingdom of the dead.
It was a realm where countless lost souls wandered. The omnipresent fog and darkness possessed a corrosive power, capable of eroding flesh and even devouring souls. Ordinary mortals who set foot in Hel would be reduced to nothing but bones within moments.
Even Asgardian warriors, for all their strength, could not enter the land of the dead so easily.
Not even Thor.
Though he possessed great resilience, staying in such a place for too long would eventually harm even him.
Volstagg, ever the voice of caution, nodded in agreement.
Fandral stroked his neatly trimmed mustache, scrutinizing Thor with a sharp gaze. "Did you get any other answers from Leon, Thor?"
"I believe you are not a reckless man."
In the past, Fandral would have assumed Thor was acting on impulse, driven by stubbornness and pride. But after Thor's time on Earth—his exile by Odin and the experiences that followed—Fandral believed he had matured.
Thor was no longer a brash prince; he had learned to be more rational and composed.
And sure enough—
Thor smiled and patted Sif, Volstagg, and Hogun on the shoulders. "Trust me, my friends," he reassured them.
"I only want to investigate. If I sense danger, I will leave immediately."
"But we—" Sif began, still worried.
Thor shook his head, cutting her off. "We have fought side by side before, but not this time. I must go alone. I don't know what other schemes Loki has in motion. My father is still asleep, and Asgard still needs you here."
With those words, he turned back to Heimdall.
The guardian of the Bifrost met his gaze, then nodded. Without hesitation, he lifted his sword and opened the passage.
Thor turned to his friends one last time, waved, and then stepped into the Rainbow Bridge.
As he vanished in a cascade of shimmering light, Sif frowned, watching him disappear.
"This is his mission," Heimdall said softly. "He will bring hope."
The Three Warriors of Asgard placed their hands on Sif's shoulder in silent support.
Boom!
A beam of rainbow light pierced through the dense, oppressive clouds of Hel, depositing Thor into a twisted jungle enshrouded in mist.
He landed lightly, his eyes scanning the eerie surroundings.
The thick fog obscured his vision, but through it, he could faintly see shifting, distorted faces—wraith-like remnants of the dead who roamed this realm.
Rumble!
Thor swung Mjolnir, summoning a mighty whirlwind that blew the surrounding mist aside. Then, gripping the hammer tightly, he soared into the air, rising above the fog.
From this vantage point, he scanned the landscape.
And there it was—what he had been searching for.
In the distance, a massive blue energy barrier flickered in and out of sight, barely visible through the haze. Beneath it, glowing blue energy pillars surged upward, relentlessly trying to pierce through the divine barrier.
"That's... my father's power," Thor murmured.
Bang!
A shockwave burst from his body as he rocketed toward the barrier at full speed.
Though the destination seemed close, the vastness of Hel made distances deceptive. Even at his fastest speed, it took him nearly half an hour to reach it.
As he approached, he felt the divine barrier surrounding the structure. But Odin's power did not reject him—he passed through effortlessly.
And then, he saw it.
A colossal, ancient fortress loomed in the darkness.
Its towering walls were shrouded in shadow, its presence exuding an overwhelming aura of despair. Just looking at it made Thor feel as though something unseen was trying to pull his soul into its depths.
This was the place.
Hela was inside.
And Loki was already here.
