Chapter 219: 218. Superman vs X-Men

----

Just as Erik’s power sparked to life, Charles reached out and grabbed his arm telepathically urging restraint.

"Don’t," Charles whispered. "Not yet."

Nolan’s eyes didn’t leave Colossus.

"You’ve got three seconds," he said, voice flat. "Decide whether you’re staying... or you’re going back."

He didn’t care about family reunions. Not when Kamar-Taj law was at stake. Sentiment meant nothing if it risked Earth’s stability.

Colossus stood frozen, torn between the sister he had just reclaimed and the cause he had sworn to protect.

"Three..."

"Two..."

"Brother," Illyana’s voice trembled, power flaring around her. "You can’t stay here. Go back. We’ll find another way."

Her tears mixed with magic. With a painful push, she sent Piotr back through the portal, sobbing, "Please!"

"No! Don’t!" Piotr roared, straining against her spell, but he couldn’t overpower it. The gate shimmered and he was gone.

On the lawn of the X-Mansion, Colossus dropped to his knees, eyes red. "Why? WHY!"

He looked up at Nolan with pain and fury in equal measure.

And Nolan... barely blinked.

"Why?!" Piotr screamed again and then snapped.

His body metalized with a roar, charging Nolan like a freight train. "GIVE ME BACK MY SISTER!"

Nolan didn’t even flinch. "You’re being stupid. Cool off."

He raised a hand.

A golden portal materialized mid-charge on the other side, the mansion’s central lake. Colossus barreled straight toward it.

Just then—a flicker of violet light sliced across the sky.

Blink.

The mutant teleporter tossed a small device into the air, creating a spatial gate that redirected Colossus’ trajectory not into the lake, but straight at Nolan’s back.

"Watch out!" Wanda shouted.

But Nolan had already sensed it.

He let it happen.

Boom.

The redirected momentum hit him square in the back but did nothing. Nolan barely turned.

"You want to fight?" he said, coldly.

He caught Colossus’ fist in one hand his fingers crushed into the metal skin like knives. Colossus cried out in agony.

Even in his armored form, Piotr was no match. Nolan’s strength didn’t just rival his it exceeded it.

"Let him go!" Logan snarled, claws unsheathing with a snikt. He lunged forward.

"You people never learn."

Nolan lifted Colossus like a ragdoll and slammed him into the ground, once, twice, again, each strike leaving craters in the soil. Cracks spread across the X-Mansion’s lawn.

"DROP HIM!" Logan roared, leaping with claws out.

"Wrong move."

Nolan hurled Colossus at Logan like a boulder.

Logan twisted midair but not fast enough.

BOOM!

The two collided in mid-air and went flying in opposite directions.

"GET HIM!" Bobby shouted.

He slid in on a trail of ice, arms raised as freezing energy built into a solid barrier—

Shattered.

Nolan burst through like a cannonball, flinging Bobby aside. His cry was lost in the wind.

Magneto stepped forward, hands raised. Metal from the surrounding area whipped toward him, guns, wires, and car parts, all fusing into makeshift turrets. Bullets sprayed toward Nolan in a coordinated barrage.

Nolan didn’t dodge.

The rounds lit up his armor like fireworks. Not a scratch.

Then came the psychic wave.

Emma Frost stood tall, eyes glowing with telepathic fire. Her assault lashed Nolan’s mind like a storm.

Nothing.

His mental defenses hardened by the Vishanti and tested against Dormammu’s minions shrugged it off.

Nolan marched forward.

"Why do you insist on turning a warning into a war?"

Juggernaut came next, the ground trembling with each step.

But before he could connect, Nolan stepped in close, caught his arm mid-swing, and crushed it flesh buckling under unnatural force.

Blood spattered across the grass.

"You’re strong," Nolan muttered. "But your power comes from another realm. You’re not even using your own strength."

He slammed Juggernaut into the ground—and didn’t stop there.

WHAM! WHAM!

He lifted Juggernaut in one hand, Colossus in the other, two living battering rams, and hurled them into Logan and Bobby as they charged again.

The impact was like a meteor strike.

"ENOUGH!" Wanda yelled.

But Nolan turned to her calmly.

"Stay back. This is their tantrum. I gave them a choice. They picked the wrong one."

Ororo, watching from the side, clenched her fists. Wind howled around her, threatening a storm.

"Don’t," Charles said telepathically. "He’s right. This was our mistake."

"You done?" Nolan asked, standing among the cratered field, holding two of the strongest mutants in his arms like broken tools.

No one answered.

Then...

Thud.

Logan collapsed, groaning.

Nolan dropped both Colossus and Juggernaut with a disgusted sigh.

"You let emotion dictate your strength. That’s why you lose."

He looked around at the fallen X-Men.

Then to Charles.

"I warned you. But sometimes, people only learn through pain."
