Marvel: The Villain-Chapter 250 Spot-On
Alex’s prediction was spot on. Around noon, the situation regarding the morgue murder case had become clear, and the security captain was identified as a major suspect.
The police immediately released a bulletin on the case and issued a wanted notice to the public, soliciting any leads on the suspect.
The morgue murder case spread like wildfire, becoming a hot topic among news media and the general public.
Chloe, responsible for monitoring the entire internet, had learned all the details even before the case bulletin was released and had compiled a report for Jason.
This incident was riddled with suspicious points. Based on the current intelligence, calling the security captain a suspect was a stretch; there were too many inexplicable aspects.
For instance, what was the deal with the resurrected corpse the morgue doctor mentioned, and where was that corpse now?
For instance, how did an ordinary hospital security captain manage to lift two people and smash their skulls together?
For instance, whose suspicious blood was left at the scene? Besides the four security guards, could there have been a fifth person present?
There were no answers to these questions, but Jason remained very calm upon receiving the news because he knew who had finally appeared.
He ordered Chloe to follow up on this case. Any major intelligence had to be reported immediately; under no circumstances should the ally be captured by the police.

Washington, S.H.I.E.L.D. Temporary Headquarters.
While the troubles in New York were far from over, something interesting happened overseas.
An American oceanographic research vessel discovered a massive unidentified object in a glacier near the Arctic. It looked a bit like a strategic bomber and a bit like a spaceship.
Because the ship was frozen in the glacier, the captain dared not act rashly and reported the case up the chain of command. Eventually, it landed on the desk of the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Nick Fury read the file and became interested in the ship.
He took charge of the case and dispatched several agents to investigate. To show the importance he attached to it, he specially deployed S.H.I.E.L.D.’s newly developed Quinjet.
Several agents arrived at the Arctic research station by plane first, then took their equipment and rode the station’s vehicle to the target location.
Ice and snow covered the land, and the cold wind cut like a knife.
The agents got out of the car, shivering all over.
"Oh my God, it’s too cold here."
"I hope this operation yields something, or we’re suffering for nothing."
They chatted and laughed as they walked forward, but the smiles on their faces soon froze.
Before them, a massive tail fin protruded from the ice, its pitch-black hull exuding a high-tech aura.
"Holy shit!"
Even the well-traveled S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had to exclaim in surprise upon seeing this behemoth.
If the tail fin alone was this big, the main body of this steel beast must be spectacular.
One agent took out a device, snapped a photo of the tail fin, transmitted it back to headquarters, and then continued forward.
The ice-breaking equipment was set up. After the agent gave the order, a laser ice-breaking vehicle began its work.
The high-temperature laser device at the rear of the vehicle spun rapidly, cutting a circle into the ground.
Minutes later, the ice layer and the hull were penetrated. Two agents put on their gear and rappelled into the ship’s interior.
Flashlights swept around. The interior really did look like a spaceship, and it appeared more advanced than any aircraft or spacecraft currently equipped by the US military, almost comparable to S.H.I.E.L.D.’s own tech.
This ship had been buried under the glacial ice for at least decades. But back then, which country had such terrifying military technological capabilities?
Could it be an alien spaceship?
"What?" An agent exclaimed in surprise.
Following the beam of his companion’s flashlight, a strange yet familiar symbol appeared before their eyes.
Nazi!
Nazi Germany!
The two agents looked at each other, feeling incredibly shaken inside.
After a long silence, one smiled bitterly. "German technology really was number one in the world back then."
The other wondered, "If the Germans could build a ship decades ago that rivals S.H.I.E.L.D.’s most cutting-edge tech, how exactly did they lose WWII? Or rather, how did we win?"
It was ancient history with no way to verify right then, and neither of them were historians, so they didn’t discuss it further. Instead, they continued searching the ship’s interior.
Walking into the cockpit, they found an object frozen on the floor, covered by a layer of snowflakes.
Crouching down, one agent wiped away the snow with his hand, revealing a round shield with a red and blue color scheme.
"What is this?"
An agent not well-versed in history asked.
"Oh my God!" The other agent, intimately familiar with this shield, was so shocked his jaw dropped.
Without hesitation, he immediately pressed his communicator: "Headquarters, get me the Director."
"Sir, it’s 3 AM in Washington."
"I don’t care what time it is, I have an urgent report!"
"OK, good luck."
"Beep... beep... beep... Hello!"
Fury’s voice was low; he was clearly unhappy about the call.
"Director, we found a shield inside the ship in the Arctic."
"A shield?" Fury asked with some annoyance, "What shield is worth calling me at 3 AM for?"
The agent was agitated, breathing rapidly. "Director, please don’t get excited when you hear this."
"Hmph!" Fury scoffed. "Young man, there are very few things in this world that can excite me."
"It’s... it’s Captain America’s shield!"
"..." Fury went silent on the other end.
A moment later, his lazy voice pitched up an octave. "Motherfucker! What did you say..."
The agent cleared his throat and said seriously, "I’m not mistaken. It is the shield of Captain America, Steve Rogers!"
"Don’t move. I’m sending someone over immediately. Guard that spot; don’t let anyone in."
Fury immediately dialed Phil Coulson. "Coulson, I have a job for you... location is the Arctic... don’t worry, I guarantee it’s a huge surprise... leave now, you’ll arrive before dawn."
Coulson was a dutiful subordinate. Upon receiving the order, he immediately left home, went to the temporary headquarters, and boarded a Quinjet to the Arctic.
When he arrived, it was already daylight in the Arctic. The area near the tail fin was crowded with people from the research station.
Rappelling into the ship, before the agents could even make introductions, Coulson’s eyes lit up, reaching peak excitement instantly.
He practically threw himself forward, kneeling on the ground with the reverence of a believer seeing a holy relic.
Gently stroking the shield hidden within the ice, Coulson said excitedly, "Thaw the ice immediately. Do not damage anything inside."
With a command, the agents behind him began to work, taking out various advanced instruments to melt the ice layer by layer.
Over an hour later, the solid ice inside the ship was completely melted.
Frozen alongside the shield was a muscular man with a tight ass wearing a uniform.
"It’s him... Captain America... Steve Rogers!"
Seeing the historical figure appear before them without having aged a day, the agents were so excited they could hardly control themselves.
Super-fan Coulson was more concerned about his idol’s health and quickly said, "Get the Captain onto the plane quickly. Contact the best hospital in New York."
"Understood!"
Sitting on the return flight, Coulson calmed himself down and reported to the Director: "Sir, I found him. Thank you so much."
"You should thank the greenhouse effect. If the Arctic glaciers hadn’t melted, the ship would have remained buried there forever," Fury chuckled.
"Yes. I’ve already contacted a hospital in New York. Additionally, I think we need to strengthen security and give the Captain time to adapt. After all, he’s been asleep for 70 years..."
Fury interrupted impatiently, "He’s your idol. I’m giving you full authority to handle this."
"Okay, thank you."
Hanging up the phone, Fury lay back leisurely in his rocking chair, smugly shaking his feet.
"Black Widow, Iron Man, Hulk, and now Captain America..."
"The prototype of the Avengers has appeared. Jason, your doomsday is approaching!"
