Chapter 100 - Vs Antares

In Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, Weed had three classes: Moonlight Sculptor, Warrior of the Sun, and Necromancer. Since Blade inherited his Life Template, he was destined to gain these three classes as well. However, because it was an improved version of Weed's template, Blade received Soul Sculptor, a higher-tier version of Moonlight Sculptor. Now, he was wondering what his next class would be. And now With the battle against Antares, it was clear—he was about to obtain the enhanced version of Warrior of the Sun.

As Antares stood before him, his stance relaxed but imposing, Blade activated Sculpting Blade and rushed in, unleashing one skill after another. He knew from the start that this wasn't a fight he could win outright. Antares was far beyond him in strength and experience, but that wasn't the point. Blade wasn't here to defeat him—only to prove his worth.

The reason even Blade got this quest was because how great his class is and also due to his lower level. Due to this Antares had seen potential in Blade, which was why he gave him a different kind of trial. Unlike the original scenario where one had to defeat a Demonized Antares and obtain the Legendary Sun Saint class book as drop from him, Blade's Quest difficulty was reduced. He only needed to prove himself, which was far easier given his high-level sword mastery, enhanced senses, and superior battle instincts.

"You advance, retreat, and attack when needed... but you also know when to fall back and conserve energy," Antares observed, watching Blade carefully.

Despite his overwhelming disadvantage, Blade refused to back down. The fight continued, with both combatants pushing their limits. The true test had only just begun.

Antares watched Blade's movements carefully, nodding in approval. "Good. You don't just swing blindly. You adapt."

Blade gritted his teeth, sweat dripping from his forehead. He had activated Sculpting Blade to enhance his attacks, but even so, every clash against Antares' strikes sent powerful shockwaves through his arms. His opponent wasn't just strong—he was precise, efficient, and relentless.

Antares suddenly vanished, reappearing behind Blade in an instant. "Too slow."

Blade barely twisted his body in time, raising his sword to block. But the force of Antares' attack sent him skidding backward, nearly knocking him off balance.

He exhaled sharply, calming his breathing. He had already expected this—there was no way he could match Antares in raw power. But if power alone wasn't enough, then he would fight using everything else at his disposal.

The fight continued for another three hours as Antares kept testing Blade, challenging him with one trial after another. Many times, he launched unexpected attacks to see how Blade would respond.

Finally, after another hour, Antares took a step back and exhaled. "That will be enough," he said as he lowered his stance, signaling the end of the battle.

Blade nodded as he sat on the floor, his body completely drained as he panted for breath.

Valentine, on the other hand, approached him with concern. "Are you all right?" she asked.

He nodded weakly, still catching his breath.

"Leave him be. He's strong—he can recover on his own," Antares said, causing Valentine to step back.

After a moment, Blade stood up and looked at Antares. Antares met his gaze and said, "You are good." He then motioned for Blade to come closer.

"I will bestow my Sun Tribe legacy upon you. And since I now know that, by seeing you, you will succeed in helping this kingdom, I will test you again after three years when I will be at the end of my life," he said.

"If, at that time, you are unable to defeat me, I will take back my legacy," he warned.

Blade responded with confidence, "It won't come to that."

Antares smirked. "I hope so," he said as the sun-shaped tattoo on his chest glowed. A golden light emerged from him and descended upon Blade.

A black tattoo in the shape of a sun began forming on Blade's chest. "This is my Sun Tribe legacy. We pass it on through these tattoos," Antares explained.

Blade nodded, just as a notification appeared before him.

"Congratulations, Blade. You are now the 134th-generation Sun Saint," Antares said, his voice filled with pride.

Blade nodded, determination burning in his eyes. "I will let the legend of the Sun Saint resound on the surface once again."

Antares gave a firm nod in approval. "For now, this is enough. As you grow in power, you will unlock more of the abilities within the legacy I have bestowed upon you."

Blade clenched his fists. "I understand."

"You have proven yourself worthy of inheriting my lineage and its legacy," Antares continued. "Now, I can safely entrust you with the Trident."

Blade's eyes widened as Antares raised his hand into the air. A golden glow shimmered, and in an instant, a magnificent trident materialized before them.

"Here it is," Antares declared, presenting the weapon.

Blade and his companion, Piaro, stepped forward to examine it. The Trident was pure gold, its surface adorned with intricate divine markings. Every inch of the weapon radiated power, its presence exuding an aura of ancient strength. It was unmistakably a divine weapon.
