Damian looked at him incredulously, while Valentine nodded approvingly.

Fucking cringe, Blade thought to himself in that moment.

It was a newly acquired skill, but since it required him to speak like a religious figure, Blade couldn't help but cringe at his own words.

However, upon hearing him, 60% of the paladins hesitated. They were the ones who still held true faith in the Goddess and had not indulged in corruption.

"Goddess Rebecca has sent me to purge this evil! If you follow the true Goddess, stand by my side at once!" he proclaimed with confidence.

His words struck a chord. The hesitant paladins swore their allegiance and left the Pope's side. Even some of the elder priests hesitated, wavering in their loyalty.

Out of the original 20 paladins on the Pope's side, only 13 remained, along with seven priests. The numbers had shifted drastically.

From the original numbers, it wasn't even 30% of the earlier force who had sided with the Pope, causing the corrupt holy knights and Priest at Pope side to stiffen up.

"How dare you all?!" the Pope roared. "I am the Pope, the father of millions!" His voice thundered through the grand hall. "Renounce your treachery at once!"

"You are wrong," Blade declared firmly. "You are no longer the father of the faith. The Goddess herself has abandoned you!"

He then pointed at Damian. "This here is the righteous paladin, one whose actions are just! Look at him—see how much the Goddess blesses him even now!"

The attention shifted to Damian, who was still standing motionlessly. Now that Blade has a Saint class, he could sense divine power, and earlier when Damian sided with him his Divine power suddenly flared and increased , causing Blade to think he must have received a similar quest like him. And Paladins and Priest can't ignore the Divine power radiating from him.

"It's true," one paladin murmured.

One by one, the remaining paladins hesitated, their resolve wavering. Some immediately dropped their weapons, unwilling to fight for a leader who had lost the Goddess's favor. The situation had completely shifted.

None of them moved to aid either Blade or the Pope—they were now waiting, watching, trying to discern the true will of the Goddess.

"You... DIE!!"

Pope Drevigo, enraged at the sight of Damian's divine power, attacked without hesitation. Two golden discs formed over his shoulders, releasing beams of golden light.

Seeing the attack, they didn't hesitate and quickly dodged.

"You take care of the priests and holy knights, I'll handle him," Blade said.

Damian nodded. "Okay, after dealing with them, I'll help," he added.

Blade gave a firm nod before charging forward.

"You help him too," Blade said to Valentine as he rushed to kill Pope Drevigo.

"It was all because of you!" Drevigo seethed. He raised his hands and shouted, "Goddess' Wrath!"

Two golden discs once again formed behind him, glowing ominously as they prepared to unleash their divine power.

They released golden arcs of fast light, attacking him.

Damian, watching this, used Light Blessing, increasing his agility, attack power, and defense by 50%.

Blade, however, didn't dodge. Instead, he stood his ground and activated "Whirlpool Slash."
