Chapter 86: Making an Armor

Granny's ghost hovered around Blade with a smug expression, arms crossed as she looked at him.

"How is it, kid?" she asked.

"It's great," Blade replied, admiring his new skill. "Who would have thought you could create something like this?"

Granny rolled her eyes. "What do you mean by that, kid?" she said, her tone half-scolding.

"I always thought sculptors were meant to create beauty, not bring destruction,"

Blade looked at her curiously as she continued, "That's what I used to believe too. But then, you don't become as powerful as me by sticking to that simple mindset. You can't go up against dragons while thinking like a normal sculptor. So, I started experimenting—thinking outside the box, pushing every limit I could to reach another level."

She smirked and then let out a sigh. "And guess what? I didn't find that limit."

Blade listened intently as she reminisced.

"Then, one day, I saw two kids fighting each other. At first, I thought it was barbaric. But then, their swords clashed—the sparks flew, the air bent around their strikes, and the light reflecting off their blades carved patterns into the battlefield."

"It was beautiful," she said with a nostalgic smile. "That's when I realized—sculpting isn't just about carving statues out of stone. It can be a moment of beauty, whether frozen in stone or alive in the graceful dance of a sword duel."

"So, I went bonkers," she admitted with a laugh. "I started experimenting with all kinds of things. For the first time in my life, I used my carving knife to kill a bunny. Yes, a bunny. Well, I wasn't strong at first, so it took time," she said, smiling as she reminisced about her journey.

Blade could see the genuine happiness in her expression as she spoke.

"It seems like you truly enjoyed every part of it," he said.

"I did," she nodded.

"Enough about me. Now it's your time, kid," she said, looking at him seriously.

Blade nodded and stood up. "Yeah... I wonder if I can have an enjoyable life like you," he said as he looked back at his own journey—going from one place to another without truly stopping to appreciate anything.

"Did I ever enjoy it?" he wondered.

Granny observed him in silence before speaking again. "You're thinking about your own journey, aren't you? Believe me, you're going to enjoy it," she assured him.

Blade smiled faintly. "That's what I'm hoping for," he admitted.

For the first time, he reflected on everything. He had been given a powerful weapon and spent his life going from one world to another without truly caring about what he was doing. He was also the strong kid who had once stood helplessly as Camille died. At that moment, he had understood—he wasn't as great as he thought he was.

And now, he was here in this world.

"Maybe I should go back and spend some time with Camille," he mumbled, picking up his loot. The only worthwhile items he had obtained were the Troll Warlord's Greatsword and the Troll Skins.

Not to mention the many gold coins he had collected, Blade took everything with him and headed back to the smithy.

Ryan looked at him carefully, sensing a change in the air around him. It was as if Blade was no longer a lost kid, but someone who had found his purpose. Ryan smiled at first, but then a horrifying thought struck him.

"Don't tell me... I turned him into a battle maniac!!"

He quickly examined Blade's face, searching for any signs of madness.

"Nope, he looks normal... Maybe something else happened."

Blade walked up to him and placed the materials on the table.

"I brought the Troll skins," Blade said.

Ryan nodded and handed him a blueprint.

"Good. Here's the blueprint," he said, passing it to Blade, who took it eagerly.

" I have acquired it, but at most I was able to make was an Epic one, I am giving you in hope you make its best version" he said as he Blade looked at the production Method.

"This is surely expensive. Are you sure you're giving it to me for free?" Blade asked.

Ryan ruffled Blade's hair with a grin. "Look at me, I'm getting old, and I have yet to find a successor. You're the best talent I could hope for," he said, patting Blade on the back. "Just make sure to create something that blows everyone's mind."

Blade nodded. "I will."

Ryan nodded in satisfaction. "Good. Let's get to work, then," he said as he took out the Shadow-Infused Ignots along with other necessary materials.
