Marvel Ultimate Gacha-Chapter 90: Kesan Canyon II
Chapter 90: Kesan Canyon II
The stab throw the Mermen back,
" Kill the human meat!!" shouted one mermen as he rushed at him, as Blade shrugged.
"Tch, no point in talking, huh?" Blade muttered, planting his feet firmly on the rocky ground.
The first merman lunged, thrusting its trident toward his chest. Blade twisted to the side, dodging the strike, then countered with a powerful downward slash.
"[Seismic Slash!]"
BOOM!
The force of his strike sent a tremor through the ground, and a shockwave blasted forward, sending the attacking merman flying backward. The surrounding mermen staggered, their footing disrupted by the shaking earth.
[You have stunned a Level 170 Merman Warrior for 2 seconds!]
Blade didn't waste time. He rushed forward, stepping over cracked stone, and drove his sword through the stunned merman's chest.
[You have slain a Level 170 Merman Warrior!]
[You have gained 12,000 experience points.]
The remaining mermen hissed, then moved in unison, their tridents aiming for him from multiple angles. Blade smirked.
"You think I'll let you surround me?"
He slammed his foot into the ground.
"[Earth Breaker!]"
A deafening CRACK echoed as the ground beneath one of the mermen shattered completely. The creature barely had time to scream before it was swallowed by collapsing terrain, the impact crushing its body.
[You have slain a Level 175 Merman Warrior!]
[You have gained 14,000 experience points.]
The two closest mermen stumbled as the ground caved beneath them, momentarily losing their balance. Blade seized the opportunity.
"[Stone Fang!]"
A quick upward slash sent jagged stone spikes shooting up from the fractured earth. The sharp rock pierced through the armor-like scales of the nearest merman, skewering it in place. Blood sprayed from the wound as the creature shrieked in pain.
[Critical Hit! You have inflicted Bleeding on Level 172 Merman Warrior!]
Without hesitation, Blade dashed forward and slashed his sword clean through the pinned merman's neck.
[You have slain a Level 172 Merman Warrior!]
[You have gained 13,500 experience points.]
More mermen poured out of the lake, realizing their usual tactics wouldn't work. Instead of reckless charges, they began channeling water magic.
Blade's sharp eyes caught the change—one of them was raising its arms, forming a swirling vortex of water above its head. Another was preparing to release a high-pressure jet.
"Oh no, you don't!"
Blade gritted his teeth, raising his sword high.
"[Earthshatter Dance!]"
He moved like a blur. His sword slashed through the air five times in rapid succession, each strike shaking the battlefield. The final blow struck the ground—
BOOM!
The earth exploded outward in a violent shockwave, sending debris flying and knocking the spellcasters off their feet. The swirling water magic they had been preparing collapsed instantly.
[You have slain a Level 180 Merman Elite!]
[You have slain a Level 175 Merman Warrior!]
[You have gained 32,000 experience points.]
The last remaining mermen hesitated, their previous confidence wavering. Blade rolled his shoulders, eyeing them with a smirk.
New novel 𝓬hapters are published on freёwebnoѵel.com.
"Had enough?"
For a moment, silence hung over the battlefield—then, with a few hissing clicks, the remaining mermen retreated into the lake, vanishing beneath the surface.
Blade looked around finding no more Mermen as he nodded, he looked at his level.
[ Current level : 104 ]
"Five levels, huh? Good," Blade nodded as he looked at his stat points.
"I'll distribute them later," he mumbled, turning his gaze toward the waterfall. He moved toward it, stepping behind the cascading water.
"The sword is inside the lake, you know," Granny said as she emerged behind him.
Blade nodded. "Normally, secret things are hidden behind waterfalls."
"Yeah, yeah, in fairy tales," Old Granny rolled her eyes as he stepped behind the waterfall, finding an empty space there.
"Hm, well, you were right—there's nothing here," he said, scanning the area.
Old Granny, however, walked toward the wall and pointed at something. "There is something," she said, leading him toward a series of murals carved into the stone.
Blade studied them closely. The carvings depicted a man holding a sword, performing intricate movements that resembled a dance.
'Pagma's Sword Dance...' Blade inwardly thought, though he kept his expression neutral.
"These look like a ritual," he murmured, running his fingers over the engravings. "I guess they're the key to unlocking whatever's hidden here."
Without hesitation, he unsheathed his sword and began mimicking the movements shown on the murals. Step by step, he replicated the elegant yet powerful sword dance, his blade slicing through the air in perfect harmony with the ancient carvings.
After completing the sword dance, Blade sighed and muttered, "I guess they were just engravings."
Old Granny shook her head. "No, keep going. Continue for as long as you can," she said, looking at him seriously.
Blade simply nodded and began again.
One hour passed...Two hours passed...Five hours passed...
"This is pointless," Blade said after six hours, exhaling in frustration.
Granny shook her head again. "Just keep going."
He sighed, seeing her serious expression. "Okay," he relented, resuming the sword dance.
As he moved, a thought crossed his mind. Maybe there really is a hidden mechanism...
He continued performing the sword dance, repeating the movements over and over.
Twelve hours passed...
By now, his login time should have expired, but strangely, no notification appeared.
"Weird... I should have already gotten the warning that my time is up," he thought, but he didn't stop.
Another hour passed, and he became certain that something was hidden here.
However, exhaustion began creeping into his body. His muscles ached, sweat dripped from his face, and his breathing became labored.
"Don't stop, you're close now," Granny urged.
Blade met her gaze, panting heavily. His legs trembled, and his body screamed in protest, but he clenched his teeth and forced himself to keep moving.
Blade gritted his teeth, forcing his body to move despite the growing exhaustion. His arms felt like lead, his legs burned with every step, and his vision blurred from fatigue. But he continued, his sword tracing the same intricate motions over and over.
Just a little longer... something has to happen.
Another hour passed. His breath came in ragged gasps, and his sweat-soaked clothes clung to his skin. His body swayed, his movements growing sluggish.
Then—
A faint tremor ran through the ground.
