Huh!?

She wanted to exclaim but she still felt small. She could speak if she forced herself to, but she wouldn’t. Atleast, not while she still felt like this.

Lumi knelt in respect. "Thank you, Narinder."

Lena’s eyes were wide open, but she also copied Lumi. "T-t-th-thank you, Narinder." She shivered a bit, given the various unfamiliar feelings welling up in her. As the divine power flooding the area was fading, however, she gradually regained her senses.

Narinder turned its head away, only vaguely keeping Lumi within its gaze. Seeing that behavior, Lumi bowed respectfully. "I will take my leave now, Narinder."

He took a step back. Seeing no further reaction, he turned around. He gently prodded Lena such that she turned as well, and then began making their way out of the garden.

Once they were entirely out of the garden and back in the paved corridors of the palace, Lena trembled and asked. "What... was that?"

Lumi understood her confusion.

For he had caused it on purpose.

Lumi went to explain. "Narinder is a divine animal. While it is not a god, you can think of it as having traces of godly authority. You just experienced divine power."

"..." Lena held her own shoulder for a moment. Finally she spoke. "I think... I’m going to go."

"Go?"

Lena didn’t respond. She began to walk away. Slow at first, then speeding up. She scampered out of sight. Soon enough, on the friends list, she went offline.

Lumi checked the remaining time. It was about to run out. With a sigh, he returned to his prepared quarters and logged out.

...

He opened his eyes to the inside of his game pod. The neural interface helmet sat so comfortably on his head that he had to actively remind himself that it was on before trying to get up.

Carefully, he brought his arms up. With as little force as he could manage, he removed the helmet and undid the safety restraints holding him in place.

When he pushed himself up, he made sure to move slowly, not putting in any extra force that wasn’t strictly necessary.

Getting out of the pod was always slightly disorienting. His physical body felt both too heavy after hours of stillness. He stretched carefully, working out kinks in muscles that had been still too long.

For a moment, he sat silently. His body was slightly uncomfortable with the need to go to the bathroom and to drink water, yet he kept still for a moment.

He blinked, then sighed. He didn’t know what was wrong with his mood. He shook his head, and took care of his needs. Afterwards, he settled back in his room.

He carefully took hold of a glass, lifting it, then placing it down. Nothing unusual happened.

Renan let out a grin.

Masteria was a real world.

However, just because something was true didn’t mean it was easily believed. He could rant all day about how realistic the AI was, the graphics, the sensations, and whatnot. The only thing he would get is mockery.

He couldn’t exactly blame the players. No matter how unexplainable the humongous leap in technology was, no sane human’s mind would ever go to ’it’s a real world, and this is a way we’re entering it!’.

This left Renan with an issue. How would he convince someone, anyone at all, that Masteria was real?

When it came to such an issue, nothing beat solid proof.

Renan’s right hand slid across his desk, grabbing a coin. He held it between two hands, then applied pressure.

The coin easily bent as he folded it in half.

He stood up, moving to his cabinet. He grabbed hold of it with one hand and easily lifted it with one hand despite the object being several hundred pounds heavy.

Narinder had blessed his soul.

The Game Pod worked by temporarily transferring the soul to a body in Masteria. When someone is playing Masteria, their soul is actively within Masteria. Therefore, anything that affected the soul would affect your body on Earth as well.

If one wanted to convince someone that Masteria was a real world, one only had to link the occurrence of an ’impossible’ event to Masteria.

Such as their own body mysteriously growing stronger.

He blinked, realizing he had entered unfamiliar territory.

There was an endless amount of things he could do in Masteria. If one thought Earth had much to do, they would be befuddled upon taking a single step within Masteria. There were multiple continents, various factions, ancient heroes, gods, divine authorities, and more.

Renan had many plans and ideas for the future, but of course, he had to take advantage of anything he could get his hands on the moment it was available to him. He had seen an opportunity to kill three birds with one stone.

One was the obvious, to receive a massive buff.

The second was to ascertain Lena’s soul. Although he very much appreciated and enjoyed her presence, worry had spiked in his heart recently. He wanted to make sure she wasn’t an agent.

The last was to strengthen himself in real life. This served two purposes. One was to be able to convince other people that Masteria was real. The other was to be able to defend himself just a bit better if any unforeseen circumstance occurred.

To obtain the ability to prove the existence of Masteria to other people with his physical body was a goal he had in mind, yet thus far, he had not made any plans to use it yet. He had picked it up in a quicktime bargain.

It would only ever work with people he could visit in real life. Otherwise... what stranger on the internet would ever believe a video wasn’t just CGI or AI? It made no sense.

With no time in Masteria left, Renan went to check his messages...
