Masteria Online: Shattering the Dark God's Grand Scheme-Chapter 95 - Infiltrators
They approached openly, making no further effort to hide their presence. The three seals continued their work, moving barrels from one location to another.
"Excuse me," Lumi called out. "We’re with the Unified Mora Council, investigating some irregularities. Could we see your identification?"
The seals stopped simultaneously, turning to face them. For a moment, there was silence. Then the lead seal opened its mouth, producing a neutral voice. "Here is our identification." They produced papers from their bag, passing them over.
Ah, robots, then.
The voice was distinctively seal-like, and that was exactly the evidence of them being robots.
Otherwise, there would also be the possibility of these being humans in disguise. But seals had a distinctiveness to their voice that just wouldn’t be replicated by even skilled actors.
Lumi took the identification papers, and took a glance. In all honesty, they were meaningless to him. It wasn’t as if he knew what proper identification papers for this organization looked like. Lumi passed the papers back at the others, who inspected the papers with a neutral expression.
Even when Susie saw them, her expression clearly screamed, ’what am I supposed to do with these?’
Lumi turned to the ’seals’, a mental grin creeping up, though he kept his face composed.
Seems like to make any true progress, I’ll have to go a little rogue.
"While your papers are in order, our records are missing you from them." Lumi blatantly lied, making up nonsense. "Therefore, please cooperate with the secondary form of identification."
Lumi turned his wand around, such that the base was pointed forward, and directly slammed it into one of their shoulders.
THUNK!
A clearly metallic sound rang out. "Got you."
Their disguise flickered, they shed their disguises like molting skin, revealing cold hard steel underneath. And cold they were, the steel took on a purple hue, and froze to the touch.
"Robots!" Valeria shouted, drawing her sword in one fluid motion. "Take them down!"

"Keep them contained!" Valeria ordered, already slicing one in half. "Don’t let them escape to warn others!"
"Light Shower!" Lumi directed his spell to the bot Valeria had already cut. "Huh, yo-" Her confused expression immediately hardened as she saw that the enemy she had already sliced in half had small appendages reaching out from inside its body, about to connect the severed top and bottom together.
The penetrating light punched through the bot’s head, puncturing it with holes which leaked oil and ice. However, it still had the energy to move.
Unlike the previous enemies they’d fought before, this one adapted, shifting its mass to seal the wounds while launching a counterattack with blade-sharp appendages that extended from what had been its skin.
Valeria met the attack head on, her vastly superior level making her nearly invulnerable to the strikes. The other two robots moved forward, flanking Valeria on both sides. Frost blades came out of their bodies, straight towards Valeria.
"Enough!" Marcus held his wand and cast. "Vortex O’ Flame!"
In front of Valeria, a horizontal vortex came into existence, forcefully pushing back the three bots in a burst of flame.
Boom!
They flew back until they all crashed against a wall. And yet, they all motioned to get up once more. "What the..." Marcus’s eyes widened. "Heat resistant!? But, but..."
"Stay down." Zara whispered as the shadows the bots cast on the floor behind them suddenly held a blade outwards, piercing them all in the back.
Lumi suddenly dropped to the floor, sending a flurry of light magic at ground level to pierce through the bots. The angle was perfect, causing the magic to pierce through the long part of all the infiltrators.
Susie followed it up. "Chain Lightning!" A loud bolt came from her wand, sending electric magic straight into one of the bots. Then, it began to move from body to body, doing damage along the way.
The bots went unresponsive, their insides leaking out all over the floor.
"Phew, those things were weird." Marcus commented as he stared at the ’destroyed’ bots. "Why are they fire resistant? It doesn’t make sense to me, my fire is supposed to mostly ignore any kind of heat resistance."
"Fire Wizard is one of Herene’s five paths." Valeria replied. "If these were made by the Wings of Darkness, and it’s certainly looking like they are, then it makes sense that they would be made to counter us!"
Lumi’s gaze, however, was still on the destroyed bots on the floor. He hadn’t gotten an EXP notification. So after a moment of analyzing, he began casting more spells on them.
"Lumi?" Marcus looked over with confusion. "Why are yo-"
Suddenly, the allegedly destroyed robots whirred back to life one final time, attempting to lunge at the Knights with their destroyed bodies.
"..." In complete silence, Valeria ran forward and sliced them all. Afterwards, her eyes gleamed with a mystical magenta light. "Cosmic Rain!" Above her, the visions of the sun and moon appeared. They intertwined together, and flooded the floor with a large circle of magenta light.
Within this large circular radius, a vision of stars appeared, which constantly crashed down into the ground. These stars exploded out with energy, the constant shower completely and utterly demolishing the bots.

Afterwards, she stomped on their remains, over and over. She then scooped up a handful of scattered steel and oil, inspecting the remains.
She glared at it, then turned to the others. "Please come look at this. Is it finally destroyed this time?" The other four came up from behind her, inspecting the remains. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
"It... should?" Marcus said, dubiously.
Zara squinted her eyes. "This better not be one of those things you gotta destroy completely, till it’s less than dust!"
Lumi replied calmly. "It’s just a piece of technology. No matter how sophisticated, it can’t possibly recover from this."
Susie agreed. "While I am not sure on the specifics, there is something I do know. Whether magical or physical in nature, all technology follows similar principles. There should be little way for this to repair itself anymore."
