Chapter 454: The Report And Evidence

(Author’s POV)

’Let’s follow him. We will surely know what his identity is,’ Drey suggested. Dion had the same thought.

"Bro, where are you heading to?" Elio’s voice came from behind.

Dion’s steps halted as he turned around and spoke, his tone casual "Just thought of going for a walk? Where have you been, Eli? Didn’t see you at the mansion," he asked.

"Ummm~ ... I was feeling a bit stuffy, so I went out for a run as well," Elio said, but there was hesitance in his tone. As Dion’s mind was preoccupied, he didn’t notice that.

"Go inside~ ... then. I will just be back," saying this, he started to walk again when they both heard a car’s engine roaring from some distance. Elio spoke, "I guess they are back~ ...." Soon, the car arrived. Alaric and Nora got out of it one after another. He couldn’t help but ask, "How is Myra~ ... now?" feeling antsy.

"Myra is~ ...." Nora told them what happened.

Elio and Dion’s voices erupted simultaneously, "WHATTTTT?"

"Yeah~ ... although the doctor said she was okay. But I am really scared," Nora added, her eyes rimming slightly red. Alaric reached by her side, patting her head in comfort, "She will be fine, Ora. She will be fine."

Nora nodded.

"Dio, Eli, what were you two doing?" Alaric queried.

"Nothing~ ...." Dion was quick with his reply. "By the way~ ... where is Brave? Didn’t he come with you?"

"Uhh~ ... something happened with Mrs. Garcia. So, he stayed behind. He will be back soon~ ..." Alaric briefed them. With that, they all went back to the mansion. Dion glanced back at the lost opportunity. Now his priority had changed. His entire focus shifted to go to Myra.

Meanwhile, at Fabian’s private residence, Gunnar was already waiting for his young master. When Fabian came, no word was exchanged as they walked inside the house. Once they were in the safe space, Fabian uttered, "What are your findings?" He took a seat on the couch, his legs crossed as he stared at his aide.

Gunnar handed him a document and a sealed bag with a pen drive in it. He then started, "The drive has the security camera footage of Ms. Miracle’s movements from that day. From on her way to the hotel, to the time she spent in Crown Opulence. Regarding the document, it contains information about the kidnappers’ identities. Young master, your doubts were absolutely right~ .... Those three abductors, they all were vampires and belonged to the Blood Fangs’ Clan."

Fabian nodded, listening attentively, as he mulled over his words. Gunnar continued, "Actually, there is something else I have to report~ .... the night Ms. Miracle was kidnapped, there wasn’t one but several people watching her."

"What do you mean?" Fabian frowned at the piece of information.

"Yes, young master. Apart from those three vampires, there was another group of men following Ms. Miracle that day. Also, there is another incident. Earlier, on the same day Ms. Miracle had a confrontation with a student named Nigel Long. Because of this, the son of the Long family was suspended from the university until further notice. One of his friends, her name is Hailey Burton, was involved in the bullying incident as well. She and one of the abductors have a close relationship. And the Long couple was in touch with him as well."

"So, you are saying it is Hailey and the Longs doing?" Fabian inquired.

"It can be them, but the other party I told you about have no connection with either. Their movements were suspicious. They were keeping an eye on Ms. Miracle separately," Gunnar added.

"Does this document have their identities as well?" Fabian questioned.

"Uhhh~ .... I apologize young master, but I couldn’t find anything about them yet. But the men I have sent, they are still working on," Gunnar said, his tone filled with regret. "I will soon give you a satisfactory answer."

"Look into them, quietly. As for the Longs~ .... I will deal with them," his gaze turned icy cold.

His phone started ringing, breaking their conversation. "If there is nothing else, you can go now," Fabian dismissed him with a wave of his hand. Gunnar followed his command and walked out.

Fabian looked at the display; it was a call from William. He picked up the call, cleared his throat, his tone came out extremely polite. "Hello, Mr. Miracle~ ..."

"Hello, Prof. Stephens~ ... uhh~ ... are you busy now? I hope I haven’t disturbed you," he said.

"No~ ... not at all. Please, speak freely," Fabian replied, leaning forward, his fingers tracing the document on his lap.

"Actually~ ... I need a little help from you on something~ ...." William said, his voice uncertain.

"Please say it."

"Umm~ .... Do you know someone where I can buy a good second hand car from?" William finally asked.

"A car?" Fabian wasn’t expecting that.

William let out, "Hmm~ ... I have been trying to purchase it for a while now, but frankly, I am not quite familiar with all the details and functions. But as things have unfolded, with what had happened with Myra~ .... I don’t want to delay it any longer. Plus, it would be convenient for going back and forth between our house and the hospital. I can’t always bother you and Yelena for little stuff."

"It is not a bother at all, Mr. Miracle. I would do my utmost best to help you with anything," Fabian said humbly. "As for the car, I will look into it and get back to you shortly."

"Thank you very much, Prof. Stephens. Really, thank you," William was immensely grateful.

"Mr. Miracle~ .... ahhh~ ... you can call me Fabian, as Myra and Yelena do," Fabian pressed.

"How could I do that?" William shook his head.

"Of course you can. Myra is my friend, and you are her father. You have every right to speak informally," Fabian buttered him up.

William contemplated for a moment, but eventually he decided to go with it, "Okay, Fabian."

"Mr. Miracle, how is Myra now? I was about to come to the hospital," Fabian said. He had been busy with meetings and Jacob’s matter all day, so he wasn’t able to go and see Myra yet.

William told him the situation. Fabian, of course, was stunned and ready to go to the hospital at that very instant. But William said, "She is sleeping now. Sandra and I are here. You can come in the evening."

Fabian was reluctant, but he couldn’t defy William’s word.
