Chapter 113: Little Dog

"Are you insane?!"

Andrea held her breath before turning her head to meet with the horrified gaze of her mother.

"No, I’m not mother. I just want to help my friend."

"Your friend?" Her mother scoffed in that cold Vampiric voice only her could pull off. It made the air present in the dinning room with them tense as their dead hearts continued to hold their pace. "How long as your friendship been with the werewolf princess that you wish to throw away your immortal life in the dungeons for?!"

Both of Andrea’s hands clenched into tight fist as she was this close to snapping at them all. Her father was the worst. He was judging her with a look that it was something she wasn’t capable of doing. Like she was just busy blabbing her mouth and dead heart before them based on how she was feeling. But she wouldn’t be stupid enough to actually execute her thoughts. So, he remained calm while taking slow sips of blood out of his large cup.

"It doesn’t matter how long we’ve been friends. What matters is that I have a friend of mine in danger— worse, in the captivity of the demon prince. Only god knows what he might be doing to her now as we speak. I can’t sit back here while I have a friend trapped out there and in mortal danger!"

"I will not allow this of you!" The Vampire queen frightened everyone by jumping out of her seats with her pale hands slammed hard on the table between them. Andrea stared at her mother in shock as she had never seen her this angry before.

"It’s either you stay alive and keep your honor as the future of our kingdom, or you betray us all by going to a place that means death for you!"

"But mother—"

"Not another breath from you, young lady!" Her mother hissed before storming out of the dinning room in fury.

Evangeline couldn’t tell how long she had been held hostage here. But judging by how she misses everyone back home tells her it must have been a long time.

Ree-ree left after that day he cornered her to drill the thought of her being his queen into her left with numerous demons outside the dungeons.

He was the scariest when those large numbers of hellish monsters answers to his call for another round of oppression and destruction. Which further made the role and title of her being his queen even more distasteful than it could ever be.

Eva sighed softly as she remained in his damned castle, overlooking the dry, empty, lifeless desert that stretched on miles upon miles before her.

Probably she should try running away again. There couldn’t possibly be demons out there waiting for her alone to devour. If she is lucky and as stealthy as much as possible, she might be able to make it out of here alive unhurt.

She stepped back from the dark railings of the balcony of the equally terrifying room he forced her to share with him and decided on escaping now or never.

When he returns from god knows which poor creatures he has set out to go destroy now, it would be more than impossible for her to be free from him.

She didn’t have any winter coat with her in case she made it out of the dungeons. And the dress she was putting on was a bit revealing. So, she decided to wear one of his...and frowned when she looked like mice being forced to wear a ball gown in it.

The long dark raven coat with ominions fur around the edges smelled of him and for a moment, she wondered why she pulled it closer to herself. For God’s sake, she was supposed to be hating on him and not falling deeply for him again.

She pushed her lips to the sides and crept out of their room and down a set of hallways. She would have expected to be challenged by a demon guard or anything else, but not the new leader of his harem and some members.

Eva felt like a mouse waiting to be devoured as she stood before them. The new leader looking beautiful with her fangs pushing down threatening behind her dark red lips as her matching red slits shaped eyes eyed her from head to toe with disgust.

"Ah, would you look at that? We finally get to meet face to face, isn’t it little dog?"

Eva at first grew confused about who was the little dog she was talking too. She turned to search for the person behind her but found none.

"Me?"

"Who else is in front of me?" The leader took an intimidating step before her and smirked. "We’ve been here centuries before you dreamt of coming into this world. And we have only been the one faithful to his needs. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you are special or greatly loved than any of us by him just because he lets you cling to his sides at all times. He would soon get tired of your stupid attachment and have you thrown to be trained in our hands."

Eva gulped at her threat and backed away to put more breathing space between them.

"He is not yours alone. Don’t make that mistake, or you could end up in-between my fangs dead where no one would be able to trace your body."

Eva gulped down again in horror.

Jesus Christ.

How would she tell them that he has always been theirs, and she was not interested in competing with them for his attention?

"Got that?"

Eva nodded without anyone telling her twice how freaking intimidating this demoness was.

"If I were you, I would be more worried as to why a werewolf is doing unguarded in the realm of demons than clinging to His Darkness all day."

"I am not—"

They didn’t give her a chance as they all moved past her to tell them that the reverse was the case. He was the one who wouldn’t let her go, no matter how she pleaded.

They hadn’t moved so far from her when a demon came running down the hallway announcing his sudden return. Eva gripped her chest in fear and thought of being so dramatic enough to roll on the floor with her eyes balling with hot tears of disappointment.

Why was he back so soon when she finally had the courage of run away? It’s like he could read her thoughts or something.

Eva froze at that possibility.

"Aren’t you going to come to pay your respect to his arrival?!"

The bitch snapped at her as about twelve pairs of eyes glared daggers into her soul. Eva smiled sheepishly at them and nodded while trailing behind them.

Never mind, there would be more opportunities for a perfect escape from him.
