Chapter 2117: Chapter 2094: Snow White

Gao Yang was very interested in the big guy because he was really massive.

"Hey, buddy, how tall are you?"

The big guy slowly raised his head, looked at Gao Yang, pointed at his nose, and said, "Sir, are you asking me?"

"Yes, how tall are you?"

"Two meters and four."

"And how much do you weigh?"

"About 140 kilograms, I haven’t weighed myself in some time, sir."

The big guy had a friendly smile on his face, looking silly, though he was tall and strong, he didn’t seem threatening.

Gao Yang nodded repeatedly and smiled, "No problem, just asking casually."

The big guy smiled and reached out to pick up the big iron bucket on the cart, casually lifting it to move the bucket filled with soup to the ground.

Vorvitsky returned to the command post with a few meal boxes, handed them out one by one to Gao Yang and the others, and laughed, "Actually, our borscht isn’t bad."

Wizard nodded, took the meal box in front of the big guy and said seriously, "Soldier, fill it up for me."

"Alright, sir."

The big guy cheerfully took a long-handled iron spoon, filled with soup for Wizard, and casually took out black bread from the nearby barrel. Wizard nodded in thanks and took his borscht and bread aside.

"Sir, come eat inside the command post, it’ll soon be noisy here."

Wizard didn’t plan on accepting Vorvitsky’s goodwill; he shook his head and said, "I’ll eat here with the soldiers."

Gao Yang sat down next to Wizard with his soup-filled meal box and laughed: "Don’t mind us, we’ll eat right here."

The soldiers gradually came over from every corner, and the big guy kept cheerfully serving soup and bread; an older soldier shouted, "Big guy, you must have stolen a bite, right?"

The big guy laughed, "No, no, I didn’t steal any."

A group of people laughed, the older veteran also laughed heartily, and when the big guy handed him the bread, he held one end and said loudly, "Got it."

As he forcefully broke the bread in half, the veteran laughed, "I can’t finish a whole loaf, the rest is yours."

"Thank you."

After smiling honestly, the big guy put the half bread in his mouth and took a bite, then placed the remaining half back in the big barrel.

Vorvitsky’s soldiers couldn’t all eat at once; only a part of them could eat now, about thirty or so gathered together, while others stayed at their posts or on their own positions; Gao Yang noticed that at least seven or eight people broke some bread for the big guy.

Wizard frowned and seriously looked at Vorvitsky, saying, "What’s going on? Can’t he get full? The supplies you’ve been given shouldn’t let anyone go hungry."

Vorvitsky laughed, "He works in the kitchen, how could he be hungry? Uh, I don’t know how to explain, you’ll know soon."

The big guy stood by the iron barrel, holding the large iron spoon, cheerfully watching people eat; some, after finishing the borscht, would go to refill, and the big guy would refill their soup for them.

After a while, seeing that no one was eating, Vorvitsky shouted, "Anyone not full?"

After asking, Vorvitsky said to the big guy, "Alright, no one is eating anymore, quickly finish the rest and head back."

"Okay."

The big guy agreed cheerfully, took the half loaf he bit, and with a loud bite, took the iron spoon, scooped the soup, gulping it down.

One spoonful was a meal box full of soup; the big guy gulped it down in two mouthfuls, then ate the half loaf in two bites, turned his head to look at the white dog wagging its tail at him, and smiled: "Hold on, here’s yours."

He took half a loaf, broke it into pieces, holding them in his hand, fed the dog, and then scooped some soup, placing it in front of the dog, which started drinking from the big iron spoon.

"Uh, um..."

Gao Yang, unable to drink anymore, looked at Vorvitsky with a bitter smile, "That guy is really, really special, but aren’t you worried about using the same spoon as the dog?"

"Yuri! Don’t forget to wash the spoon later."

After shouting, Vorvitsky helplessly said, "No use, told him many times, now too lazy to say, but fortunately he does wash the spoon."

The big guy scooped more soup; this time he drank himself, chomping bites of bread, drinking sips of soup, and feeding the dog, looking harmonious together.

Gao Yang noticed that combining the bread halves, there must be over three loaves, very long big bread; the big guy cleared them with few bites, then picked up the iron barrel with leftovers, gulped the bottom soup clean.

After drinking the soup bottom, the big guy wiped his mouth and said to Vorvitsky, "Captain, I’m going back."

"Hurry back and eat again."

After speaking, Vorvitsky turned to Wizard and said, "Now you understand, it’s not that we don’t feed him, he just doesn’t get full, eating for three isn’t enough, five still isn’t; this guy’s appetite matches his size."

The big guy slowly embraced the iron barrel back onto the cart, Wizard watched the big guy and mumbled, "Can’t he fight?"

Vorvitsky replied with a wry smile, "No, he’s too slow, always sluggish, so I put him in the kitchen; tried to give him a gun and make him a warrior, but this guy, you saw him, hard to believe he’s actually a Cossack."

Wizard nodded, "Understood, such a pity for his build."

Just then, sudden gunfire erupted.

Everyone instinctively looked towards the gunfire, Vorvitsky, not panicking, simply shouted, "The enemy attacks again, prepare for battle."

Gao Yang shouted, "Does fighting happen frequently around here?"

"Yes, almost every day."

After Vorvitsky shouted back to Gao Yang, he yelled: "Back to your places, stay alert, this attack might come strong."

Gao Yang heard a familiar whistling sound, then yelled, "Mortar! Get down!"

The mortar didn’t hit the crowd, but landed very close to Gao Yang and the others; it was a particularly hurried shelling. After eight consecutive explosions, Gao Yang shouted, "It’s the Vasilek Mortar, lacks accuracy!"

The sudden shelling scattered the crowd in avoidance, then Gao Yang heard the big guy panic and shout, "Snow White, come back!"
