Li Jinfang took the lead and rushed in, but he had to retreat immediately after just peeking in, driven out by gunfire.

There weren’t many people inside, but just a few guns were enough to firmly block the not-so-wide entrance, so the assault team was unsurprisingly stuck outside.

If they couldn’t get in, they would just have to endure the crossfire from three sides; to get in, they’d have to force their way through a bloody path.

"Grenade!"

Sirte charged in like a flash and then retracted with even faster speed, urgently whispering, "Grenade!"

Still unable to get in, the enemy fire was too fierce and accurate. When Sirte retreated, his bulletproof vest was already embedded with two rounds.

If they couldn’t break through, there was nothing else to do but risk it; staying outside was more dangerous, and the longer they delayed, the more perilous it would become.

Li Jinfang gritted his teeth, muttering, "I’m going! Maintain cover and follow closely, grenade!"

Frey and Jesse Lee each gripped two grenades, one fragmentation and one shock grenade, while Li Jinfang and Sirte stood behind them, ready to charge in once the grenades were thrown.

Approaching the entrance again, Frey tossed the grenades continuously, while Jesse Lee, after throwing his grenades, rushed in directly, not tentatively, but fully committed, unable to retreat even if he wanted to.

Unsurprisingly, Jesse Lee couldn’t stand his ground at all, blood blossoming on him rapidly.

Strictly speaking, this was unexpected because Jesse Lee did not strictly follow the planned tactical actions. He was supposed to retreat after throwing the grenades, allowing the more capable Li Jinfang and Sirte to force the breakthrough, followed by Peter and Taylor, who replaced James, to push forward and open the path.

Li Jinfang and Sirte coordinated extremely well; the moment Jesse Lee fell, they split and attacked left and right, and while they didn’t instantly eliminate all the enemies inside, they succeeded in killing three and finally secured a foothold, suppressing the enemies hiding in the room, allowing the follow-up assault team members to rush in.

Albert dragged Jesse Lee out by the leg, while Li Jinfang, Peter, and Taylor covered each other, advancing to the right side, leaving the others behind in the cramped hall to suppress the enemy and prevent them from showing their faces.

The Wizard and his team also entered the castle’s annex; they weren’t there to support the assault team but had been pinned down outside and couldn’t hold out any longer.

Li Jinfang charged toward the right side as Yake had directed, with Number Thirteen constantly following them.

Unsure of which room Rafael was being held in, they could only search one by one. Li Jinfang kicked open a door, quickly scanning inside with his gun, and finding it empty, didn’t search thoroughly before retreating to cover Taylor as he kicked open another door.

As soon as this door opened, someone inside started firing repeatedly with a pistol. Taylor didn’t dodge nor hesitate, firing back and swiftly killing the enemy before signaling with a wave.

With two covering and one breaking in, Peter was not as agile, so it was again Li Jinfang who kicked open the door, revealing Rafael tied naked to a chair, his mouth sealed tightly with tape, unable to make a sound, but his eyes were straining to the left.

Li Jinfang nodded, extending his gun inward, and Number Thirteen squeezed in underneath him, lying on the floor and firing two shots.

After Number Thirteen crawled in and fired, Li Jinfang quickly ducked in and scanned the opposite direction with his gun, swiftly saying, "Found Skunk!"

There was a person in the room, hiding in the corner with a submachine gun, already killed by Number Thirteen’s two shots, and no one else was present.

Number Thirteen quickly moved to the bound Rafael, who had a large bruise at the corner of his eye, his right eye swollen nearly shut, and his body marked with bruises and scars from beatings. Number Thirteen shot off the handcuffs binding Rafael’s hands and then the shackles, but when Rafael tried to stand, he immediately collapsed again.

Li Jinfang urgently asked, "Take him; can you carry him?"

Number Thirteen nodded silently, hoisting Rafael onto his back. Li Jinfang immediately said, "We need to evacuate with Skunk; cover us!"

Glolov, who was holding a machine gun outside and struggling to hold, received Li Jinfang’s notification and immediately shouted, "Evacuate, evacuate! Smoke screens! Throw all the smoke screens!"

Smoke screens were meant for the evacuation, to obscure the enemy’s view. However, to rescue Rafael, Glolov and his men couldn’t throw all the smoke screens at once, or they’d block their own view, preventing suppression of the enemy. Instead, they threw a few smoke screens at locations they couldn’t cover to decrease enemy fire as much as possible. Now that they could evacuate, they tossed all the smoke screens out.

The assault team, carrying Rafael, quickly rushed out, everyone firing as they retreated, and the smoke grew thicker. As it filled the entire open space, soon both sides had their vision entirely obscured.

Running out with Rafael, the formation couldn’t get disorganized, but they finally escaped being attacked on three sides, and the situation greatly improved.

Once they charged out of the castle, Glolov furiously said, "Big Mister! What’s going on, where’s your support?"

When Satan arrived, it wasn’t just one team. Although Satan’s main force was the core of the rescue operation, Big Mister Ludwig’s team was meant to intercept and provide cover for withdrawal outside. However, as the battle commenced, they hadn’t shown up, leaving Glolov very displeased.
