Chapter 1017: Class [Bonus Chapter]

The Older Generation sat together at the side as they watched these seemingly normal children laugh genuinely, but none of them were fooled. They had just witnessed the amount of power each of them possessed, and none of them here stood a chance against any of them.

It seemed as though this group of the Younger Generation had taken the saying, "the young shall surpass the old," far more seriously than anyone could have imagined.

Smiles appeared on their faces. After all, this generation would be responsible for the safety of the Galaxy. In fact, in a way, they already were. Although the Older Generation knew that they still possessed immense vitality and lifespan remaining, and were wealthy to the point that even if they were about to die of old age they could simply use a treasure to revitalize themselves... they understood one harsh truth.

In a Galaxy like the Acarnis Galaxy, only ordinary people died of old age. Those who walked the path of cultivation also walked the path of light and death, where every moment could be their last, their final breath. It was difficult to find any cultivator, especially those on their level, who had died of old age. They always died either during battles, or in some ancient ruin they had been exploring. There was always a cause.

None of them wished to die of old age. They all wished to go out with a bang, in battle, to die gloriously and honorably. But just because they carried such thoughts did not mean they would be dying anytime soon. Please, they had children whom they were still watching grow.

"I remember when he was still a snotty brat, always waking up early to train, wishing he would awaken a good class. He seemed to be intelligent right from when he was very little," Mitchelle spoke, her tone somewhat nostalgic as she remembered the past Anthony who had once been nothing but a kid. She even remembered telling him to stop training with the sword every single day or he might one day awaken as a mechanic instead.

To her, those were amusing times, moments when she could still fool Anthony with such ridiculous statements. But now her son had grown into a man, a man who toyed with Life and Death as though they were merely suggestions.

"I also remember those," Michael’s voice cut in the moment Mitchelle finished speaking.

As he spoke, Collins and Mitchelle simultaneously turned their gaze toward Michael, wondering what exactly he remembered. He had not even been present in Anthony’s life until the boy turned ten years old, as he had been held back by certain military duties that had kept him away for years.

Michael, seeing his father’s and wife’s gaze, could only cough awkwardly as he spoke, "I was merely joking around."

They gazed at him one last time, then shook their heads before removing their gaze from him and turning their attention away.

"If I might ask, what class did Anthony awaken? He seems so powerful, so he must possess some outrageous class, right?" Zachary asked the Null family.

"The Magic-Swordsman class," Mitchelle replied flatly, as there was nothing to hide there. There were other people with such a class within the Blue Planet and also across the Galaxy, but obviously none of them were anywhere near Anthony’s level.

Zachary arched an eyebrow before nodding slowly. He and the others had expected something far more balance-breaking, but it seemed Anthony’s class itself was not particularly outrageous. It was the boy himself who was outrageously talented.

"Anyway, since we are done here, we should return," Zachary spoke as he rose from his seat. He did not bother turning toward Aaaninja. The boy was a fully grown man, not a child. Aaaninja could return whenever he wished.

The others also rose from their seats, preparing to leave as they all wished to enter seclusion. After all, there was nothing else to do here. But before they could leave, Michael suddenly spoke.

"Klaus, I guess it’s time for our spar, no?"

Klaus paused slightly. He seemed to have forgotten about it entirely, as he had been rather eager to enter seclusion himself. "It seems so," he replied.

Everyone’s gaze immediately turned toward Klaus and Michael, curiosity flashing across their faces. But before anyone could even speak, Michael spoke first.

"No one will be watching."

With those words, he vanished together with Klaus, Amara, Collins, and Mitchelle.

Michael was not a fool. He knew he would most likely lose against Klaus, and there was absolutely no need to invite outsiders to watch him get beaten up. Everyone, seeing them vanish, could only sigh. They all gave one final glance toward their children before they themselves vanished in streaks of light, leaving only the Younger Generation present.

"It seems the time to leave has arrived," Aura Nova spoke as she watched Rain vanish.

"Seems so," Aaaninja stated as he rose from his seat before floating toward Altheria without the slightest hesitation.

"I wonder when next we will meet," Kingsley spoke as he fell into his thoughts.

"We will. No need to think too much about it," Anthony replied calmly as he floated toward Vega.

But before he could reach Vega, Lucian suddenly appeared before him and opened a sound barrier that encased them both, isolating their voices and hiding whatever discussion they were about to have.

Anthony arched an eyebrow, wondering what Lucian was doing, but he did not speak.

"If I may ask, do you have any type of pill that increases one’s natural talent?" Lucian asked. His words were straight and direct as he did not bother beating around the bush. He knew Anthony possessed the OP system and could purchase such things with a mere thought, but he also knew the type of man Anthony was. Anthony would only give something out if he personally wished to do so, not because someone bowed before him or acted sycophantic.

Anthony stayed silent for a moment before finally speaking.

"For Veronica?" he asked, his words sounding more like a conclusion than a question.

Lucian simply nodded without saying a single word.

Anthony did not react much. He simply raised his hand, and a pinkish pill with the scent of strawberries appeared on his palm. Without missing a beat, he tossed it toward Lucian as though it were nothing more than a worthless object.

Anthony had no reason to decline or ask pointless investigative questions. To him, it was nothing. Besides, Veronica was Vega’s best friend, and Lucian was his friend as well.

"Thank—"

But before Lucian could even complete his sentence, Anthony was already gone. He had teleported away and appeared beside Vega as though he had never been there.

"Goodbye. It was nice meeting all of you. I’m sure we will be meeting again soon for the battle against the Angels," Anthony spoke with a smile. But before anyone could even reply to him, he vanished together with Vega, leaving everyone else behind in silence.
