Miracle Card Shop: All My Cards Can Be Actualize-Chapter 355 Restriction of Time
Chapter 355 Restriction of Time f𝐫e𝚎𝘄eb𝚗o𝐯𝐞𝐥.𝐜𝚘m
Daniel continued to open more booster packs, his anticipation growing with each one. Finally, he stumbled upon another intriguing legendary card.
Card Name: Lake of Avalon
Illustration: A vast, silvery lake reflecting the light and blue sky above. Magical particles glint on its surface, while fog hovers gently above. The surrounding forest is filled with yellow fae fluttering about.
Rarity: Legendary
Type: Unique Location
Description:
Tap: Gain 1 Light or Water Mana.
Gain 5 Life each time you tap 'Lake of Avalon' for mana.
Flavor Text: The Lake of Avalon, a place of healing and the final resting place of both Arthur, the wise king of Camelot, and Excalibur, the Sword of the King.
This was the first time Daniel had received a Location card from a booster pack, a departure from the conversion cards he usually used to convert the properties in the real world, feeding him mana. He wondered what would happen once he actualized this card.
Would it manifest in the real world, its grandeur on display for all to see? Or would it reside solely in his mindscape, akin to Dilmun, where he could draw mana from it regardless of the distance from the location he converted into a mana pool?
Regardless of the circumstances, Daniel felt that this box had provided enough pleasant surprises to justify all the points he had invested in it. He eagerly rifled through a few more booster packs but didn't find any legendary cards until he reached the last one. Typically, each box set contained three legendary cards, so he anticipated finding one in this final pack.
As Daniel opened the booster pack, his eyes lit up with excitement. There it was, another card he had always wanted from this box set, a card he desired even more than Arthur himself.
Card Name: Mordred - The Knight of Ruin
Illustration: Depicts a blonde-haired woman with a face resembling a porcelain doll, yet her fierce and commanding smile exudes a barbaric allure. She wears black and red armor, her sword emanating dark magic as she stands tall amidst the chaos of battle.
Rarity: Legendary
Type: Unique Creature - Human Knight
Mana Cost: 1 Fire, 1 Dark, 4 Non-Element
Description:
Empower 4
Whenever a creature dies due to damage from 'Mordred - The Knight of Ruin,' place X Empower Counters on 'Mordred - The Knight of Ruin,' where X equals the killed creature's toughness.
If 'Mordred - The Knight of Ruin' has 4 or more Empower counters, it gains Indestructible.
Power: 2
Toughness: 2
Flavor Text: Mordred - The Knight of Ruin, the boldest of knights unafraid of any adversary. Her first experience of fear was when confronted with the prospect of killing her own father, leading her to only wound him. However, this hesitation ultimately cost her life, though it left her with a sense of relief.
Empower: Increases both Power and Toughness by +1 for each counter. After the creature attacks, remove 1 Empower counters, once combat resolves.
This card is one of Daniel's favorites due to its unique ability. It's not overpowering on its own, but with the right card and combo, it can become formidable. For instance, an Enchantment card that grants counters to the creature whenever one is removed, or a card that doubles the counters on it every turn.
Additionally, the Empower ability to remove counters only triggers if the creature attacks. Therefore, Daniel can use another card to utilize this creature's power as a source of damage to destroy another card, ensuring that its Empower counters remain intact.
After Daniel opened all of the cards, he walked toward the actualization room where he needed to stay to actualize the unique sentient creature card. The first card he chose to actualize was, of course, Mordred.
The point counter on the wall was reduced by 5,000 and then abruptly stopped. There were no particles or any other signs of activity. Daniel thought this might have happened because he couldn't actualize her the same way he did with Poseidon. However, this shouldn't be possible since the Keeper had promised to prevent such occurrences.
Confused, Daniel walked out of the room and called out to the Keeper. The Keeper nodded and approached Daniel, curious about what had happened.
"How may I help you, sir?" he asked.
"Can you take a look at this? I don't know what happened," Daniel said, pointing toward the counter on the wall.
The Keeper entered the room to inspect the wall. He closed his eyes and then opened them again, his eyes glowing blue as if they had turned into fiery orbs. He observed the river of star-like energy objects, bundling together like massive tree roots, with something transparent covering a section of it.
Teleporting to that section, the Keeper found the transparent film-like phenomenon covering a vast area, extending as far as entire solar galaxies.
"Hmmm..." the Keeper muttered, examining the phenomenon before deciding to eliminate it.
"Why has a time restriction suddenly appeared here? Mr. Emberweave clearly actualized the card according to the rules of the world. He didn't actualize a living thing or powerful sentient being that still exists in the world of the living," the Keeper pondered.
"Wait, does this restriction come from time itself? Does this actualization violate the rules of time?" the Keeper mused again, closing his eyes to sense the flow of time restriction.
"I see... it seems only Mr. Emberweave can resolve this himself," the Keeper concluded, nodding to himself before turning back. There was nothing he could do that wouldn't negatively affect the rules of the world and time.
The Keeper returned, his tone apologetic as he addressed Daniel. "I'm deeply sorry, Mr. Emberweave," he said, bowing respectfully. "I'm afraid this time I can't be of assistance."
"Oh? What happened?" Daniel inquired, curiosity piqued.
"It seems that this card violates the rule of time, which states that Event B cannot occur before Event A. For example, you can't make an omelet if you haven't broken the egg first. In your case, you're trying to make the omelet without breaking the egg, which is impossible," explained the Keeper.
"So, how do I break... this egg?" Daniel asked.
"To be honest, I don't know," admitted the Keeper. "But considering the circumstances and the fact that you already have the card, I assume you'll find a way to break the egg eventually. Just live your life as you normally would, doing the things you like and want to do. That's all the advice I can offer you for now."
"So… Can I continue with actualizing? Or do I need to do something specific before I can continue?" Daniel inquired.
The Keeper fell silent, pondering for a moment before responding. "You don't need to do anything specific, but… to be on the safe side, until you break the egg, you shouldn't use any card from this 'Rise of Camelot' Set. Otherwise, things might turn ugly, and I may need to close this shop to repair the fabric of reality once again," he explained.
"No problem. So… This means I can actualize these mysterious cards?" Daniel presented the enigmatic card filled with question marks in its details.
"Please, go ahead, sir. But I'll be just outside the door in case something happens, so I can assist you to the best of my ability," the Keeper assured.
"Thank you very much," Daniel expressed with a smile.
After the Keeper exited the room, Daniel proceeded with his actualization. He immersed his mind into the mindscape and chose to actualize the female Oni Samurai.
As the accumulated points diminished, the once bright starry sky, unnoticed by Daniel, dimmed slightly as it drew power from countless worlds, possibilities, and realities. A solitary soul responded to the call of the starry sky, merging with Daniel as light particles coalesced into the form of a kneeling female samurai.
Once the particles fully gathered and solidified, the figure of a beautiful red-haired female oni samurai appeared before Daniel. Her eyes closed, then fluttered open, meeting Daniel's gaze with determination as she bowed before him once again.
"Tomoe Gozen is ready to serve, my lord. Please point me to your enemy, and I shall bring their head to you!" she declared, her hand tightening around her naginata.
"So… Tomoe-San, may I call you that?" Daniel asked.
"Yes… you may call me as such, my lord," Tomoe replied.
"You may rise, Tomoe-san. Please guard me for now, and later I will bring you to meet your comrades," said Daniel before he exited the room and returned to the real world.
He decided to save his last 10,000 points for now, as he didn't currently require more warrior types. Plus, he had to admit, having a beautiful female samurai as a guardian felt a lot better than having a sweat-smelling male.
Daniel brought Tomoe to meet Envy first, as he needed to pass the command room to reach the medical center anyway.
"Oh, another one?" Envy remarked with a mischievous smile, eyeing Tomoe from head to toe. Then, with a smirk, she added, "Tell me, Danny... Do you perhaps have a serious case of warrior girl fetish?"
