Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva-Chapter 473 - 182: The First Step of the Music Company
In the new term at Edith Academy, the atmosphere had changed. There were fewer students lazing around, while the training grounds, laboratories, and libraries saw a significant increase in visitors.
Even those who initially lacked motivation gradually got caught up in this new spirit and began to seek out activities that interested them.
In the underground training grounds, Tilan tied up her hair at the back of her head, then picked up a wooden sword from the side and stepped into the area where everyone was training together.
Her gaze swept over the attendees as she nodded slightly, "Let’s start."
One after another, the students wielding their wooden swords charged at her. They were clearly well aware of Hexia’s abilities; they covered for each other in combat, attacking from different directions to make it difficult for their opponent to fend off the onslaught.
However, the battle didn’t go as smoothly as expected. The girl seemed to stroll forward leisurely but was in fact fully focused. Her sword edge blocked and parried blows, then she twisted her body and used fragmented sword flashes to deflect attacks from various angles.
It wasn’t until she reached the center of the hall that she stopped. The wooden sword in her hand then transformed, sprouting new shoots from what was originally an inanimate object. Pale green and white vines began to grow along the sword hilt, extending continuously until they formed a shape similar to a spear, with the original blade becoming the spear tip.
With the green and white spear twirling effortlessly in her hands, the black-haired girl in the training ground demonstrated remarkable flexibility. She used the spear to leap, flipping over the blades coming at her, then spun again, with the spear blade rotating to meet the incoming attacks from all directions.
Thus, until the last student on the field was knocked down, the spear spun a few times before settling back into the girl’s hands. The grown parts rapidly withered before it once again resembled a wooden sword.
"That’s enough for today," she said, putting the wooden sword away. Then she explained some of the issues they encountered during the fight to the students present before leaving the training area for the changing room.
Standing in front of the mirror, Tilan tidied her slightly messy hair, removed her slightly sweaty socks, and went to the washroom to rinse her feet. The cool splash of water was refreshing and clear.
After she dried off, she put on a new pair of black long socks and then left the training grounds.
Today at noon, she and Deloris had agreed to have lunch together in the garden restaurant.
Five minutes later, Tilan emerged from the elevator and came to the restaurant which resembled an aerial garden. Deloris was already there waiting for her.
"I’m late," Tilan walked over and sat down in front of Deloris.
"It’s okay. You were upstairs training the students, right? How did it go?" Deloris lightly tapped the projection panel on the table, commanding an Autonomous Unit to bring over some delicious juice.
"It went well; everyone’s working hard," Tilan reflected briefly, feeling that everyone indeed had made quick progress recently and had put in more effort compared to last term.
Then the two briefly discussed the recent situation within the Academy until the Autonomous Unit delivered the chilled juice.
"Thank you~" Picking up the cup, Tilan sipped through the straw to quench her thirst, immediately feeling much better.
"You look a bit tired," Deloris shook her head slightly.
Compared to last term, when Tilan loved to laze in the clubroom, this term her familiar friend could be described as brimming with energy.
She not only dealt with the affairs of the student council but also took time to inspect the various clubs within the Academy, offering suggestions or urging improvements. Consequently, Edith Academy was now like a well-oiled machine, lacking the previous laissez-faire and relaxed atmosphere.
"I’m a bit tired, yes, but I also feel very fulfilled," the girl gently shook her cup, listening to the clear sound of the ice cubes clinking against each other, then set the cup down.
"What about you, Deloris? What have you been up to recently?" In her mind, this scion of a wealthy family had always been involved in managing her family’s business affairs, but Deloris had always kept such matters well separated from her Academy life.
"Recently, I’ve mostly been pushing the company’s designers to come up with a project," Deloris replied, her smile brightening as she looked at the curious black-haired girl in front of her.

"What kind of project is it?" the girl queried, sensing Deloris’s uplifted mood.
"It’s related to you, Tilan."
"Huh?" The girl tilted her head, puzzled.
"Tilan, aren’t you aware that you’ve become quite famous? In fact, over the past two months, a lot of news media, magazines, and journals have reported stories and information about you, as well as some interesting bits of gossip."
"I see," Tilan nodded slightly, cognizant of such matters recently, but she hadn’t paid much attention, assuming that the hype would gradually subside with time.
"As a songstress, Tilan should certainly dress up, especially when appearing in the public eye,"
"It’s rare that one of my friends is a songstress. If I don’t make good use of it, I’d be letting down this delightful surprise," said Deloris, covering her mouth as she chuckled.
"In short, I’ve had the team design a lot of clothing, accessories, and even a signature perfume and custom memorabilia for you,"
"This way, Tilan, as a songstress, you won’t have to worry about which gown to wear to each event or how to give back to your fans with beloved mementos."
"This, it seems like we don’t need to go through all that trouble," Tilan blinked, feeling slightly uneasy.
"No can do, Tilan," Deloris wagged her finger with a shake of her head.
"You’re a songstress after all, bound to attend many formal occasions or participate in major events in the future. Your clothing style, accessories, and promotional images all need careful consideration to quickly boost your popularity, and even spread it to other star domains."
"Ultimately, you’ll need to become famous, Tilan."
"Just like you said, you can’t stay as laid-back as before."
"I did speak at the opening ceremony, but back then, what I said was about everyone pursuing the goals in their hearts," the girl mused over her words.
"That’s true, but my ideal is to dress up Tilan, this beautiful gem, and present her to everyone," Deloris said as she approached, then gently wrapped her hands around Tilan’s shoulders. From this close, Tilan could even smell a faint, soothing fragrance emanating from Deloris.
Her fingers and wrists were covered in black lace gloves, and her dress was adorned with black lace cut-out patterns. Deloris’s style was filled with a subtle air of mystery, reminiscent of an aristocratic young lady from ancient times.
"...Okay then, but just to be clear, I won’t wear anything too outlandish," the girl said, shaking her head as she tentatively agreed to Deloris’s suggestion.
"Don’t worry, I know Tilan’s personality. You’re a bit shy and conservative, so most of the dresses designed for you lean towards a classical style," Deloris assured.
After lunch arrived, the two continued to discuss Tilan’s future public appearances and fashion choices.
"A songstress always has a closet full of clothes that never runs out. You also hardly see songstresses wear the same outfit more than once in videos, right?"
"Besides, I’d love to see Tilan in different styles too. For instance, Tilan in Eastern finery, Tilan in a summer dress, Tilan in a school uniform, Tilan wearing glasses and loving to study, Tilan quietly napping, Tilan in a dark gothic dress, and so on,"
At that moment, Deloris had returned to her seat across from her, sipping tea elegantly and beautifully, making it hard to believe she was the one who had just made those comments.
"Does Deloris do the same?"
Tilan remembered asking Annelli why she was so happy every day, and her answer had embarrassed her for a long while. She hadn’t expected that this familiar, well-to-do young lady would see her the same way.
"Ahem, I understand Deloris’s intentions," she said, cutting off her good friend’s words, steering the conversation to another topic.
After finishing their meal, the two took a stroll along the Academy’s corridors, occasionally greeted by students. Deloris also began to explain in detail the unique and rare identity of a songstress, how business collaborations were typically conducted within the Federation, what kinds of events were organized, and how to generate income.
"In short, the largest source of income for a songstress is still through collaborations and sponsorships with major corporations, followed by joint merchandising products, and then comes concert ticket sales, album sales, and so on..."
With Deloris’s patient explanations, the young girl gradually understood her commercial value and the competitions it attracted.
It seemed that establishing her own music and economic company was an urgent matter, and when it came to managing the complex business and tax issues, Tilan couldn’t help but think of a maid she had once known.
"Hello, is this Miss Grey Crow?"
This ’Mammon’ of the ’Seven Deadly Sins’ maids from ’Dream of Glazed Glass,’ was currently the most professional and competent in business among those Tilan knew, even more so than Deloris in terms of understanding specific matters.

"No problem, I’ll take a plane to South First District tomorrow. Looking after juniors like ’Dantalion’ is a big sister’s duty, after all."
On the projected screen, this petite woman with silver hair, donned in a light coffee-colored coat over a black sweater, sat beside a bar. Behind her was the familiar ’Vurowus,’ with ’Andusia’ in a white dress and the mischievous ’Belfeng’ in the vicinity.
It seemed that today’s ’Dream of Glazed Glass’ was exceptionally lively.
